Dania

New to the twin cities so while out shopping for furniture at all the usual dives, I took a wrong turn and ended up at Dania purely by accident. When I walked in it was love at first sight! Items are modern, better quality than IKEA but not break the bank expensive. I’ve ordered some nice items from them. The staff is friendly and helpful but not pushy.
I tell everyone I know about this place!

Update. Gerry went to return the poofs, still half opened on Saturday and it was the worst experience I could imagine.
The lady accused him of just disliking the fabric and she had the nerve to say to the sales rep, that he changed his mind. Then said that they cannot guarantee the fabric quality and there will be variations in the fabric. That is so absurd.
We did not buy this sticky icky fabric, we bought what was on the show floor. I know you have a NO RETURN policy, but you are only allowed to enforce that IF I actually received what you were selling.
Not my fault these were disgusting. We would have rather kept them if they were in good repair and kept shopping here. However, because of the return experience, we will NEVER shop here again, even after your name changes to Scandinavian Whatever.
My suggestion is even stronger now than before… RUN! RUN QUICK and never look back.

Ordered two poofs. Came soiled, discolored, stained and sticky! Ick!
Just run. I cannot trust the furniture that i get from here. Ill update after i try returning tomorrow.

Do not buy anything at Dania!
They are dishonest. If they run your credit card in the store. Which they always do. If you go around to the back and they refuse to load your furniture. Which they did to me. Then you cannot reverse the charge. The rules of credit card processors say, that if you signature is on the credit card slip, then you must have received the item, even if you didn’t.
In my case, the loading person signed his name to the pick up receipt left blank where the customer signs and it was considered proof of pick-​up.
Beware. Do not sign your credit card slip at Dania.

Skip HOM, Slumberland, IKEA, and Dock 86. Head right to Dania for the furniture you need for your new place.
I totally agree with Tim F’s comments. This store is great! I would describe it as an upscale IKEA. The furniture is unique and brings a different energy. Prices are a little higher than IKEA but so is the quality. Check out the site before you go:

The sales team is also very helpful and low pressure. They are patient and offer up a good deal of honesty, which is refreshing. They really wanted to help me figure out what I needed.

Now that I am an adult, it is nice to have real furniture. IKEA is affordable, but I find much of their furniture flimsy. Despite making «real» money, I do not want to spend it all on high end furniture such as Room & Board, though I have also purchased from them.
Dania is an excellent compromise. Sturdy furniture that doesn’t break the bank and fits my tastes. Will it fit your tastes? Who knows, the world is your oyster.

love the place. havent’ bought yet, but about to purchase a couch. high quality, pleasant and not in-​your-​face staff. Prices are out out of my range for leather sofas, but you can order most in microfiber, which is considerably less expensive.
