Cellars Wines & Spirits

Was curious and in the neighborhood so I stopped by last week and the management have seemed to adopt the business model that I talked about in my previous review. At least it seems they have to some degree, anyway. Older stock was deeply discounted and most everything else seems fresh.

This place is awesome.
1. They offer FREE Scotch seminars. With tons of information, tons of scotch. And tons of deals. There is an old man who brings homemade bread to the tastings. Its strange, homey, and I love it.
2. They have a great beer selection, with decent prices. Good international beers.
3. Liquor. Seriously, I have gotten some amazing deals here. I buy things on the off season. Apple Pie Liquor for $ 4? Ok.
4. Service. Friendly. Super friendly. Everyone there is so nice.

For me, I go there for the selection of beer, scotch and bourbon. I think their prices are much better than other stores and they consistently have sales on whiskey which keeps me coming back. Go check it out!

Very good craft beer selection both foreign and domestic. Prices are right on par with the surrounding area.

I have the time, now who’s got the beer?
When in the Roseville area, I go to Cellar. They have a pretty wide array of beer to pick from, more than most stores in this area. They have separate shelves for belgian beers, english beers, and domestic craft beers. Not sure? They have a section for mixing and matching a 6 pack out of individual bottles so you can find a brand you’ll like.
They also have what appears to be a decent selection of wine. I’m not a big wine guy, so you’ll have to see for yourself.
They also have a fairly decent selection of distilled spirits. Based on their bourbon offerings it looks quite promising.
They have regular seminars/​tasting events. They also sponsor monthly Wine Lunches at some of the local restaurants.
What beer did I get? Victory Hop Wallop. I’m hoppy I did.

This store is awesome. It’s very convenient for me, close to work and close to home. They have a great selection of beer and wine and usually have sales on their hard alcohols. I think I’ve even seen fliers for wine sampling or beer sampling days.
Staff can usually be pretty helpful if you ask, but the store is organized where you can usually find stuff on your own, except for the wine, there is a lot of wine to browse through there.

A solid Liquor store. They have a good selection of wine and I always walk out of there with something new and interesting. I really like all the reviews from Wine Spectator and other sources that they have next to the wines so you can see how they are rated and good pairings.
I have never been asked if I wanted help in here. I prefer that for the most part and am more of a do-​it-​yourself kind of gal. But if you are looking for customer service this probably isn’t the wine shop for you.

Great selection on beer and wine. This is probably one of the better liquor stores in the Roseville area to find some weird or high end beers.
When you are not really sure what you are looking for, but maybe have a vague idea or abstract description, their staff is usually really good at helping you pinpoint exactly what it is.
