I know that the staff can check you out and help you decide what products would be ideal for you but I never took them up on it. I would go in and go for what I know like don’t bother me.
Recently, I went in and I don’t know. I liked the woman at the store and she didn’t bother me like a lot of people do so I took her up on this hair product diagnosis. I sat down while she asked me questions about my skin and hair then she took a picture of my scalp. She showed me the picture of my scalp compared to a healthy scalp picture. I initially didn’t like looking at what my scalp looked like up close but I got over it and was so amused by it. She gave me a diagnosis of what i should use and demo’d a product for me and enjoyed the whole experience.
(I’m mostly enamored by the scalp picture.)
She took my number and asked if she could call to follow-​up. and she never did. wah wah wah.

Definitely coming back! I’m new to Aveda products and my first time in here I was pretty impressed with the customer service. The moisturizer I bought is amazing too.

This Aveda location is not my local store. I was passing through Roseville on my way to Reno. I had outstanding service at this location from Melissa, she was very accommodating. I truly loved this store and the wonderful service I received, the staff is very courteous and professional. If I am in this area again I will stop and purchase my Aveda products from this location! GREAT JOB!

A member of the management contacted me and apologized for my less than stellar experience and offered me some some complimentary goodies. I said I was okay on that front, but I did want to let other Unilocalers know that as of now they do try to follow up on things on a store level. I may give them another go in the future, we’ll see.

The service here is great. Every time I come in the employees are attentive and helpful.
I usually get the rosemary mint body wash here. I also get the sunblock because it is a non chemical based sunblock that doesn’t make my «sensitive» skin itchy and red like so many other brands. Last time I was here one of the girls recommended this great clay mask for my face that I use once a week. She even gave me the helpful hint of putting it on in the shower. Apparently the steam helps the product work better.
Also, if you sign up to be an Aveda Pure Privilege reward card member, you get points on all your purchases. Then over time you get free stuff with those points. Pretty cool.

Every time I walk into this place, I feel like I find my hair Zen.
I love the spicy, earthy smell (no, not that weird «you have been camping for a week with no running water» earthy). More like cinnamon or eucalyptus trees.
ANYWAY…
as much as I detest the crowds at the Galleria in Roseville, the Aveda store with all of its natural, holistic products is a nice change of scenery and pace.
The staff is always friendly, and offers you the tea they serve at their salons along with a makeover if you so desire. They are never pushy unlike a lot of places, and defintiely fit into the calming atmosphere of the store.
The last time I went in, the salesgirl was funny as she and I talked shop about our hair and how we both enjoyed the thickening shampoo Aveda makes.
I recommend if you’re in the area and are a fan of the Aveda products
