we went to rosendale to try another spot, but after going in there and seeing the«bar» atmosphere(which you can’t tell from pics online) we had to go somewhere else. We looked at the menu of this place and automatically said lets try. The staff is so warm and inviting. Being with 2 kids, we ordered one of the large pizzas. Wow, it was amazing and we all ended up eating it, not just the kids. You def. get your bang for your buck, at least for the pizzas. A large is around 18 $ and its huge, we even had some leftover to take home. Cant wait for the weather to get a little warmer and try sitting outside in their garden. Its their 2nd season, so go support! great place.

I have had the absolute pleasure of dining here twice so far. The owner came to our table the first time. Which I am not a fan of usually, yet his smile is so welcoming it felt right. One of the BEST hummus plates I have ever had the other is Café Orlin in Manhattan. fantastic caring service and delish food. The owner made a suggestion to add to our goat cheese pizza that made it delectable. I am excited for the next time I have the pleasure of dining here. I am looking forward to trying their grapeleaves

This place has become one of our favorite restaurants in the area. Their rustic pizzas are amazing! Serviced on brown paper bags and baked in a brick oven on their front lawn, they are packed with flavor and creative ingredients. Recently had the curry chick pea dish as well — delicious! Well worth a visit, and especially nice if you can sit outside in the warmer months. I don’t usually bother to say this, but their restroom is especially nice as well — just don’t turn on the shower in the middle of the room, I believe it actually works.

Garden House has a quirky outside dining area filled with a random mix of mismatched tables and chairs. The crowd is a mix of local hipsters and weekenders, probably from NYC. We had dinner on Labor Day weekend and the place was packed — only two servers and a full house of diners. Our waiter was friendly and knowledgable about the menu, but the service was incredibly slow. The highlight of our meal was the lentil soup, which had a nice kick, but was otherwise lacking in flavor. The accompanying white pita bread was hard and cold(not worth eating). My entrée — a caramelized onion and red pepper salad topped with pine-nuts and spicy chicken — was the most greasy salad I’ve encountered. It was bathing in oil, and that’s without dressing, which was on the side. My husband’s Turkish-style lamb kefka kabob arrived at room temp., with a heaping portion of bland rice, and oily vegetables. The highlight was his fresh Arabic salad. Overall, a disappointing experience.

Go for the pizza, which has the potential to make you weep. Yes, it’s that good. Other than that, I’d say that the meat dishes are slightly dry and overcooked, and the rice can be a bit hard. Lamb with rice? Um, this is a Middle Eastern staple dish… Should be the centerpiece of the menu selection, but I’d say… …Stick with the brick oven pizza, and one of several craft beers on the menu. The garden(outside seating) is awesome on a nice warm eve, but the inside is cozy and inviting, too.

I typically give a bonus star to places upstate just because the entire market/demo is different and they have a tougher time sustaining a business. Garden House isn’t handicapped by that. This place stands on its own. Perfect Rosendale vibe(is that a thing?) of mismatched, junky summer camp flatware, low-key and friendly staff and a great med/mid east menu that’s a break from the area’s «new American» or run of the mill pub food. The pizza is off the charts. Mind blowing crust from the outdoor wood burning oven. Will make it a regular place.

With an outdoor wood fired pizza oven, an amazing selection of pies(the fig and goat cheese is amazing), baked whole fish, and great Mediterranean selections, it was a pleasure dining here. The outdoor seating is really relaxed and the eclectic interior is surprising and interesting.

Delicious pizza, wonderful service, and a beautiful setting. Enjoyed the three cheese pizza with pesto and the veggie pizza, along with a bottle of Keegan’s Hurricane Kitty, on the patio. The outdoor wood oven adds a great ambiance in addition to the taste and the garden is lovely. Can’t wait to try some of the other entrees(and desserts!) on our next trip through!

Probably my new favorite restaurant in the immediate area. Service was extremely warm and everything we ate was delicious. Portions — specifically the pizzas(we had the fig) — are huge. You can easily split one of those and probably not need anything else. But you would be missing out. We also had delicious lamb kebabs and the platter of middle eastern spreads. Great spot and the garden is very charming.

Wife and I went there for dinner, and the menu was so compelling that I really over ordered(didn’t get a pizza… next time). Had lamb as main course, and everything was excellent. Good service! I can wait to go back. Too bad it a 100 miles from home!

Terrible service. Very disappointed. No silverware, no napkins, no water. I got up and asked for silverware and napkins and the waitress brought one set of utensils and one napkin for a table of 3. They never brought my entrée. We asked for the check and they had crossed my order off and never gave an explanation. Lovely setting and the other diner’s food looked very good – too bad I never got to taste any of it.

My mom and I really had a great meal here after going to the theater. The staff was attentive and the owner answered many of our questions about certain dishes. My mom got the Moroccon cod — beautiful fresh fish with just the right seasonings. I got the fig and date pizza with carmelized onions and goat cheese. Really excellent. I would highly reccomend this place! Two small things: They should let customers know up front they are cash only(even though there is a machine in the back) and the pickled beets on the table, well… an aquired taste i think.

Got take-out pizza from here the other night. They were delicious! We got 2 small pizzas, but they were really nice sized portions. We got a regular cheese pizza and the fig pizza. Cash only but they have an ATM in the back

Our community is so fortunate to finally have an amazing restaurant choice for dinner! I would give a 10 star rating if it was an option. I have been here at least 5 times and it is always delicious! The chef knows her stuff! The seasoning on all the entrees is superb! I love the kabobs, chicken or lamb. The portions are so generous. You leave completely satisfied. I finally sampled some desserts the other night, and wow! The brick oven pizzas are also, amazing. Fresh, interesting toppings. Perfect wine pairings and beer are also available. Service always accommodating, sweet, and with a smile. Can’t wait til Spring to be able to sit outside in their garden. Yum!
