Pyrex(Made by World Kitchen, Inc. Ruined my BFF’s dinner party! My best friend requested my from-scratch apple pie for his birthday. This was not a pre-made crust & a can of filling, this was a homemade crust, peeling, coring & slicing apples. I’ve been baking this pie recipe for 30 years. I decided to use my new Pryex pie plate instead of my usually stoneware. I placed the pie on a baking sheet to catch anything that might bubble over and placed it into a 375 oven for an hour. I removed the pie, on the baking sheet and placed it on the stove top to cool. There was not an extreme temperature shift because the pie was on the hot baking sheet. The pie plate exploded all over my stove, counter, and my lovely pie. All that work, ruined! I have now read hundreds of reviews similar to mine. How can they still be selling this inferior and dangerous product??? Why haven’t I seen a recall?

This review is for the company’s headquarters and staff — not for the company’s products. The new office(on Bryn Mawr) is gorgeous. Modern yet celebrates the company’s strong brands with creative flair — in the lobby, for example, the ceiling is highlighted by hanging Corelle plates! Bundt pans line one cafeteria wall — Staff are optimistic and talented. Senior leaders are actively working to make the work environment even more inspiring. I’m proud to be working with them.

As per the company’s web site( ): «World Kitchen, LLC and its affiliates manufacture and market bakeware, dinnerware, kitchen and household tools, rangetop cookware and cutlery products sold under well-known and trusted brands including CorningWare, Pyrex, Corelle, Revere, EKCO, Baker’s Secret, Magnalite, Chicago Cutlery, OLFA and OLO.» After a long haul exhausting work day my former love eased my mind and weary body with a home cook meal of lamb lion with Pyrex glass bakeware, it EXPLODED inside our oven! My former love set our oven at 450 degrees Fahrenheit which the glass bakeware caused a gargantuan explosion of glass and glass powder inside the oven making dinner utterly inedible, which became even unfit for dogs alike! Thus, the lamb lion at $ 25.00 along with Caesar salad were scratch for the night. Complete dismayal from a reputable brand name as Pyrex! Five photos attached to this review depicts physical damage to our Magtag oven range.
