Price right. Get alot of food at breakfast. Very good tasting. Service was exceptional.

This restaurant sells their certificates online even though they’re closed right now. I purchased a gift cert(restaurant dot com) and drove all the way there just to find out that they’re closed for renovations. I wasted 30 minutes in rush hour just driving there and back home. If you’re going to offer certificates to your restaurant, better make sure you’re open! This kinda ruined my evening. :-(

i believe there was only 2 other customers in here when my friend & i ate here this past fri nite. we were seated right away. i had a turkey blt sandwich which was pretty good. there was definitely a lot of meat on it. we both ordered a slice of carrot cake to go & i was disappointed when i finally ate it later that nite cuz it was kinda dry. nobody likes a dry piece of cake!

I’ve eaten here before. Came here a couple times before going to Allstate Arena. it’s always been just ok. I prefer Sunrise Grill. Food nothing spectacular and same with the service.

It’s not very accommodating sizes for the drinks very ridiculous for the price. Food was lukewarm but edible.

I was a regular for a few weeks, and they were great. Food was awesome, breakfast and dinner. If you stay at the Best Western you get free breakfast before 9AM which is cool. Service was top notch, and from everyone, not just one or two people! Try it!

The Pine Grove restaurant is a diner located in a Best Western hotel. It is open daily and offers a fair selection of breakfast items, sandwiches, salads, wraps, and limited entrées served in a plainly furnished dining room. Alcohol beverages are also available. I have lunched there many times and based on my standards for evaluating diners, I have always been pleased. On my most recent visit I had a triple-decker BLT that is one of my favorites there. It is not on the menu but is served on request. As usual, it was well prepared and all the ingredients were fresh and delicious. On that occasion I had coleslaw as a side that was average. The service was friendly and efficient, which is the norm. Prices are moderate and parking is free in their surrounding front/side lot.

I had been passing by this restaurant and decided to stop in. I ordered a corn beef sandwich and onion straw. I found the food to be very good. nothing fancy but pleasing.

food was a-okay. Would I go back? probably not. My niece ordered a 3.99 kid’s meal and went with the pancakes. All she got was one pancake. nothing else not even one egg or sausage. just A pancake. My salad was okay but it was 9.99 made with iceburg lettuce. for 9.99 you think they would serve romanine. For the $$ I’ll just go down the block to Chili’s to get better grub.

If it’s good enough for pilots, I’ll give it a try. The bananas foster waffle was delicious, as was their nutty hot coffee. Big portions, great price, friendly staff. It’s worth checking out.

I dined at this restaurant for the first time over the weekend. The restaurant was clean and the dining atmosphere was quiet but the food definitely left something to be desired. It tasted okay but I’ve had better and to top it off I was sick as a dog afterwards. I know it was the food I had there too because eating there was the only meal I had at all that day. I’m guessing that the chicken was either not fresh or under cooked.(I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap) The service was mediocre as well. One time I had to physically get up and retrieve ketchup myself.

I am not sure if I would go to this place again… For starters I felt the portions were a bit lacking. I ordered the sliders plate for an appetizer but only 3 were included, I am not sure if that is the norm for sliders but I thought it wasn’t a lot especially if you are sharing with a table. So for $ 7.99 I sort of expected more. My dinner was pretty good, the fish and chips that is. The batter was well done and the fish was light and flaky. I actually enjoyed the dinner but including prices, portions, and atmosphere I probably wouldn’t recommend this place. I suppose that is the price you pay(no pun intended) for being a hotel/airport diner. Try it for yourself but you won’t be wowed, more than likely you will be left indecisive about the experience.

A pretty junky diner style restaurant. Probably should appear on Restaurant Impossible. Low end food done poorly. Only reason it’s not a 1 star is because it serves a purpose for fast pre/post travel food.

Pleasantly surprised. Normally I’m not a fan of hotel restaurants but I walked over the the Pine Grove because i was hungry and because I had a coupon for 20% off. There were only about 3 other table seated but I didn’t expect much from a restaurant attached to the Best Western next to O’Hare. Ordered the French dip with fries. Super tasty and much nicer than I expected. Servers and bus people were very attentive. Not the most appealing looking place I’ve been into but I guarantee you could do a lot worse.

The only reason I gave 2 stars is because I really liked the soup other than that the food was terrible and the prices were incorrect on the menu. Our waitress was absolutely sweet but must have some form of amnesia because she forgot she was at work there were only 3 tables and the rest of the place was empty yet she forgot to bring us our drinks then finally got them after the soup. But at one point we were empty and she disappeared for a while then eventually came back asked if we wanted refills, of course we said yes but she never brought them. We got our check which was $ 35 waaaay too much for 2 sandwiches that were so slimy we didn’t finish! but here’s another reason I gave them higher than one star. They had options instead of fries, I got a fruit cup and my bf got coleslaw and we both really liked those and the option.

This place is the worst. Even if you are stuck and starving, do not stop and eat here. There is a reason the place is always empty. Because it is bad. My most recent order was a grilled cheese deluxe. A little bit of homey comfort food. How can that get screwed up? Pine Grove served pitch cold fries with bread that was not buttered or oiled with some pressed cheese in the middle. I think it was microwaved? Not sure. I will never go back.

Caught the circus last night with my parents. Yeah, shut up. It was fun. perused places near the Allstate(still the Rosemont Horizon to me), and came across this place and saw reviews. Enter skepticism. as we got closer to the arena, I suggested Chipotle, but my dad’s like, «oh, let’s just stop at this family place.» *facepalm* They’re not yet hip to Unilocal. The entire time we were there, only 3 other people came in to eat(6pm on a Thurs. night). Add a little more skepticism. Our server Syndy was super nice, but very quiet. Also, I noticed the other server was chatting up her table and making good suggestions so maybe it wasn’t so bad after all. We all got sandwiches so we could make the show on time. My dad ordered the reuben, and said it was the best he’s had in a loooong time. High praise from him, since he cooks for a living. He was even in love with the bread. Dad, it’s freaking RYEBREAD. My applewood chicken melt was delicious, equal parts greasy, cheesy, bacon-y and tasty, and the fries were perfectly done. It was actually broiled, so it had that nice char-grilled taste. Mom got the avocado wrap and could barely finish hers, it was a generous-sized sandwich. Three sandwiches, two pops and 2 beers(Dad’s always gotta have at least one) all for about $ 38. Not too shabby. I hope this place catches on, because it seems like it had a prior bad wrap. The new management looks like they’re on their way.

Ok, my past comments no longer apply. I decided to stop here one day after work, and was totally surprised. This place is now great.
