Very impressed with this place! The food here is extremely creative, full of flavor, and the culinary team puts a huge emphasis on food presentation. The WOWFACTOR for me was the beverage program. These guys have an awesome Manhattan that’s served in a individual size bottle. They also have a great selection of locally made liquor and craft beer. The managers, bartenders, and servers all seem like they love being there and it shows. We had a blast!

Yummy burratta salad! Nice mix of crunch from the croutons and arugula, creaminess from the burratta, and saltiness from the prosciutto. There are complimentary rolls which was good for sopping up the rest of the balsamic. My mom enjoyed her pumpkin soup. We also ordered the homemade adobo chips were warm and had a great mild spice to them. We sat in the bar area which has TVs to watch the game. I really wanted to try the Jack Daniels flight which consists of Old No 7, Gentlemans Jack, Single Barrel, and Frank Sinatra but it was a Sunday evening and my girlfriend said no… I gotta come back for this cuz it was only $ 20 to try all of them! The mixed cocktails seem over priced though. If I’m gonna spend $ 15 for 1 cocktail it better be the best one I’ve ever had.

Decent food for a hotel restaurant. Nice variety on the menu, standard American fare with a bit of gastropub influence. I really enjoyed the wine list along with the goat cheese appetizer. Entrees weren’t bad, generous on the portions. My ribeye was a bit overcooked and the mashed potatoes were pretty cold… But I like the broccolini! Service could’ve been better, but there was only one server in the bar area and it was pretty popping. Again for a hotel restaurant next door to ohare expectations were not held high.

The food is okay. Nothing special, but net terrible for a hotel restaurant. The service is really slow and you might be ignored completely.

This was the restaurant in my hotel. Really a disappointment. Ordered the tortilla soup, while the flavor was very good– the texture was very odd. I can’t figure out quite what it was– just odd to the point that it was hard to eat. Also ordered the beet salad with steak. Again– just not good. The beets were raw and shaved and seemed dried out. It was served with what they described as «almond bacon brittle” — didn’t go at all. And the steak was really, really fatty. Really a bummer.

Whether it’s the server who doesn’t serve; the bland food or the egg shells being used as seasoning, if this sounds like the type of experience you like, this is your place! So… Hmmm… where to begin… on this day of my trip, I was not in a big hurry but had this been the typical«I’m traveling for business breakfast» I’m not sure waiting 30 minutes for eggs over easy would’ve been acceptable. The sad part, the speed;(or rather lack there of) in which my breakfast arrived is actually the highlight of this experience… This is the abridged version of my review… want more dish(of course if you’re eating here right now you have lots of time to read), check out the more thorough version below… — — — — — — - Beginning of day two of my adventure in Chicago I was once again presented with absolutely horrific service… This time, at a Hilton-property(see my review of the Crown Plaza for day 1) The server literally took 15 minutes just to take my order… mind you, there were only four other tables, of which three of them were eating from the buffet; each with only 2 people per table. Of course you know I already know how long it took for the meal to arrive once I did actually get the order so I’ll spare rehashing that. Following its arrival I took a bite and determined it was rather bland. I went looking for salt-and-pepper and found that there was only one set on the community 12-person bar/table I was at which had three people at the other end of… and yes, we also had to share the sugar and cream across this 15′ long table. At any rate; moving on; the meal was so bland it really needed some hot sauce so I patiently waited for the server to arrive back for his follow up to confirm everything was fine so I could request some. Needless to say I decided after waiting 10 minutes patiently; as the server randomly walked from table to table refilling coffee(including for one of the people at the other end of my table), he obviously was not going to come check on me… So I reluctantly ate it. Finally, 10 minutes after he had taken my plate, as I’m typing this review at his table, he asked how the meal was… LOL!!! Are you kidding me? 10 minutes after picking up my plate you ask how my meal was. Needless to say, if there was a way to score below 1 star, I would, this place is a joke!

Two important factors led to me dining here. This restaurant is inside the Hilton/Rosemont near O’Hare. I’m staying at the afore mentioned Hilton and it is January. The hight today was –2. I was not going out to eat! I had my doubts when I read the reviews fro other Unilocalers. I was pleasantly surprised. The service was average but the food was very good. I ate the steak sandwich with sweet potato fries and a apple tart for dessert. Were the prices exorbitant? Of course, any major restaurant chain near an airport is comparable. Overall, the service was slow but the other factors were all outstanding. Four stars!

As a rule, hotels don’t seem to excel when they try to extort their patrons with the convenience of their bar and restaurant. Liberty Tavern is no exception, with extraordinarily mediocre service(they only hire women who retired from their careers as guards Soviet Union’s Prison System), absurd prices, and poor quality food. Order Vodka, neat, and drink it near the fantastic fire-place. When it is eventually delivered order ANOTHER. Repeat, and don’t try drawing outside these lines and you’ll be OK.

Ate two meals here as I’m here on business. Lunch was the pulled pork sandwich, which was quite good. Service was somewhat slow overall as we descended upon the restaurant in a large group. Not the worst but not the best. Also had dinner: French onion soup and the tavern burger. Both were just okay. Nothing to really write home about.

Well not impressed so far. Waited at the concierge counter for 12 minutes before the hostess even saw us. I actually had to call standing in front of it to get them to come over. And it was the second person that actually talked to us. I complained about the wait. Got the standard I’m sorry. They sat us 5 minutes later. Then we waited ten minutes for the waitress. We got water and ordered. We ordered macncheese and a burger. Been 20 minutes since or order and haven’t seen the waitress. Very disappointed so far. People seated after us got served. Waitress finally came over in passing told us just a few more minutes. It’s now 45 minutes since we ordered. Screwed up order. Asked for no hollandaise sauce got it all over it. Fork dirty also. Time from order to food on table 52 minutes. Mac n cheese was ok. Burger was decent. Broccoli was cold. Waitress asked how things where so I told her and her complaint was she was busy. I asked her how doing so I told her. Only plus was I complained to manager and got meal comped

i’ve been dinning here for 3 – 4 nights a year for the past 5 years or so because of work. the food is slightly over priced but that’s expected out of a hotel restaurant. the service is good but it always takes a while for the food to be ready. i thought the food here is always consistently above average. maybe it’s because i’m always starving by the time i get here for dinner due to long work days, but i’m always satisfied with the food. some of the main entrees are on the smaller side.

Not a big fan of this place. I’ve been here a number of times and each trip was memorable for the wrong reasons. Service is definitely slow. It gets to the point where you legit wonder where the hell your server has gone. If you just want a place to sit at and chill, then the inattentiveness might not bother you. Food would probably be fine if it came out of the kitchen fresh. I had the fish tacos once and it had clearly been sitting under a heat lamp for quite a while. Due to sitting out like that, the dryness affected the texture and appearance of the fish, tortilla, and beans significantly. Being a hotel restaurant, prices on the menu are slightly higher than a comparable establishment elsewhere. Even if you’re staying right there in the Hilton, take the time and make a trip to any of the other nearby places.

I’ll keep it short — the service was great, but the food wasn’t. This is one of the worst hotel restaurants I’ve ever eaten at. The food is tired and uninspiring and doesn’t taste fresh. The only saving grace for this place is the breakfast bar, but at nearly $ 20 per person it’s quite expensive. Save yourself the trouble and walk or cab to other nearby restaurants.

Where do I start with this one? Most of us were told that they do not validate parking so we had to park in the conference center garage(about 10 minute walk away). It turns out they do validate parking. We set a reservation for 7 people on open table. When the first half of the party showed up, they were told that there was no reservation made(I have the confirmation emails). After a few minutes of confusion, they finally found our reservation. Now, I show up about 5 minutes later and mention that we had a reservation for 7 people. They told me that there were no reservations for a group of 7 and said they would just seat me anyways. I see the group sitting inside the restaurant as I’m being walked in and the host says«Oh, you’re with them?» First of all, the host said there was no reservation for a group of 7 when they clearly sat a group that was there minutes before. Second, there wasn’t any one else in the restaurant. how can you lose track of the only reservation in there? The service was terrible. After our initial order of drinks, we were never asked if we wanted anything else. We didn’t have our food orders taken for over 20 minutes after the last person in our party arrived. I had to flag down a bus boy to chase down our waitress for us. My friend ordered 2 appetizers as her meal and they showed up 20 minutes before everyone else’s food. Did they think she was going to order appetizers for everyone and then skip dinner? The food also took forever to come out I ordered the roasted chicken — which might have been pretty good if it was fresh. But, it had clearly been sitting for a while waiting for the other dishes to be finished. It was overcooked, dry, and cold. The gravy was congealed — another hint that it had been sitting for a while. The rest of the group said their food was okay so take that for what it’s worth. After our food was served, we never saw our waitress again until it was time to give us the bill. The one saving grace is that the bus boys were on top of filling up our water. To complete the entire experience, my friend was rudely asked«Where are you going?» when she was going to the bathroom. TL;DR: Avoid this place

So I’m in chicago for work staying out by the airport when I realize it’s Bastille day. If you know me, you know I love celebrating every holiday I can get my hands on. After a quick search on the internet I’m excited to see this hotel restaurant is in my neighborhood and has a croque-madame on the lunch menu. If you don’t know a croque-madame is a croque-monsieur with a fried egg on top. A croque-monsieur is an incredible French take on a a grilled ham & cheese and is one of my top 5 favorite sandwiches. The Liberty Tavern is in the Hilton hotel, and is typical upscale bland hotel restaurant. The service was good. I got there around 4:30pm and they where still using the lunch menu. That’s a good thing. It actually seemed to have more on it(including the croque-madame that brought me here). The croque-madame was excellent. The fried egg was only on half of the sandwich. I like this because it’s the best of the croque-monsieur and croque-madame in one! The sandwich was piled high with ham and didn’t have too much melted cheese(well that’s impossible). The sandwich came with a bland salad. The salad was just high end lettuce with a little oil. The bill was high, but it’s a Hilton restaurant. What do you expect? Overall, not a bad place, but also pretty unremarkable. I would skip this place unless you’re staying at the Hilton or you urgently need a croque-madame close to the airport. If that’s you the Liberty Tavern is your place.

BESTBREAKFASTBUFFET I’VEHADINSOMETIME!!! The mini waffles are teriffic, the service is good and selection is good too. As you may expect, the bacon is a bit rubbery as it is still a buffet, the eggs are so so, but the made to order omelets and waffles make it great. Fairly reasonable for $ 18, and the service is very good for a buffet. My fiancée HATES buffets, but even she liked it!!!
