The lady yelled at me because she said I was in the way/not ordering and she’s been staring at me to order… which was funny because I was staring at her waiting to order. Ordered the bun bo hue and fried chicken leg/rice. She gave me a spoon with the chicken and I asked if they had a plastic knife and fork. She tells me «this is a fast food place NOT a restaurant». Sooooooo we finally sit down with our food annnnd the bun no hue was terrible. Tasted like noodles in water and my dad said the meat was chewy and cold. Chicken wasn’t that bad BUT definitely neverrrrr going back. Rude lady and bad food? No thanks

This only goes for the sugar cane juice but if the entire building had to be known for just one thing… it would be this drink. 10⁄10 in greatness!

It’s one of those food court fast food. Came here for a fast bite and ordered a hai nan chicken. My order came after 30 min, and I caught them microwave the chicken. Who the heck microwave hai nan chicken?! More importantly, get caught by customer !!! Well my bad experience didn’t stop there. My hai nam chicken came with five pieces cut from a small size chicken wing. I call that small chicken wing rice. Definitely not hai nan chicken!!! Not to mentioned the rice was just regular steam rice. The young lady with glasses was the cashier and her Customer service sucks. Keep in mind I was in a small mom and pop fast food restaurant. My standard was set very very low already, and she still managed to disappoint me. That’s definitely a record. Guys, please do not waste your money here. Go somewhere else. You will thank me.

Cheap food located inside the food court area inside the Supermarket. This is probably as cheap as you can find for a filling meal. I wouldn’t say food is top quality, but you get what you paid for. It’s one of those scooping ones where the food is already pre-made.

This place is located in the food court of a Chinese supermarket. My GF and I stopped by after being disappointed by Dr. Jolly Sugarcane Juice(they were closed when they should have been open). If it’s fresh squeezed sugarcane juice that you’re looking for, then this is the spot. The juice is tasty and they add a splash of kumquat juice to the mix. Definitely recommend it.

I came here for the sugar cane juice. Good but I think you get more at Quang An Duong Chinese Herb Store just down the street.

Went there to get yearned for sugar cane juice. It was my first time there and so i went ahead and ordered a large no ice cup since I’ve been craving it for years. they asked me if i wanted to add a foreign fruit, but I kindly refused as I just wanted pure sugar cane juice. So, I patiently waited as i was too too excited and could hardly wait till i take a sip of that heavenly liquid. anyway, I paid and was on my way out, took a sip and to my surprise I believe they did add that foreign fruit although I had kindly told them no. it didn’t taste as the sugar cane I know, it tasted lemony. it didn’t taste all that bad, but it just wasn’t what I was ambitiously expecting. I still appreciate the effort they made into my large cup, and aside from that, they are sweet kind people

I love the PURE sugarcane juice from here. When I first noticed it I thought they were making pasta from afar but they were putting the fresh sugarcane through a masticator. My friend pays $ 8 for sugarcane juice at the farmers market and was in shock when I told her it’s $ 3 here for a medium with ice and just recently I got a small without ice for $ 2! My kids also love egg rolls and they sell them for $.50 a piece. I usually get about $ 5 -$ 7 worth. They sell a lot of home cooking type of food that I recognize from my nail lady’s lunches. I saw an elderly man buy a serving of bitter melon stuffed with ground pork for $ 2 and asked for a side of rice. It made me sad because I thought he might of been a widow or on a small budget. I just discovered that they sell the slow drip French Roast coffee($ 2) and homemade mochi filled with black sesame seeds, coconut, and crushed peanuts($ 2). I look forward to getting some for my family and friends who likes this kind of stuff. The ladies who work here are very nice and pretty, too: p

Majority of vendor in this food court can fill you up for $ 5 or less. This one probably gets you best value in term of portion size. Quality is not bad but do not expect high quality for this place. I tried the Hainan Chicken, which is average but is cheap compare to what going to cost you in the restaurant. They also serve phở, and other Vietnamese noodle dish. This is mix of Cantonese and Vietnamese cuisines. A bit unusual but is a nice addition.

Located inside the super market food court. Their bon ru ISTHEBEST! The soup is flavorful, but not filled with fish sauce and msg where you feel thirsty after. Their Vietnamese ice coffee is also great, sweet yet strong! The ice fills up about half a cup. So depends on your preference, I like it not as strong so I sip a little by a little and wait till ice melts and mix it up. It’s delicious either way~ You definitely get your money’s worth! I see fresh sugar cane juice and everybody rating about it, need to try that next time!

Review is for the sugar cane juice. $ 4 for a super large sugar cane juice w/ice. $ 5 for no ice. I usually take it home and serve it with ice :) Note: ice fills up about half of the cup. Your order is pressed right in front of you, and you can add a kumquat to give it a kick. Love, love, love sugar cane juice, so I love, love, love this place!

$ 5 super large sugar cane juice! The food is authentic Vietnamese food that costs about $ 5 for a meal. It’s a good place for getting quick and authentic food, if you don’t mind eating food court style. On weekends parking lot does get crowded, but there is always someone departing.

Nuoc Mia Vien Dong is the place to go for nuoc mía(sugarcane juice) in the San Gabriel Valley. This food court stall inside the Square Supermarket shopping center is operated by Vietnamese-Chinese who speak Vietnamese, Cantonese, and English. Although the shop serves Vietnamese staples such as phở, bún riêu, and com tam, they are fast-food versions compared to those prepared at sit-down Vietnamese restaurants. The phở broth contained MSG, the bún riêu lacked crab meat/tofu and the tomatoes are too soggy, and since 2011 the com tam no longer includes a piece of cha trung hap(steamed Vietnamese egg meatloaf). The real reason to stop by Nuoc Mia Vien Dong is for their specialty, the nuoc mía. Sugarcanes are fresh pressed on-site and the extracted juice is mixed with kumquat to balance the sweetness. The kumquat adds a tart taste to the juice. There are three sizes for the nuoc mia and an option to add ice or not. I usually order the small size with ice(~10oz). This only lasts about 10 to 15 sips since the cup is half full of ice, but it is a refreshing beverage for summer afternoons and is a healthier alternative to milk tea/Vietnamese coffee also available in the same plaza. Fun fact: Sugarcane is rich in calcium, potassium, antioxidants, and helps lower cholesterol(triglycerides). A glass of fresh sugarcane juice has on average 11 to 13% total sugar content, much lower than soft drinks and orange juice.

This review is purely for the sugarcane juice! For the same price as other places, this place makes it fresh right in front of you! There are other areas that do the same but more in Little Saigon than SGV. Btw tell them to add kumquat — gives the taste a zing! You can ask for no ice(they’ll charge you more) but its so delicious you’ll drink it way faster than the ice melts and end up with just a cup full of ice! Must say, a lot of people were getting food and when i snagged a look at the chicken phở as well as the hainam chicken, i was interested! it looks like their chicken is the fresh organic chicken rather than your typical supermarket chicken(trust me, there is definitely a difference) so ill try some next time i swing by

There weren’t very many food court spots that were still open when I went(6:30pm Wednesday) but Vien Dong was one of the stalls that actually had people ordering items from them so I went with them. I ordered the Bun Bo Hue for $ 5.00 and it was pretty decent. It wasn’t as tasty as some places down in Westminster, but it hit the spot. There were enough ingredients(meat, noodles, flavor) in the meal that it was worth $ 5. I will return again when I need a quick and cheap dinner fix.
