Don’t eat here. Food is terrible. Workers don’t wear gloves, food is old, and even when the hot food is hot, it is poor cheap quality. I just got home and took Pepto. I hope my stomach recovers…

Self reminder: make sure to look around the place before eating there. This place is so dirty. I just saw them serve something that fell off the plate and put it back onto the tray. Flies landing on food. Self serve roast beef. Sushi was gross. I feel like regurgitating… We ended up all ordering sodas to make us feel better. Don’t come here… I want my money back.

Average Asian buffet. One of the cheaper ones around. Has good tong Shiu which other places don’t have. Some of the more expensive fruits like blueberries, kiwis, strawberries etc Food is relatively good for a buffet. Bathrooms used to be cleaner when the places was new. Long lines due to the cheaper prices Good place if you want an average buffet with lots of variety. Pretty popular among locals.

I have been to this place many times. I enjoy their sushi as I usually get one full plate because there is a variety. Most Asian dishes are good for a buffet place. The dessert are good. I like getting flan here. The price is reasonable for lunch. There is plenty of parking. But the place is very busy during lunch time.

We came here to celebrate my sister-in-law, her husband’s & my father-in-laws’s birthday. As you go in it has an inviting ambiance but it’s not clean as I expected probably because of the numerous customers they get each day. But otherwise foods are great specially their variety of sushi. Some of my relatives complain about their mussels that was not cleaned well, beef is over cooked, & mushrooms is kinda tough but other than that it was pleasant. I suggest if you want to see clean & inviting place maybe as a customer we should practice being clean too! Don’t just throw papers, pick up after yourselves!

If you come to this buffet on the weekend, come early or you’ll wait over an hour. As mentioned in other reviews, there is a lot more variety than other buffets. I enjoy coming to this buffet solely for the king crab legs(sometimes they’re fresh, sometimes they’re not). Attached is a picture of the human hair embedded in sushi, which is prepared in front of you. Can you imagine what goes when you’re not looking? Again, it is an Asian buffet so nothing too out of the ordinary.

Came here for 2016 Mother’s Day Lunch. Prices for today per person $ 18.99. They take no reservations, and everyone must be present before they seat you. Which is awesome since there were families with groups of 15 – 20 people that they made wait until all of them were present. If you’re a group of 10 people of less, you’ll get faster seating and priority. The food here — wasn’t that great. When it was first setup in the beginning, it looked impressive, but once I got down to eating, ugh! Delicacy of the Day: Sea cucumbers. My family digged it — I passed. Sushi section: It was alright, but the rolls were packed with way too much rice. Even when dipped with soy sauce and wasabi mixture, the sushi still tasted bland to me. One plate was enough. As for the Sashimi — it was gross! The tuna and salmon — didn’t look fresh and had a weird slimey after taste to it. Otherwise, I would’ve filled up on the sashimi instead. The only thing I liked from the Sushi section was the seaweed and edaname. Mongolian BBQ Section was too packed. Then again, never really was a fan of it anyways. Didn’t miss much. The Cooked Section: I did liked the sauteed button mushrooms; orange chicken; French fries and chicken nuggets with the sweet and sour dipping sauce. The eggrolls sucked — it was all mainly cabbage in there. The peppered beef was alright, kinda chewy though. Roast Beef Station: They did have a giant piece of self served roast beef: I liked it — the meat was tender and juicy, but dang, it was salty! The fruits and desserts station: The fruits were fresh and sweet. My family loved the cherries. I digged the banana pudding/nilla wafer dessert and bananas poured over red icing by the fruits section. The fruit and macaroni salad looked hella weird and very unappealing. Their dessert cakes: after visiting the Chocolate Festival on Saturday in Encinitas, San Diego, it kicked the desserts’ asses here, lol! However, I did like their taro and strawberry flavored yogurts, and mango flavored tapioca. The Tiramisu cake slice was pretty good too. Didn’t eat much dessert — nothing else looked appealing, especially after visiting the Chocolate Festival. Service: They were attentive and quick today! Any plates finished was scooped up quickly, and will ask you if you’re done before taking it(otherwise, I would’ve stuck a fork in between them, lol!). They want you to enjoy the food, but also get the hell out out ASAP to make room for the other waiting, hungry patrons, lol! All in all, it was a nice place to try. However, after eating at other buffet places(Kirin, Kuma, Hilton, various Las Vegas ones etc), this one is wayyyy below league. Would I come back, definitely no.

I came here for dinner on last sunday. Honestly, the restaurant looks nice, but the food is not quality as their look. I picked this place and decided to pay $ 17 for dinner because I was craving for the king crab leg. However, their crab weren’t fresh. It was stinky and old. It seem like they didnt even watch it because I can see some sticky green stuff over the crab legs. Also, Sushi is not fresh too. Fried Salmon skin is too chewy. Service is not good too. The servers didnt even talk to us. Sorry I wont be back.

4 stars for variety, service, cleanliness, and good for large groups and babies. 3.5 stars for quality of foods though the older generation liked the quality too but I guess they were not as selective. Popular entrees among our large group: Mongolian BBQ Sushi and sashimi. some were good and others were just decent Mussels Vegetable dishes Soups Dim sum Cooked fish Crab legs.decent. Dessert was inconsistent and bland. Mango pudding and crème brûlée were good.

Decent food for the price. Not a huge fan of buffets tho unless it’s Vegas. Mongolian bbq, shrimps, crabs, hot & cold dishes, soups, fried food, sushi, etc. Basically the typical Asian buffet. They have a good variety of food selection. Must get their ice cream for dessert. On weekends the parking lot gets crazy packed and it’s hard to find parking so best to go at awkward times. The servers aren’t friendly and on the monotone and no expression side which makes things uncomfortable but whatever’s, I’m eating… Just take my dirty plates away.

I honestly do not get why this place is so busy… I’m a big fan of restaurants being clean, and this place definitely did not give me that vibe. Especially the bathrooms were really dirty. I came here for my grandpa’s birthday with a fairly large group. We didn’t even all sit together because they were so busy. They had a pretty large assortments of sushi and seafood(crab legs) and a Mongolian bbq station and the rest of the food were random Chinese foods, salads, soups, and desserts. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I would DEFINITELY not go back here, even if you paid for my meal. Maybe people come here because its only $ 15 a person, but EXCUSEME… if you are a buffet, you should be able to get as much of whatever as you’d like. People go to buffets to eat till their stomachs explode of things that they enjoy. This was definitely NOT the case. None of the foods were really appealing to me, except for the sushi. I had a lot of the raw tuna slices and when I saw that they came out with Salmon Roe(one of my fav foods) I got excited and grabbed a plate. While I was putting a lot on my plate, the lady behind the counter was getting upset that I was taking so many. After I finished, I went back for more of course. BECAUSEITS A BUFFET I CANGETWHATEVER I WANT. When the lady behind the counter making the sushi said in Chinese to her co-worker, «Look she’s back for more.» and tried to talk to me in Chinese telling me not to take anymore. HOWRUDE. Of course I pretended not to know Chinese and continued to get my food. I would not recommend you coming here. Why wait so long in line for somewhere that has horrible customer service(the waiters and waitresses too are rude) and isn’t clean, and where the food is just whatever? Pay a little more and go somewhere better. Just thinking about my experience here makes me so upset.

We came here for a weekday lunch. This place was so packed. Parking took a while because the parking lot was totally full and we had to circle around and park on the street. For a group of six, it took us 15 mins to get seated. They were pretty efficient with seating arrangement so no complain at all. 10.59 $ for a weekday lunch, which I believe is the cheapest you can get for this type of Asian buffet. And the quality is actually not bad. They provide large variety of food, hot and cold Chinese/Asian dishes, rolls, crabs, sushi, crawfish, soups, salads, etc. I tried almost all types of rolls. They tasted pretty much the standard Americanized Japanese rolls. Service was attentive, i. e, we asked for water so water came right away, and they constantly cleaned up our table. I mean this is pretty standard but for a place like this, we expected slow service and they were beyond our expectation. My only complain was on the dessert part. The desserts they have are overly sweet to me and a lit bit lack of selection. But again, most people don’t care about dessert when eating at buffets, so I guess it’s not a big issue. Oh by the way,. the steamed taro bun(dim sum section) at the very end was the highlight. It was very soft and flavorful. And they also had this little star cookie is actually a pineapple pastry. Very cute. Overall, this place is worth a try for the price. food is not like amazing but above average.

You’ll find your typical Asian buffet food choices here. You have your fried rice, lo mein, crab legs, sushi, Mongolian bbq noodles, and dessert that’s always questionable. Kami Buffet is better than what you’ll find in the area, for now. If I had to choose between going to Gold Habachi Buffet in Alhambra or Kami Buffet, I’d rather come here. There’s slightly more choices, the restaurant is slightly cleaner, and the restaurant is twice as big. If you come during prime lunch or dinner hours, prepare to wait. Thankfully, the parking lot is big so parking shouldn’t be a problem. Price wise, it’s decent for all you can eat. And they have a full bar with decently priced beer at about $ 4 a pop.

Wait can be long if you go on a busy night. Food is just okay. Nothing that really stands out. My parents like to go to buffets and I don’t know why. My dad says there are a lot of options here compared to other chinese buffets. If you want to get your money’s worth, load up on the raw fish and crab legs. I like the made-to-order noodles. It’s the only thing that really tastes good to me. Prices: Lunch(Mon-Fri) 11am-3:30pm: $ 9.59 Dinner(Mon-Thur) 3:30−9pm: $ 13.99 Friday Dinner 3:30−10pm: $ 15.99 Sat & Sun(11am-10pm): $ 15.99 Holidays are also $ 15.99 I believe

I’m full, happy, and impressed with the options I had. When you come to a place like this… Have a game plan! Me? I came in hungry and grabbed everything I saw because it looked good. I’d recommend that you have more restraint than me and stake out your options. No way you can fit it all. Value was great. Sushi quality was high. Salmon tasted fresh. I liked the variety of rolls. The Mongolian bbq is not to miss. Delicious. Love that you can pick your own fresh ingredients — beef, chicken, lamb, shrimp., and mix ins. They have huge slabs of juicy roast beef that you cut yourself. Tons of crab legs, peeled shrimp and cocktail sauce… I even saw Cajun crawfish. The dessert bar left me spinning. Chocolate fondue marshmallows! I did not get to the salad bar or the cocktail bar. I did have a nice booth with a little view. All in all., excellent and fast service… Johnny on the spot took plates and refilled sodas. Clean establishment., A rating. I’d come here again.

I’ve been here only once and I can say I don’t think I ever want to come back here. This place is a buffet style restaurant that is located in San Gabriel valley right off the 60 freeway. It use to be Charlie’s I believe until that closed down. They charge $ 10.00 on the weekday which is pretty reasonable and quite cheap. But the flies swarming on the salad bar made me freak out to the point that I didn’t get salad. I got other things such as sushi but to me it wasn’t fresh at all abs has a bit of a weird taste that wasn’t really good. It’s big with lots of variety and choices but to me all the food wasn’t good. This place was packed though with a lot of people so maybe they are doing something right and I just didn’t see it. Who knows. I’m just not a fan of this place and I think you can get better food from somewhere else for $ 10.00!

This buffet was really good, especially for the prices they charge. There is a wide variety of sushi, Chinese dishes(noodles, orange chicken, Beijing beef, Mongolian barbecue, green beans, and much more). The most popular item here is the crab legs, everyone always rushes toward them when they bring out a new batch. I was surprised by the food quality, especially from their seafood section(crabs, sushi, and crawfish). The crawfish and crabs are a good size and taste amazing. The fish in the sushi is also really good as well. Recommend trying this buffet if you are looking for wide variety of Asian food at an affordable price.

First time trying this place out and it gets crazy packed for dinner! The problem with a place like that with a lot of people, it also gets dirty really fast! There was hair in the pineapple fruit bowl. I guess if you are crazy about crab legs, this might be the buffet for you(too bad I’m not). I decided I would try out the stir fry section where they make your food selections fresh on the grill for you. I would have liked for the cook to cook my meat a little longer, but it was still edible. The desserts were terrible and people were grabbing things with their hands because of the lack of serving spoons available for the customers. For $ 15.99 a person, you’ll leave with a stomach full but not the greatest quality food.

So I wrote down«BETTERTHANKOME» buffet when I checked in, but that was my eyes looking before my stomach digested it. Located in the old Charley Brown Steakhouse at SRCA60 and San Gabriel Blvd, Kami Buffet has $ 9.59 + tx adult lunch buffets. Wait what? You heard that right. $ 9.59. That’s an incredible price, looking at the food they have. Let’s see what they do have! When you first walk in you get to see the fruit section, the«must be refrigerated» section– they have fruit, some shellfish if I recall, macaroni salad. To the right, you get a cold noodles/ingredients section, and it reminds you of Genghis Khan. You get to choose what YOU want and there is a person that adds it all in and makes it for you. It takes an insane amount of time though, because of the amount of time that the person needs to make the food, and the amount of people lined up. It was alright, but didn’t have the«wok flavor» that Genghis Khan had. You can taste it: P Then you have roast beef. One big random piece of roast beef. Kinda dry and needed some sauce. Next section is the Chinese food section. Orange chicken, brocolli beef, clams, stuffed crab. The food? It was alright. The food was similar to Panda Express. Yes they have lo mein and fried rice too. So at that level. Then they have the American food section. Fried nuggets, fries. I found this REALLY weird to have here, but I guess, kids gotta eat don’t they? :P And then the dim sum section. Kinda futile, ugly, not appetizing. They have like 4 types of dim sum… lol. And the sushi/dessert section in the middle. Their sashimi is better than Kome’s, more fresh. Had salmon and tuna. They have rolls too, and had the salmon lovers roll. I downed those really quickly: P Dessert– Crème Brulee was burned on top. Chocolate cake was too dry. Their taro pudding was good though. Mango pudding was a bit. missing milk. They have a chocolate lava fountain where you can make dipped cones, marshmallows, and chocolate strawberries. Cones? Good. But only 3 flavors. Strawberries? Not as good… Oh well. I think I’m done. They sell thai tea for $ 1.59 or some price close to that: p
