Perfect spot to grab a cup of java! They are always busy but the wait isn’t bad. They have pastries, t-shirts and bottled drinks. They even have treats for kids. Nice place to check in online with free wifi or sit on the porch to read. We came here a couple times during our trip to Rosemary.

Took 15 minutes to get an iced coffee because of the bar orders. Need more staff to knock out the quick coffee orders.

I visited Ama Vida(!?) this morning and was met with a glare that I haven’t seen since my father passed away. The gentleman that took my order couldn’t have been more jaded. Although I understand the pain of working a job you may not be completely passionate about in a town where every face is a ghost, I expect common courtesy and at least a split second of eye contact. I ordered a «4 berry» smoothie that was lackluster at best. Not much good came from this visit to Ama Vida, but at least the barista treated every customer terribly. Maybe someday this barista will truly find himself, possibly in another town where he can make himself a four berry smoothie from the fruits of his own labor. Kel

Really loved my time at this coffee shop today! Ordered an iced chai latte and peanut butter cookie, both made the perfect accompaniment to an afternoon of getting some work done. The peanut butter cookie was extremely fresh, moist, and flavorful. The staff was friendly and the place was kept very clean. What more could you ask for in a coffee shop that is within walking distance to your vacation spot for the week?! Will definitely be back!

We rented a beach house for a week and I brought a bag and a half of coffee thinking that would be enough. It turns out I drink a lot of coffee on vacation. So we had to stop somewhere to get more beans. We also wanted to have decaf for the evening without keeping us awake(I am intermittently sensitive to caffeine at night! LOL!). They had several choices of beams that all smelled amazing. I, in particular, and fond of Ethiopian beans. So I picked an Ethiopian bag for the morning and a Peruvian bag of decaf for the evening. The staff was super nice and even gave us a sample of the decaf to make sure we would like it. I also stopped back in an hour or so later to use the restroom and they were super polite. Great coffee shop with good selection and some extra goodies(magazines, 30A tees, etc.)!

This coffee shop has a good vibe but I was not impressed with the roast. Unfortunately I don’t remember what kind we got, and they do have multiple offerings, but as many have said before the coffee was very acidic, fruity & flowery, and just didn’t do it for me. It almost tasted like robusta coffee as opposed to arabica. Definitely willing to give it another shot but my first impression was just A-OK.

This place was popping on a Thursday in October! That being said the line was out the door so I can see why the baristas where working quick and where not too talkative. The coffee wasn’t the best. It was VERY acidic and really light for a medium roast. I didn’t finish it. The biscuit with egg was pretty tasty. It made up for the joe. From what I gather this is the only place around the area for breakfast/coffee. That’s why they are so busy. It’s not a place to sit and use the Wifi and have coffee talk with a friend. It’s a run in and run out place.

The first time I had Amavida’s espresso was when my husband and I stopped for dinner at Fatty’s Sandwich Shop in Panama City Beach, and I ordered an iced latte to go with my Albuquerque Turkey. Sitting outside, I took a sip and was more than surprised at how really great it was(of course, the guy behind the counter deserves some credit as well). I must have ranted and raved about it because my husband went back inside and asked where they get their beans from. So the next time we headed down to PCB, we drove over to Rosemary Beach to check out the café itself. The interior is a little pretentious and the staff somewhat hipster, but that’s okay, I enjoy that sort of thing. That being said, I didn’t stay to hang out, just purchased a pound of their espresso and a 12-ounce bag of their 30A Florida Sunrise Blend, so this review is purely based on their beans. I’ve had difficulty finding espresso/coffee that I truly enjoy in the South, and there’s just no comparison to roasters in the PNW, but Amavida’s espresso is among the better that I’ve had here. It finishes deliciously! I didn’t love the 30A Sunrise Blend at first since I prefer darker roasts, but I gave it another chance the next time I stopped by for more beans. It turned out much, much better in my grind and brew than it did in my Bialetti. I still don’t love it, but admittedly, it does make a pretty good cup of coffee, for those of you who enjoy medium roasts. It’s a little pricey but comparable to ordering beans from Seattle and also paying for shipping. It’s definitely worth going out of our way for when we’re in the PCB area.

I drink coffee all over the place. These guys have the best tasting cup of joe anywhere! The staff is very friendly. Awesome selection of products. My teen daughter loves the frozen mocha. Oh, and there is a vendor inside that sells very cool 30A products. If you visit the area, and don’t come here… you’re wrong.

My chocolate croissant had much more chocolate than those of previous reviewers. The iced white mocha was good, although a little strong for my taste.

In my opinion, only«real» coffee shop in Rosemary. Other places serve coffee and espresso drinks, but Amavida was the only place I found to truly make an authentic latte. Tip: they have organic milk if you ask!

They have loose leaf tea! A pretty good variety too… about 25 – 30 tins with good variation: greens, Darjeeling, several pu-erhs, etc. Prices are a little expensive but decent. The coffee was very good. They also sell pastries(no plain croissants though: almond, chocolate, or ham) and there’s a little gift shop in there as well with 30A type souvenirs such as t-shirts, hats and the like.

It is easy to get sucked into the care-free ambiance of Rosemary Beach. The Utopiaesque landscaping and unique architecture sets the perfect scene for a vacation. On our recent visit we decided to visit Amavida for a leisurely coffee while we read a good book. However, their pretentious menu and hipster staff just fell short of our expectations. We have visited Amavida every year on our vacation, but this year it was different. Their plush and cozy furniture was replaced with hard aluminum chairs. Their delicious pastries that we remembered are now over priced and underwhelming. And the coffee, though gourmet, was expensive and left a lot to be desired. My husband ordered a Cubano and I got a 20 oz French press. I also got a chocolate croissant. Despite telling them that we were dining in I had to request a ceramic mug and plate for my croissant instead of the paper bag and cup they gave me. They even gave me plastic ware for the croissant which promptly snapped when trying to cut the dense roll. This is a pet peeve for me because I go to a coffee shop largely for the experience. I understand that some people need their orders to go, but disposable ware shouldn’t be the default, especially with the prices they are charging. The Cubano was ready at least 7 – 10 minutes before my French press. By the time my French press was ready my husband was already finished with his tiny espresso drink. When they called my name for the French press I was surprised to see a giant cup on the counter. I told the girl that I had ordered a French press and she told me that is what she made me. I asked«don’t you normally serve the French press with a cup and leave the coffee in the press so it stays hot?» And she said no, that they pour the entire press into a single mug. A single humongous mug. No room for cream. No room for sugar. And tepid by the time I got ¼ way into the cup. I sloshed my way back to the table where my husband was cutting into the chocolate croissant. «Where is the chocolate?» he asked. Amid the heavy layers of thick croissant was a tiny dime sized smudge of chocolate about 2 inches long. Hardly enough chocolate to boast it’s title. Hubby went to the register to ask the gentleman if this is a usual proportion and was told that they outsource their baked goods«sorry». No offer for a replacement. All in all, it was just a disappointing experience. We spent about $ 15 for a croissant, espresso, and French press. I’m happy doing so if it is exceptional, but it wasn’t. We will resist the temptation to return the next time we are in Rosemary Beach and will spend our money on less pretentious things like the yummy donuts down the road at Donut Hole.

Great coffeeshop! Very friendly staff. Had the experience of my coffee being brewed with the Alpha Dominche Steampunk coffee brewer. A really unique and cool sight to behold. I highly recommend it. Coffee was crisp, clean, smooth, and tasty. I will definitely be back when I’m in PCB…

Not very good service. The workers had no personality whatsoever. When i got my chocolate chip muffin, i took a bite and it was so hard that it just crumbled to pieces. I asked the worker if she could microwave it, and it seemed like she microwaved it for only one second because it was still cold and hard as a brick. My coffee was disgusting. It tasted like dishwater and rotten milk. I will never return. I’d rate it Zero stars, but i cant.

We were staying in the area for three nights and made three thrips here for coffee. I got the iced white mocha every day. It was good depending on who made it. One of the three trips it was way stronger than the other two, so seems a little inconsistent. Very good when it’s good and has a variety of delicious smelling/looking breakfast baked goods. Cool place!

What makes me give this business 2 stars is their staff. Unfortunately this is the only«coffee shop» in Rosemary Beach, therefore if that’s the experience you’re looking for this is the only place you have to go. I went here 3 days in a row on vacation and every time the service ranged from bad to mediocre. It’s a bummer because I don’t like to give my money to people who seemingly do not appreciate my business. As far as coffee goes I loved their steam punk coffee. Their espresso beverages are above average. Bottom line: Pretty good products. Unfriendly service.

These are some coffee nerds(in a good way). We stayed in Rosemary Beach for a family vacation and found Amavida to offer the best coffees and, just as important, a wide selection of newspapers and magazines for beach reads. This is one of the few places in town that carry the New York Times or the Wall Street Journal. My wife and I had the iced coffee on a few of our visits and it was excellent. There are pastries and other food items for sale too. There is free wi-fi access in the store and a nice little patio too.
