Great food, pizza, great staff, and excellent management. If you are in the need of a party room, book room here, the management bends over backwards to accommodate you. Highly recommended

I’ve been going here for awhile. I’ve tasted almost everything on the menu. Only thing I get now a days is their Buffalo Chicken Wrap, cause honestly Jewel has better frozen pizzas. And anyone who gets delivery all the time like me knows that they screw up more then they should. But tonight was my last straw. Once again they forgot something, this time it was a large ranch dressing. So as usual, I call to notify them. The girl on the phone asks if I would like a credit or to drive 10 mins away, to get my ranch. REALLY? Since you screwed up, I should have to either just deal with it for the time being OR drive there to get what they forgot. Oh Wait! I see how this works. So if I ordered something online from eBay and the seller screws up my product(or lack of). It’s now my responsibility to drive to meet them? Now I know I’m rambling on… this pissed me off. I even asked her 3 more times. And she repeated the same thing. This was my last straw. And for what… A ranch dressing?

Food was great, I recommend getting the pizza. The blue moons were great even though I lost a bet and had to pay for them all… One thing I would’ve changed is the company I was with but besides that it was great!

Not special. Everything tasted blah and wasn’t worth the money. My sandwich had slimy lunchable — type meat on it and fell apart. Ordering and delivery was a painful experience from start to finish. I cannot recommend this place. Will never go back… even if I am starving I would prefer starvation over the food and«service» here. I hope they go out of business soon.

The manager Russell is really good looking. Like, so good looking that I come here to see him. You know, really get a good look at this attractive man. Phew, is it hot in here? No, it’s just Russell.

Love this place to watch Blackhawks Hockey and plenty of parking here. Food is affordable, but you get what you pay for. The fish fry Friday was pretty evident when you walk in the door-very fishy smelling. I ordered chicken with mashed potatoes and my chicken was hot and my potatoes were cold. Very strange. Our drink order was also wrong the first time. They rectified both situations and our server Jordan was very sweet, courteous and remained friendly despite being extremely busy with many tables. Nice hockey night drink specials. Good variety of beer and ciders too. We’ve also had the double decker pizza here. Yummy but too saucy in the middle for my tastes.

Great drink specials and food is decent. Good atmosphere for talking and watching sports. Service is either very good and friendly or slow.

Went to watch the Hawks game on a Sunday night. Not sure we will be back. The place was not busy and there were a lot of dirty tables. Service was very slow. Took forever for server to take drink order and she only asked half the table. Had to wait for her to come back to order the rest. Food was good and may be the only reason we may try again. We go out for Hawks games a lot and are looking for a place with good food and good service. This place missed with one of them.

I live nearby and frequent this establishment at least twice a week. This is «The Blackhawk’s» bar in town. Tons of TVs. Staff is friendly. Food is good. Portions are huge. Order the Rotisserie chicken. Drink specials all week. Different food special each day plus regular lunch and dinner specials. Karaōke Wednesdays and Trivia Thursdays have started to draw groups. Lots of space. Video poker. Pool tables. Darts. Golden tee. There’s a separate restaurant area but I’ve never used it. Good size patio. This is a sports bar with kind of a dive feel. Age range is all over the place. Could use more female patrons.

First, I am willing to change my review if Pop’s management refunds me money they promised for a really lousy evening of food when we invited five friends over. ** Check out my photo ** to see the slushy Pop’s pizza we had delivered. It’s awful. They replaced it an hour later and promised me a refund since dinner was late and after seeing that first pizza, our entire group lost their appetites. As of 4÷20÷16, our order from many months ago received no refund/credit yet and I suspect they’re not anxious to do so. No problem, as I’ll be sure to update this review often until they come upon it… Anyways, their pizza is apparently hit or miss(our unfortunate Fate) and as others say, the buffalo chicken wings came frozen out of a Tyson bag and were simply microwaved. VERYDISAPPOINTED and I can see how people have a hard time returning to any restaurant after such an experience.

Pops has really declined lately. 45 min for nachos over 10 min to order a drink. Yes they still have a buffet on bears game Sunday, but if I can’t even order a drink it’s not a good time. The bartenders behind the bar are extremely slow and I’d you ask me if you’re over 40 you probably shouldn’t or can’t hang with a full bar. We used to be here at least once per weekend but it is unlikely we will continue to come. Management/owners should be more mindful of what’s going on.

Came here to watch the Ronda rousey fight. Great atmosphere okay beer specials. Decided to get some wings to pass the time and they were horrible. Asked the waitress for hot, she rudely said«they’re traditional wings… They are hot». Once received extremely bland no spice and tastes like they came straight from Aldi’s. Will never eat here again.

This place is hit or miss, but I’ve been mostly lucky in my experiences. The vibe screams sports bar, but the food is actually delicious. The menu is HUGE: the pizza is great, the apps cover all the bases(fried mac and cheese bites are AMAZING), the wings are huge, and everything else is worth a shot. I’m a picky eater, but I always have a hard choice. There are only two things that keep me from giving a 5-star rating — firstly, it can be a little pricey. I would get a drink with my dinner if the check for two people wouldn’t end up near $ 50 afterward. Secondly, they aren’t great with staffing the bar area. The bar isn’t huge, but on more than one occasion, we’ve had painfully slow service because the poor bartender was by herself, serving the entire bar AND making service drinks for the waitresses. It’s not the bartenders’ fault, but management needs to have girls on call or something to combat those surprise rushes.

My family and I went to Pop’s this past Saturday around 4pm. We were seated in the restaurant side and given menus. We were the only people in the restaurant. After 15 min of waiting I went and asked the women at the front if a server was available. She said she would find someone. Ten more minutes passed and still no one. We got up and left. I proceeded to call the restaurant and speak to a manager. I shared what had happened and received only a «sorry». Very disaapointing.

I loved this place and went here at least once every 2 – 3 weeks and for every Hawks game. My parents were regulars and went weekly. There was a great atmosphere with a ton of tvs, great food, great waitresses and $ 13 domestic buckets. Then a couple of months ago the owners apparently pushed the manager out who took the cooks with him. Now you just get 30min+ wait time on food and the kitchens closes at 8pm because it can’t handle the orders. This is a recipe for angry hungry and drunk customers and bitter waitresses who are getting blamed and stiffed on their tips. Not worth the time or trouble anymore, what a waste.

Went to Pops for the first time a couple of weeks ago. Was a Saturday around noon. Five other people there and they all had their food when I showed up. Ordered a turkey club sandwich and got it 30 minutes later. Let that sink in for a moment. Toasted bread with turkey, mayo, lettuce and tomato took 30 minutes with nobody else ordering food. The bartender even went back several times to check on my food. Okay, every place deserves a second chance right? Went again tonight and it was busier but not packed. Got my food in about 20 minutes this time but my server spent most of the time sitting at a table with two other servers and a couple of guys. Another server brought out my food to her to bring to me because apparently checking on your customer’s order isn’t something they do on their own? I ended up asking yet another server to get my check and she was the one that rang it up too because mine wasn’t around. I heard two servers complain to customers about how slow it was and how they weren’t making any tips. I empathize with that but complaining about it on the floor to customers is not exactly creating a great customer experience. On the plus side the place is nice and clean and plenty of screens for sports. The food wasn’t bad either but based on the indifferent and apathetic service I think this is my last time there. There are plenty of other bars with big screens and food.

I’ve been here several times and I am never disappointed. The service is good and the food is better. I really love the cream of chicken soup & buffalo calamari(genius idea… why does no one have this!!!) I usually sit in the dining part, but the bar part is nice. I just like a less sporty area when dining. Which I find sets Pops apart from most bars. I like that you can eat in the restaurant and drink in the bar right after if you don’t feel like watching sports while eating. Definitely worth checking this place out though!

I guess consistent advertising eventually pays off. My husband and I kept getting Pop’s menus and coupons in the mail(and we drove by it often) so we headed there for dinner one night. To our surprise, Pop’s is more than just a sports bar — there is a small restaurant dining room off to the side. Both are easily accessible from either side of the building. We were seating at a quiet booth in the restaurant and promptly handed menus and a giant bowl of the most delicious bread I’ve ever had prior to a meal in a restaurant. It was SOGOOD. I nearly ate the whole loaf. For dinner, my husband ordered a rotisserie chicken while I had the fish(I believe it might have been the Friday night fish fry). Both meals were the perfect portion: not too large, but still left you stuffed after finishing off the entire plate. Both meals were also very delicious — surpsingly so, considering this was just the little dine-in restaurant attached to a bar. Our bill wasn’t too bad either. We left satsified. Our meal wasn’t the best meal we’ve ever had, but it was good and memorable enough to put this on Unilocal.Whee!

Official Chicago Blackhawks bar!!! And this is another reason that I love Unilocal!I went to Pop’s when I was much younger and I’ll always have those memories. And then I visited about three years ago. I didn’t love it. Back a year later. It’s okay. I head back last year for a party and I can see improvement. I Unilocal all about it and now over another year later, I’ve decided to give them one more star. I still don’t adore Pop’s, but as an official Blackhawks bar with good pizza, decent service and a great location, it works. I’ve tried the wings and like those too. The service gets better with each passing visit so that’s a plus in my book. Our friends love Pop’s so I imagine that we’ll be visiting again soon. And when I do, I’ll enjoy the game with our pizza and wings and I won’t feel bad about supporting this local business. Bad
