Really angry with this place. We put a deposit down for a shower and never received a notice or a refund. This used to be my favorite place close to home.

Well I took my wife here & we meet another couple. So first I;ll start with the food I ordered the Linguine and sausage dish that described the sauce as spicy and it wasn’t, my wife ordered the spicy sausage pizza and it was spicy and she loved it. Now my friend ordered the chicken with mash potato’s he asked if he could substitute the potato’s for risotto they would not he described the chicken as Mediocre, now his wife had the Cheese Ravioli or something like that which she loved. so food was about 2.5 stars. Now we each had a ValPack coupon that we tried to use and they would only honor one coupon per table even though we had two separate checks. But they did work with us to an extent So insted of each of us paying only $ 15 we ended up paying $ 23. Will I go back, Yes. Why, I still have a coupon that I bought and did not use.

I had a party for 50+ there about a month ago. Everyone had a great time. The food was good, the service excellent. I spent over $ 2,000 however, my deposit was not applied to the bill. I have called several times asking for the credit. All promises no credit… my last call I was told they would send me a check… nothing…it’s been 4 weeks today and still nothing.

Shame on me. I should have read the reviews before making reservations because they were spot on. Impecca was really a disappointment. From the outside, the restaurant looks promising for its location in downtown Roselle but once you walk in, the interior is the same chocolate brown from the walls and ceilings and makes the place look too dark and gloomy. The menu sounded appealing but I quickly learned how the food was overpriced and below second-rate. Impecca offered a special brunch buffet for Mother’s Day. I was looking forward to trying various items on their menu but instead, they had brunch classics like French toast and eggs benedict with other dinner items like chicken cutlets, pasta, and prime rib. Impecca should have used this opportunity to highlight some of their signature items. In its place, I quickly learned how mediocre their food was. The prime rib was cooked unevenly, the pasta was overcooked, and the chicken was dry. The food was bland and on par with cafeteria food. It’s very telling when an Italian restaurant can’t do pasta right. For the brunch buffet, it was $ 27 a person plus tax and tip. I don’t know what made me sick in the stomach more — the food or the bill. These are glaring mistakes and marks for a restaurant heading to be on Kitchen Nightmares or Restaurant Impossible.

Absolutely the best place to dine in the area. I visited Impecca with a group of friends last weekend. The service was top notch, we were seated immediately, and were given water, bread and olive oil within minutes. The menu selection offered something for everyone. After sampling a few of the other dishes ordered at my table I was convinced that they create all their dishes from scratch — no short cuts here. Everything tasted fresh and was prepared perfectly. I will definitely be back again.

I just came here for the drinkin’, so that’s all I can rate. The bartender knows his stuff(seriously…dude went to Scotland to learn about distilling), the wine list is decent(and includes some locals from Lynfred!), the place looks nice(as does the new bar they are opening up soon… stay tuned), and service was great. It’s a little pricey(not as bad as DOC!), but that’s what happens when you buy a bottle at a restaurant. I’ve really got to start drinking at home but this is as good a place as any to drink with the public.

This was a solid experience, and I’d give 3.5 stars if I could. Our party of six arrived early for dinner, and we were seated immediately because all tables were open. Other than the Lynfred Winery down the street(which i’d also recommend) the area is kind of dead. Nonetheless we got a table at the window and a great server Hernando. Probably the best and most unique plate was a polenta appetizer topped with(pulled?) pork. The polenta was creamy and delicious. The pork topping was a nice savory touch. We received bread with olive oil immediately and the homemade blue cheese salad dressing was delicious. Everyone enjoyed their selections including an incredibly rich ravioli stuffed with mushroom and steak, fillet medallions with fingerling potatoes, and even chicken pot pie. Classic, comfort, talian-style entrees. Prices were reasonable for the portions. We choose a $ 26 bottle of Cabernet. They did have a Lynfred red on the list, but it was priced at $ 60 a bottle at restaurant and we had just bought it for under $ 25. Dessert were equally rich including a banana puff pastry with caramel sauce, chocolate and vanilla gelato. They offer(homemade?) limoncello as well. We were pleasantly surprised, and if I were meeting someone in the NW burbs, I would go back or recommend.

I had a gift certificate to use, so I used it here. The restaurant was appealing to me – intimate and low lighting. The polenta bolognese appetizer was very good; it was my first time eating polenta, and I was not disappointed; I liked it better than my main dish. The house salad with raspberry vinaigrette had the right amount of dressing and variety of veggies. I did not like the create-your own pasta dish as I paid $ 7 extra for 3 tiny mussels and 4 ring-sized calamaris. As someone else mentioned, most of the pasta dishes could have been something that I could have cooked at home with little trouble. But all in all, I had a good time there as the mood was jovial for the holiday season.

While this place was good, it is not so amazing that we will be driving the 40 minutes from the city to get here. I also think that the pasta menu with«add-ons» is a bit tacky. When you have a starting price of $ 12.95 for a pasta, it is really cheap to charge $ 2 extra for meat ravioli and then another $ 1.95 for fresh mozzarella and another couple of bucks for some mushrooms. Your $ 13 dish ends up being $ 20 without any real value added. The polenta bologense was delicious — pork shoulder and bolognese sauce on creamy polenta — yum. Both came with soup or salad — also fine. From there, things were less spectacular. His ravioil was okay, had some kind of sausage on top that was spicy. My farfalle was drowning in bechamel sauce. We never got more bread that we asked for, the desserts we got were half of what was on the menu(no gelato on the shortcake or other cake as described) and the shortcake was really odd — not a pound cake, not a biscuit, but actual yellow cake? Who made that? There is clearly a mentality pushed on the staff of «upsell» which comes across loud and clear. But, the prices are not crazy — a full three course meal with drinks for the two of us was only about $ 90 before tip.

PRICEY! Ceasar salad with salmon and a cup of cream of mushroom soup = $ 27!!! The waiter was very rude, abrupt and irritated with us! He was mad that we asked for bread, frustrated because some people got up to talk to other people at the end of the table(large party), and he was incredibly slow. The kitchen couldn’t keep up and there was only one other table at 2 in the afternoon. I will never return.

Fantastic! I definitely recommend. We arrived on Tuesday around 4pm so the restaurant was empty, which was nice. I love Italian restaurants that have the«make your own pasta dinner» option — you choose the pasta, type of sauce and extras. I had their Impecca sauce over penne with a side of meatballs. Their house dressing was fantastic too, a creamy vinegarette. The only thing that was lacking was the first bottled beer I ordered was a little on the tepid side, and the minestrone soup was a bit weak. I did love the huge chunks of vegetables in the soup however, a bit too much oregano and the stock(broth) was a little thin. We will be returning however as the meal for the most part was very good and the bartender, Tony was a friendly and accommodating waiter/server. They will be at the taste of Roselle this weekend 8−3−12 through 8−5−12

Dinner at Impecca was just OK. They have a fairly extensive cocktail menu, but it’s heavily slanted toward very strong martinis which aren’t to my liking. So I had a beer instead. The complementary bread was nothing special. The Four Cheese pizza(which I had them add sausage to) was good, but kind of messy as pizza goes, and my stomach was a bit upset that night. Maybe the walk home on a full stomach was to blame; it’s hard to say. That said, my girlfriend’s meal was quite good. The décor seemed kind of dull, and service was fine but not particularly noteworthy.

Sorry, but Impecca looses a star. We returned for our anniversary. We ordered a pork chop medium and a risotto dish, both with soup. A busser put a basket of bread on the table. The basket had a spoon(?) in it. We didn’t get any oil or butter for the bread. The minestrone was forgettable. The risotto was absolute mush. Chef Anthony came out to apologize. He said that he has been there only a few months. He said he wanted to change some things but the owners wouldn’t let him. The risotto was one of these items. The owners told him«the customers like it that way.» It reminded me of when Gordon Ramsey is trying to revive a failing restaurant and the owner will invariably tell him«The customers love our food.» You turn around and the dining room is empty! What customers? My pork chop, ordered medium, came rare at best. When I cut it it looked like seared tuna, a thin tan crust and the rest completely red. They re-fired it and the second time it was OK. The apple and balsamic reduction on the plate was clawingly sweet, almost like candy. The mashed potatoes were just slightly above room temperature. Note to the owners, WAKEUP before it’s too late!

Oh Impecca… you make Olive Garden look like a 5-star classy establishment. I had the highest of hopes for you. All I’ve ever wanted was a cute, trendy place that was walking distance from my home with great food, a cute bar, and stellar ambiance. Ohhhh, where should we begin… Food: Upon opening the food was REALLY good. Definitely 4 or 5 stars good. But since then, it’s gone downhill — and fast. Everything is over-salted and lacks flavor. If you’re lucky, you may receive something drenched in butter. Typically I don’t enjoy wilted spinach swimming in a pool of oil or butter. Gross. It’s also obvious the ingredients aren’t fresh — and dishes are prepared well in advance. As for the prices — way high. I’m sorry Impecca, but if you’re going to price your dishes with the likes of Maggiano’s, Spiaggia, or La Scarola — the food better be that good, if not better. Example: penne pasta with fresh mozzarella, basil, mushrooms in «Impecca» sauce for $ 14.95!!! I can buy all those ingredients for a fraction of the price and do a better job myself. Ambiance: At a glacé it definitely has a trendy, upscale, «city-like» feel. The bar is nice — I’m a fan of fancy tiles. However, aesthetics aren’t everything. On a side note: I also enjoy eating off a clean table. Brooms are also useful for sweeping up the mess previous patrons left behind. Service: The waiters/waitresses/hostess are usually pretty friendly. Bar tenders not so much. I’m also not a fan of hearing people screaming profanities at each other in the kitchen. Professional? I think not. Sorry Impecs — I was hoping you would be the star of my little Roselle neighborhood. But if improvements aren’t made, you may not be around for long.

This really isn’t that great of a place! Most of the stuff is pasta(which I don’t get if I’m ordering out cause, come on. Just cook it at home, right?). Anyway the other meat dishes they have are few and far between. I got a chicken dish and wasn’t impressed. The flavor was bland and the plate vegetables also did not have much flavor.

Solid family place. My dish was really more 3 star, but the cute ambience and friendly, organized and attentive waitress merits the extra star(very pretty, tall, blonde woman). Plus I didn’t get pasta, which I really should do next time. We stumbled in after a wine tasting down the way at Lynfred Winery. After our mini-disaster at Nuova Italia, I’ve not really been eager to try Italian outside of the City. But the others wanted to go, so there we went. So glad! It’s a nice neighborhood joint filled with families, but our slightly inebriated and very eclectic group were all welcomed. The prices were so reasonable, and I couldn’t choose from all the delish offerings, so I tried the pork chop, which I asked for pink, but got well-done. The waitress was so apologetic, and immediately offered to take the dish back. Didn’t want to hold up the rest of my party, so declined, but major points scored there. Still very good dish, if slightly chewy being well-done. Everyone else’s dish looked so good too, and pretty much everything was polished off. Prices are very reasonable, portions are big, and our bill came broken down by diner #1, diner #2, etc. so it was easy for each of us to figure out what we owed. Fantastic.

SOLID4 star Italian fare joint… Quick summary: Nice décor, wait staff very nice and attentitive, owners are actually there working, and food is fresh and great quality. My summary: Friday night 3 hungry Catholic boys grabbing dinner during lent. You know we are«Catholic», not church goers at all but grew up w/the religion as kids. Ha! :) Anyways total seafood meal which I prefer anyways… Ate at the bar that has two flats so March Madness updates were key. Apps were Mussels in a spicy tomatoe sauce, exactly how it sounds was the taste from an Italian joint. Also ordered the grilled calamari. It was good and fresh, but Im a tentacle fan and there wasnt any, they served the actual squid in whole pieces w/out cutting them into circles served w/a balsamic vinagerette. I think it was the same that was on the salad so same flavors in a way. Totally understand the complexity to run a kitchen in the background but possibly change it up a lil. Salad was fresh mixed greens w/a light mix of basic veg. Entrée was Salmon on top of a basil risotto and grilled asparagus. There was also a rich butter white wine sauce topping the salmon that accented the dish perfectly. That sauce was yummy and probably could have just ordered a bowl of it. I definitely felt that a Spin class was much needed after that sauce the next morning! The fish had a nice pan sear on it and the risotto was a nice creamy el dente as it should! My plate along w/all my others friends looked liked they were licked clean. We all ordered different fish dishes as well and all were enjoyed… Dessert was strawberry Gelatto. They were unfortunately out of homemade bread pudding so I was kinda bummed but understand that stuff happens. Gelatta was good gelatto. After dinner drink was a nice port wine. :) Great restaurant in non foodie town. I was debating on 5 stars but maybe after I try that black linguini I was eye balling!

I really wanted to like this restaurant more than I did, especially since I live close by. Sadly, I was a bit let down. Impecca has a simple, trendy, bistro atmosphere with a nice bar that looks like it belongs in a nightclub. The waitstaff is friendly, knowledgeable, and unobtrusive. The food and the prices, however, are nothing to brag about. I had pretty standard Italian fare: a calamari appetizer and a chicken parmesan entrée. The prices were around what you’d pay at Maggiano’s Little Italy, but the food was nowhere near that level of quality. The calamari was straight up rubbery and the chicken was both overcooked and under seasoned. It was certainly edible, but mostly, I was eating my food thinking about cooler things I could have spent $ 30 on. There are so many other things: socks, for example. I don’t think a restaurant should have that effect on its guest. Regardless, I think Impecca will do just fine for its self. It has a nice bar that is always packed with 20 and 30 somethings almost every night. If Impecca were the only choice for Italian food in the area, maybe it would be worthwhile, but honestly, I think I’d go to Olive Garden before I went back to Impecca. I hate to say it(and believe me, I do), but they have better food.

I don’t really know what all the fuss is except its a linen table cloth Italian restaurant in Roselle. I suppose when you are a down town area lacking a sit down restaurant, it’s wonderful, but I was not«impressed». The atmosphere was simple, clean and comfortable. Nothing too fancy. I thought you had to be all dressed up for dinner here, so we were a little over done, but hey, we looked nice. You could completely get away with wearing jeans and a nice top. My boyfriend and I met 3 other couples here for dinner and I was really looking forward to the meal. I had heard it was delicious. We had a variety of bruchetta and some calamari. Calamari was fresh and served hot, just the way I like it. The bruchetta had an interesting twist, but I thought it was a little overpriced for what it was. The server we had, while a lovely young woman, seemed to be a bit overwhelmed. Now, typically I can be hard to please, I’ll admit that, but I was out with what I believe to have been 4 other previously employed servers from other establishments, and we truly tried to make things as easy as possible, but when the problems started, they did not stop. We started with a bottle of wine, which was very nice. I also ordered a diet soft drink(coke or pepsi, I can not recall) and it tasted like mildew or mold. The lines obviously needed cleaning and the soda was«non-drinkable» and unacceptable in my eyes. I brought this to our server’s attention and she offered to bring another one, which simply upset me, because she also mentioned she knew of this issue from previous complaints. Next was our dinner course. I ordered Lemon basil marinated breast of chicken with roasted mushrooms, roasted potatoes and capers in a herb, lemon and white wine sauce. The flavor of this dish was very nice. I truly enjoyed it. The potatoes on the other hand were undercooked, hard and inedible. Again, our server offered to bring another side of potatoes. Both the soda and the potatoes on the second time around were the same. The soda tasted exactly the same as the first glass and the potatoes were still under cooked. I don’t know why, but it seems to always be me who gets screwed when we go out, therefore, making every one think I’m some P.I.T.A. I had my friends sip my soda and taste the potatoes to confirm I was not being unreasonable, and it was in fact all true. I left a bit disappointed. I like to think that it was just an off night for them, so I will give it another whirl but if that soda issue isn’t fixed, I’m out.

Impecca, we have been waiting for you!!! This is exactly what Roselle needed, great atmosphere, attentive staff, good food, reasonable prices. Sat at the bar-Anthony was the quintessential professional. The fact that they and Vine tastings are both not being PAID to be in the empty storefronts in the main district are a testimony to the fact that the politicians and business developers in our town are idiots. I hope you guys make it big and they grovel at your feet someday.
