I ended up at Romulito’s because it was the only place open when I got to Roseburg. I have no plans to ever return. Unfortunately they were out of rice and the service was pretty poor. I understand that it was late but I was surprised that they were out of the one ingredient that comes with almost every menu item. The burrito I had was sub-par and I was very unsatisfied with the service.

My wife and I ate here in 2000 and decided not to come back. We gave it a second chance today. Will try again in another 15 years. Nuff said.

NOTE: I just moved form Central California where Mexican food is thought of as American food. There’s great Mexican food everywhere. I have eaten here 3 times now, and every time was great. THEFOOD folks, it’s about the food. Chile Relleno was authentic and made form a real, fresh, tasty chile that was not over cooked and had never been canned. Cheese was right and sauce was excellent. Enchilada was good but nothing really special. Ambiance is about a 2.5 star, food served on paper plates is barely a 2-star. Zero table service, but the place is clean, comfortable, and well lit. TONIGHT, I had a regular Carnitas(*tender pork) burrito. There was no rice, no beans, nothing to fill me up except pork, really great Pick de Gallo(salsa) and guacamole. Heaven in a warm tortilla. TRYTHEZANAHORIA(Spanish for carrots). They’re out there in the salsa table, and really good. Barely hot — just enough so you want another and another. Great snack as you wait for your food.

The food was decent but not good. The atmosphere was terrible. A group of us went in for lunch and they decided to rip out their rotting ceiling tiles while we were eating. Dust and mold flying everywhere. I had my 5 year old with me so we just left. Gross!!!

This is my favorite hang-over breakfast place, lol! The burritos and tacos are very tasty. I like that they have coke in the bottle. Service is alway good and fast. Prices are very reasonable.

I finally caught myself making one too many excuses for Romolitos. Tables are smeared with food? Well, they are short staffed. Prices increased again? Well, at least the salsa bar is still free. Served another dry machaca burrito so difficult to chew it might as well be filled with rubber bands? Well…yeah, there’s just no excuse for that. Romolitos survives because Roseburg offers a captive audience and a dearth of cheap and tasty taquerías. Years ago, the restaurant featured three-taco lunch specials, breakfast burritos with more meat and egg than potato and beans, and combination plates at 30−50% less than what you’d find in a sit-down Mexican restaurant. Nearly $ 9 for two carne asada tacos, refried beans and rice, served cafeteria-style on a paper plate isn’t my idea of a good value. I’d rather sit down at a place where I can order a margarita and chat lazily over a free dish of chips and salsa. Romolitos doesn’t serve alcohol. It doesn’t staff waitresses. It doesn’t serve free chips and salsa. However, its prices are at or near what you’d pay to sit down and eat lunch in many other Mexican restaurants in Roseburg. And that was all right several years ago, when the prices and the food quality gave Romolitos a niche. The $ 4.49 lunch specials included a fountain drink. The food was reasonable good and fast. Today, the featured breakfast burrito is the Romus mix, filled with bacon, sausage, chorizo, eggs, potatoes, sour cream and cheese. It sells for $ 6.99, which makes it the second-most expensive burrito behind the carne asada supreme($ 7.69). So, when is Romolitos still a good choice? If you find yourself eyeing the Taco Bell across the street, Romolitos is the better option. At one time, I could say«a lot better» but those days are long gone. And so are the excuses.

Probably the best Mexican food in Roseburg! They always get our orders right and the food is made quick. Haven’t had anything on the menu that I didn’t like! Great food!

We have been going there for years and the food has always been good. However, there is a big problem. Last night we had just returned from a trip and just wanted something quick. Now they took people that were behind us and ignored us as the woman in the back yelled at the cook… awkward. I got my burrito, ate some of it and the result was we got sick. This is the second time this has happened, last time we thought it was something else because it’s never happened before. This time affirmed that something is wrong. Never going back.

This place used to be very good food. Now though, it is burned, overly salted, and in general horrible.

In all my trips to Mexico, this place seems to be the most authentic restaurant in town that represents«mexican» food. The staff seem very friendly, Its not the cleanest place, but I think the food makes up for it.

Well to start, food is great was not disappointed, I’ve had better Mexican food but it was still good. Very good sized portions. The atmosphere is very authentic of you wanna put it that way. Plenty of seating. Service is very fast a made to order for the most part, very friendly as well. All in all nice place will return.

Place was not the cleanest, but we only came for the breakfast burritos which are amazing. Never get anyrhing else but that from this Mexican restaurant. If I want true mexican in Roseburg I go to Burrito Taquero. It is also closer to the freeway.

Make no mistake, this is cheap food, but it is good cheap food. The Carne Asada Burrito is wonderful. This is a great place to go to instead of Taco Bell.

My friends and I stopped here to eat lunch before heading back onto I-5 Portland bound. It wasn’t my idea to eat here nor I wasn’t in a mood for Mexican food. I only ordered dessert(ice cream w/fudge and cinnamon chips) but the dessert taste plain cheap. I regret taking a bite out of my friend’s chimichanga because the chimichanga was soggy and flavorless. They use the ingredients from some grocery store to make the food. The service was decent but the food was terrible. My friends don’t have any damn common sense when choosing a decent place to eat while road tripping. Roseburg’s Hispanic population is 4%, HELLLLOOO?

I would pass on the chimichanga; the tacos where good though… I’m inclined to get Tino’s though next time I have a hankering for tacos when I’m out and about in The ‘Burg.

Back this time with enough time — Had menudo again. Very tasty — lots of meat, but a medium-sized bowl. Five corn tortillas. Salsa bar has the pickled carrots and chiles. Quite amenable.

Great mexican food! Hole in the wall. Depending on who makes it, the Habanero hot sauce will make you hurt. Carnitas breakfast burritos are amazing! Not on the menu, but ask for it.

One of many area Mexican restaurants with OK food, but nothing spectacular. The three different salsas offered here set them apart.

As far as Mexican food goes, it was OK but there is much better in town. They do not offer chips-n-salsa to snack on like most places. There did not seem to be a wait staff, but more of a cafeteria style setup. I have had several friends say this place is the best, but I did not think so. I would eat here again, but it would not be upon my suggestion.
