Leonardo’s Pizzeria & Restaurant

Very nice, new building and pleasant, cooperative teamwork between the waitstaff. I asked for help deciding and waitress gave me 3 – 4 minutes (during lunch rush) suggesting things. I settled on trying something I never had before:
Spaghetti Ala Carbonara (as per menu)
Sauteed with olive oil, fresh garlic and marinara sauce.
Try it Authentic Style, sauteed bacon, onions and parsley in an egg cream sauce (I got authentic)
I also ordered steak soup as side. It was suggested that this was similar to Alfredo Sauce but I envisioned a rustic breadcrumb, olive oil, bacon and cheese pasta dish. (dunno why, just did)
One taste of soup told me I was in great hands. Tasty, nuanced and decent portion. (I attempted to upsell to a bowl but there is no cup portion, only bowls) Combined with Garlic Knots on table and Olive Oil for dipping made a wonderful impression.
Dinner arrived and it was indeed an Alfredo cousin. (if not same) It was a little one note for my tastes but I was the one who ignored waitress and had envisioned something different. Decent portion. (about a meal and a half) Ice Tea and bill was $ 16. All in all a great way for a twenty to give his all for the team.
I will be back. I will get something different.

Went there tonight and has the best striped sea bass I’ve ever had in my life! Also had a very hard to find DOUBLE Crooked Tree on draft!!! Will come back!!!

Ugh. I have a love/​hate relationship with this place. Sometimes the food is good and sometimes it’s awful. When it’s bad it’s really bad, like the food isn’t cooked all the way. I wish we had more options where we live, then I’d never order from here!

Close to airport hotels, open late for carry out. Plenty of parking. Friendly staff. Order was completed perfectly. Reasonable prices.
Pizza was a thicker crust with a crispy outside and satisfying chewiness. The sauce was a good balance between sweetness and richness. We had pepperoni mushroom and sweet pepper and all the toppings looked and tasted fresh. As a NY native, I’d say that for the style this was really solid pizza. Overall, a really good experience, with the right mix of good service good food and ease of ordering and pick up.

Limited beer selection.

Close to airport so lot of travelers eating there.

This is my favorite Italian restaurant (so far). I remember it was a smaller pizzeria back in the 90’s. Now, it’s a nice upgraded and (I think) authentic dining place. Italian music playing overhead and even sometimes if you request it a guy plays the violin at your table if it’s a special occasion. The staff are professional and polite. It does take forever for them to bring out your food but it’s worth the wait. Delicious! I can never finish everything so I’m always bringing home a doggy bag for later.

Great for teams. We were in town for a hockey tournament and had 15 hungry 13 year olds and parents. We called at 745pm and not only did they take us, the service and food were outstanding. I definitely recommend this place.

Pretty solid place, especially given the limited selection near the airport. Only got a pizza and salad to go but it was tasty and I plan on being back. Friendly take out clerk as well by the way.

Ordered take out last minute on a Friday night. They were very quick, professional and my whole order was correct despite ordering 20 minutes before closing! Food was excellent, hot and authentic! My husband is vegan and I am a vegetarian; and there were still a ton of options for us!!! My husband ordered a vegetarian pizza roll with no cheese he says it was HUGE and amazing!!! I had the cheese raviolis and they were delish! My husband said his fried mushrooms were some of the best he’d ever had!!! Wasn’t a big fan of the bread sticks… will absolutely be back again and again!!!

This has been me and my husbands «go to spot» for the last 4yrs every time we fly. Tonight we tried the pizza for the first time and LOVED it !!!

Caesar salad was big and dressing was delicious, probably best shared. World famous pizza lived up to the hype. May be back tomorrow to try the pasta!

I have dreams about this place.
No…seriously. The bruschetta is beyond amazing. The most flavorful bruschetta that I have had in my life! I work in this area local to this establishment and when Leo’s is open, I am there! They even deliver!

Cobb salad was great and the staff was very friendly. Defidently will stop back next time I’m in town!

Great. Food was delicious and very filling. Definitely recommend. Start with the Hungarian Peppers.

Good portions but airport prices. Bread and salads were standard, the clam chowder soup was runny, not creamy enough. The wine list is sufficient with moderate prices.
Chicken Marsala: this was… interesting. The sauce was a bit overwhelming and not so much a subtle compliment but, the main statement.
Meat Ravioli: about a dozen come on the plate, with the marinara sauce it kind of just tasted like pizza, nothing special. Along with a bit of runniness from the ravioli… from what I am assuming is the freezer burn melted.

Delivery food and service were petty good! Ordered the caprese salad and Leonardo’s deluxe pizza. Both were fresh and delivered under the estimated time. Only downside was plasticware was not provided.

When you want some real authentic Italian food this is the place. The soup is even awesome. My favorite is the meatball calzone! Dine in is good but, the carry out is too.:-) They also deliver

Probably the best pizza I have EVER had! I got the Leonardo’s pie style pizza… AMAZING!!! Service was fast and extremely personable:) I ordered delivery from my hotel room. They were there before the allotted time. Highly recommend!

I try to stop by here to eat each time I come to the Detroit area. It is one of my favorite restaurants in the area. The Fettuccine Alfredo is excellent as is the pasta faggioli. I had the salmon which was very good. The sauce in small doses added nicely to the flavor of the salmon.
The service was adequate. The atmosphere pleasant. I will be back.

I had a horrible experience with Leonardo’s. I ordered the Seafood Pizza and cheesy bread stix for delivery. The toppings and cheese were all shifted to three slices of the pizza. So essentially the other slices had no toppings or cheese! Nothing like eating five slices of alfredo pizza! See picture! The cheesy sticks were really rubbery and the taste of the pizza was awful at best .I found this to be unacceptable!
Not to mention the delivery driver was 15 late after being told I would get the pizza no later than 45 minutes. No utensils, plates, or napkins were provided after I told them I was staying in a hotel.
One of the worst experiences I have ever had. To add salt to the wound the 12″ seafood pizza, cheesy stix, and 32 ounce soda cost me $ 26.00. One of the worst $ 26.00 I ever spent in my life!
