Very good service. Had 2 of the $ 6 lunch specials, a burger and a fish plate that came with fries. Both quite good. Chips came with the burger. Free buckets of peanuts. Pretty cool décor on inside also.

I recently moved to the Romeo area and have been to this restaurant a few times. I have had takeout, pizza and dined in and everything is good! It’s seems like traditional bar food, but everything is really good. My husband had a steak and said it was cooked perfectly and he is really picky. We have been to fancy steakhouses and he complained how the steak cooked. The prices are reasonable too. I have had the perch and the mother clucker and both were really good. The pizza is some of the best pizza I have had. I love this place and I’m sure we will become regulars!

Every time I’m in town visiting my family we always make a trip to Thee Office. It’s walking distance and it’s awesome. The food is great, drinks are great, and the vibe is, well, great!

As part of my birthday celebration we came here for dinner. I was surprised to see this place so busy on a Monday night. We were greeted right away and seated in a nice spot in the dining area. Our waitress took our orders and we received our drinks right away. Our meal did take a little bit longer then we thought and that’s when another waiter apologize for the wait that they had a large party and the food would be there shortly. Nice to be informed. I ordered the Ruben and it was good, better then average. The corned beef wasn’t fatty and had a nice taste. The side of Thousand Island a nice touch and it seemed homemade. I decided on a side of chips and coleslaw instead of just fries. My husband ordered the perch and fries and enjoyed every bite. I really liked this place, cool décor, good jams played softly over the entire place, the staff was extremely friendly and professional and the food was very good.

Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon after a soccer game in the area. The place was pretty crowded but there were some open tables. We enter from the rear of the building and after walking down a small hallway came to an opening where the restroom doors are located and what seem to possibly be a lobby area. There was no one there and no signage to say if we are to seat ourselves or wait to be seated. There is a podium but it was pushed up against the wall in the corner and nothing was on it. So we took a quick walk around the entire restaurant looking for some open seats which there were a few open tables. When we got to the front of the building where people come in off the street there was a sign that said go to the lobby to be seated. So we started migrating back to that area. At that point a waitress stopped us and said that she’d be happy to seat us but they had a group before us. When we went back to the lobby area the hostess who was never there before said that she would seat us. I asked why there was no signage and no one was here before and she was very condescending about the whole situation. That started things off on the wrong foot for me and if not for the rest of my family being very hungry I would’ve left at that point. It was the thing I disliked the most about our experience here. She was a real cant… typo… Our waitress was pretty darn good. Our appetizers and meals came up fairly quickly and they were all very good. I would rate this place five stars if not for the condescending hostess. And to be fair they were busy and maybe she was just having a bad day. But I don’t like it when people are rude to me. Then again who does? My wife had a mother clucker sandwich which was fabulous. I had a chicken fajita salad which was very big and filling. The kids had children’s meals, chicken tenders and buttered pasta. We also grab some appetizers of fried pickles and fried jalapeños with onions. They were all very tasty.

This place has to be one of the best pubs/bars in northern Macomb county. And few people outside of Romeo even know about it! I grew up less than 10 miles away from downtown Romeo and had never been to Thee Office, apparently just known as «The Pub» by locals. I moved to downtown Romeo about a year ago and The Pub has quickly become a favorite in downtown. I did a pub crawl in downtown Romeo with my siblings and fiancé(then girlfriend) when we first moved to town. Our first stop was The Pub and just to carb up, we decided to split a pizza. Holy cannoli, best decision ever! No joke, I’m Italian, and grew up on pizza, and I tell people all the time, THEEOFFICEPUBHASONEOFTHETOPFIVEPIZZASINSOUTHEASTMICHIGAN. The dough/crust rivals some of the best, fluffy pizzas I’ve ever had. It’s not New York style, with the thin crust, rather a beautiful fluffy, airy pizza. Not too thick, like a Detroit style pizza, but just a great, round pie, with great dough. You have to make it in on a Wednesday when they have half off pizza during the day, buy one get one half off at night. The Pub has become a favorite since. Whenever people come to town to visit, I take them to The Pub for pizza, burgers, beer, and free peanuts. They have other great deals during the week, and bands/singers that come in periodically. All of my friends that grew up in romeo SWEAR by this place. It’s a nice, double sided restaurant. Pub on one side, family restaurant on the other, so you can have either experience. A beer and pizza while watching the game with some friends, or a nice, quieter restaurant to bring the family. When you first walk into the pub side, it looks like a classic pub, but the food is much more than expected. Granted I’ve only had pizzas and burgers, but when they’re as good as they are, why get anything else.

Stopped in The Office Pub on our way home from the Thumb last weekend. Everything was great. If I stop in here another time or two, I can definitely see 5-star potential. Just didn’t feel like I had enough to go on to warrant a 5-star initially. Our server was very friendly and attentive. The sampler platter that we shared was quite good. The potato skins(or boats I think they call them) were awesome. The onion rings were excellent and the chicken fingers were solid too. They have great ranch dressing, which should never be overlooked. It was a great atmosphere in a nice downtown area. If you’re in the area or passing by, it’s worth the jaunt off the freeway to stop in for a drink and/or meal to check it out. We have our normal«route» from the Detroit area to the Thumb, but I think after stopping in Romeo, we’re going to make this a consistent detour instead of the places at which we had been stopping. Much better food and atmosphere than our normal stops. The only bummer is that they don’t have a claw machine and I’m an addict.

Ended up here on the 4th of July after the place we wanted to go was closed. The menu has great choices from bar apps, burgers, salads and sandwiches to a few Mexican choices and pizza. Since our original plan was Mexican decided to go with the homemade burrito. It was okay, not like going to an actual Mexican place. It was served with Spanish rice(which in my opinion was probably the worst thing on the plate), and a side of chips and salsa. The salsa was probably the best of the entire thing. The price I thought was a bit much for the food. I ordered a strawberry daiquiri which was not all that great, and tiny! If it had any alcohol in it, it wasn’t much. And it took an awful long time to arrive. Our waitress was not at all friendly, even trying to get her to smile took a lot of effort and she only did it once. When my daiquiri was gone she never even asked if I want another one. Since this is a pretty small town and to go anywhere else is quite a drive, I may try it again but would not be my first choice.

Last minute plans helped us stop here for lunch & it definitely wasn’t a disappointment! I had the Texas Chicken Melt; really fresh, soft, flavorful bun w/Texas Toothpicks(deep fried & breaded onion strips w/jalapenos together) & a really yummy Mexi-Ranch sauce on the side, my friend had one of their June specials, which was the MItchell’s Meaning calzone. It was HUGE& loaded w/chicken, bacon, mozzarella cheese & yellow peppers(pepperoncini’s I’m guessing) packed w/flavor. My other friend ordered their side salad which came w/a freshly baked bread stick, shredded cheese, croutons, tomatoes & red onions as well as their chicken strips & fries, HUGE pieces of chicken strips w/perfectly seasoned fries. Excellent service & very clean(cute mirror motif in the women’s restroom too!). We’ll definitely be back!

WHAT A GEM! Cookery indeed! So, my friend and I were actually trying to go somewhere else(closed) to celebrate her birthday and ended up here by VERYHAPPY accident! We were sitting in my car, looking at Unilocal!to find a good restaurant in downtown Romeo and everyone said how great the pizza and burgers were so we went in. The bar side had a cozy atmosphere(the big side was closed, being a slow Monday night) with high tops, low tops or bar choices. The promised-peanut shells were on the floor, although we never saw any peanuts anywhere. Go figure. We asked about the menu and the waitress explained that unless it was typical frozen-to-fried bar-type food, pretty much everything there is ALLHOUSE-MADE, so I cant wait to go back to try more off the menu, which was very extensive, including Mexican fare as well. The two of us ordered, to share, a personal pizza and a Traverse City Salad and PICKLECHIPS! to start.(Plus drinks) The pickle chips were AMAZING. the perfect combo of pickle and chip — thin round slices LIGHTLY battered and LIGHTLY fried with yummy ranch dressing. I’d make the trip from Troy just for these little gems and a cold drink. But why stop there? You might think that you’ve already had the best pizza ever somewhere else. And, respectfully, you’d be mistaken. Because the best pizza ever is here at Thee Office Pub. Because the ingredients could not possibly be any fresher and this«personal» pizza could hardly fit on the plate and the crust… OH the crust. Normally, I don’t eat crust. I inhaled the crust and licked my fingers and wished there were MORE. It’s GOT to be homemade from scratch. MMMM. The salad was nothing exciting but FRESH and delicious with dried cherries to make it extra tasty. Great service. Great prices. Don’t think, just go.

Got together with some family and friends here for St patty’s day and I love it. It was packed! As a bar should be on St patty’s day. Peanuts and green beer. They also serve Strongbow which was nice to see. Had a few shots of Jamison and left with a smile on my face.

Tuesdays are burger and beer night, which is an unbeatable deal for the price and quality of the meal! The burger is a great size, juicy, and always cooked to perfection and I really like the bar fries they serve with it also. Every time I’ve been in here I’ve always had good service too, the bartenders that have waited on me and my friends/family are very friendly.

This place reminds me of living out West. The laid back peanut-shells-on-the-floor, huge classic wood bar, country music, and dim lighting all gave it a vintage feel. I went at lunchtime, when they offer several $ 5.99 lunch specials. I had a pulled pork sandwich, which was hot and delicious, and french fries. Overall it was a good experience.

I have been wanting to go here since we moved. We finally went yesterday. Tuesday is $ 6.99 burger/brew with fries. They have different specials and soups through out the week. If you love pizza, head out there on Wednesday’s for buy one get one pizza! The prices are very reasonable and the service was great! Since this was my husband and my first time at the pub, our waitress let us sample a couple beers and was very helpful. The soup of the day was cream of mushroom and rice… wow! Delicious! I got the soup and salad combo and the bowl of soup was a good size. I was satisfied and still had salad coming. Hubs got the burger brew and it’s cute, they ‘brand’ their logo into the top bun. He normally gets a $ 61lb burger and fries from a bar down the street from our house but then is so stuffed. The Office Pubs ½ burger and fries was just enough. Filling but not overly stuffed you just want to unbutton your pants and take a nap. I can’t wait to go back. $ 22 for two dinners and two tall beers. They have a large menu and so many yummy sounding options. I can’t wait to try more!

Very laid back. Friendly service. They were very accommodating with our baby in his carrier. The décor is clean and unique. It is difficult to come up with a word to describe the style. Old signs & pictures on freshly painted walls and some brick. The bar«side» is darker than the family side. Nice bright windows at the front. The bar area has a nice«Cheers» feel. Prices are reasonable. They have decent lunch specials. Holy beef. The burgers are great. The beef tastes fresh. Clean flavors. I had a patty melt and loved it. The onion rings are homemade. Or they taste that way. Their craft beer selection is varied. They have 8 pulls and commit 5 of them to local beers.
