UCLA Health Palos Verdes – Primary Care

Pros: This place is very close to my home, brand new, clean and friendly.
Cons: Because they are so new, no one knows how to run the insurance or business side of this office. They «hit me over the head» urging me to come in and get a specific treatment done (for my chronic shoulder pain) after me repeatedly saying no, but to their avail I caved and decided to give their treatment a try, but only after asking them 3 times to make sure it was covered by my insurance. They assured me that it was covered on many occasions. I came in, got the treatment done, left and got a bill for $ 140.
I called the office and told them that they assured me that this was covered. I spoke with the manager, Michele (who was literally the most unhelpful person on planet earth, I think she read verbatim from a script while speaking to me). She wouldn’t help me at all with my claim and told me that I needed to pay it.
In short, I paid it and I will NOT be coming back.
