Lovely cake & cupcakes for our backyard wedding. Nice people– easy to work with!

I had my gender reveal cake done here and it was beautiful and delicious. The icing decoration was just what I had requested. The only thing that I was slightly bummed about was that I had specifically requested the cake to be ombré (either pink or blue) and the only color it had on the inside was the raspberry filling. Regardless i couldn’t have been happier with the decoration and taste.

I was told this was the best wedding cake that people had ever had! Absolutely beautiful cake ad we couldn’t have been happier. Carolyn was highly pleasant and flexible. Ten stars!

I ordered a smaller cake for us and our family and cupcakes for the guests. The product was exactly what we asked for and tasted great. When we had went for our tasting I was so excited for the experience, but they forgot. There was an event going on nearby that day which meant we had to wait as they scrambled to find somewhere for us to do our tasting. They were humble about the situation but my tasting was in a back room where drunk people were running around. All in all great product just disorganized (at least that day).

On a recommendation, my daughter and I met with Carolyn for a wedding cake testing & consultation. Immediately we felt comfortable with Carolyn and her expertise was obvious. Carolyn was professional and and warm and quite prepared for our tasting appointment. The only issue was narrowing down the options as all of the cakes, frostings & fillings were delicious. We ultimately decided on the pink champagne and the chocolate for the cake (cupcakes actually), a raspberry filling and her signature frosting WICCI (whipped cream & cream cheese I believe– to die for!).

Carolyn exceeded our expectations, making us an absolutely stunning wedding cake that was incredible delicious! She helped walk us through tasting, giving us a lot of options and suggestions while listening to our feedback to help us craft exactly what we wanted. She brought the cake for delivery herself, and helped organize and arrange our flowers to make for a beautiful presentation! Carolyn was just as sweet as her cake, and a pleasure to work with from beginning to end; you will not be disappointed!

Carolyn was amazing and exceeded our expectations. I was looking for a simple, but elegant cake and got just that. It tasted wonderful too. She set up the cake just as we discussed and I was pleasantly surprised because I saw it when I arrived with the wedding party. I will definitely recommend and use her services again!

I haven’t been to many weddings, but I have eaten a lot of cake in my day and I can say that Carolyn makes some DELICIOUS wedding cake! We ordered a 2 tier wedding cake from Carolyn for our wedding and the outcome was just gorgeous AND delicious! We ordered pink champagne cake with strawberry cream filling (OMG to die for) and we had an additional sheet cake of red velvet (also wonderful!!) for the other half of our guests. So many of our guests told us that the cake was too good! When we met with Carolyn for a free consultation and tasting, I brought her a picture of a cake on Pinterest that I had fallen in love with. She immediately starting sketching out a drawing of our cake, asking questions to make sure she understood what we wanted, and was more than happy to work with our budget. The cake turned out PERFECT and seriously just like the picture. THANK YOU Carolyn for baking us a fantastic cake, both in design and in flavor! I only wish we hadn’t eaten it all, but we definitely couldn’t resist =).

I got a scooby doo cake made for my sons 3^rd birthday. It looked amazing. And it tasted amazing. Got the red velvet cake with her signature whipped cream frosting mixed with cream cheese.

Carolyn was so sweet. I needed a small wedding cake for a private ceremony and the cake was the best I have ever had. All of my family members commented on how great the cake was.

I needed a last minute cake for my mom’s birthday. My friend recommended Carolyn, as she had done my friend’s wedding cake. I ordered the Red Velvet with the cream cheese filling, and the cream cheese whip frosting. OH my gosh. Best cake ever. It’s been several days since the party and we had some leftovers… I just had a small piece of it and it still tastes like it did Sunday. Thank you!

We booked our cake baker last since we had NO IDEA what we were looking for in a cake. Aside from cake tasting, I was dreading the process because I was clueless as to what I wanted. Lucky for us we found Carolyn! She made the process so fun and easy! We decided on the look, flavor and style of our cake and had the deposit paid in under an hour. The hardest part was choosing the flavor because all of her cakes are so good. We decided on pink champagne for the top two tiers and marble for the bottom tier. The cake was beautiful and most importantly DELICIOUS. My mother in law and I decided to get a surprise Groom’s cake for the rehearsal dinner, as well. We got chocolate and everyone loved it. We are huge A’s fans so we had Carolyn dec it out in green and gold and add the A’s logo. Weeks later we still have people asking where we got our cake from. You won’t regret choosing Carolyn.

I discovered Sweet Expectations as I was planning our daughter’s wedding! Carolyn Besse was wonderful and created a beautiful wedding cake. She was so easy to work with, and we were very pleased! The cake had the special touches we asked for, and it was delicious as well:) I also feel that the price was more reasonable than a number of the other bakeries I contacted. Carolyn and Your Sweet Expectations are great to work with. She did my wedding cake back in November 2011, and when I needed a special birthday cake for my best friend’s birthday, I knew just who to call! She made a custom cake using a drawing that I did, and she had good humor for the unusual subject matter for the design (not inappropriate, just odd).
Her cake flavors are delicious and she is a pleasure to work with. I will definitely call upon her again should some sweet treats be required.

We were referred to Your Sweet Expectations and Carolyn for our wedding cake by friends who said «you can’t go wrong». They were so right! The only hard part was choosing our flavors at the tasting, because everything was so incredibly good. We had a couple of special requests that she accommodated without hesitation, and everything came together perfectly on the day of the wedding. The cake delivery was right on time and stunningly beautiful, set up with such care. Not only beautiful, but also outrageously delicious! Went to a wedding show where there was at least 20 different cake vendors and Your Sweet Expectations was hands down the best taking cake. Every guest loved it at our wedding, it was moist and the frosting was divine! The cake was beautiful, not a flaw on it, and we’ve never had such a great tasting cake. I highly recommend the red velvet with chocolate/​raspberry filling and poppy seed with lemon filling.
