Walked in with 11 people. No problem. Service was good. The chips must be made on site they were so good. The salsa was great. I had seafood enchiladas– a mix of crab and shrimp. Very very good. Parking is easy. Don’t miss this place

We love this restaurant. Rohnert Park has so many Mexican restaurants and we have tried them all. Tonayan is the best. We eat there about once a week and are never disappointed. We just returned from 2 months in Mexico and our first day back we were at Tonayan. This is a family run business. Isidro, his wife Laura and son Carlos are almost always on the premises. We feel like members of their family by the way we are treated. The food is authentic, fresh and delicious. You won’t be disappointed!

I love this place. I have been to many mexican restaurants in my days but this one is the one that we keep going back to. The wait for your food is a little long but it is well worth it. Yesterday we were their with family, everybody loved their food. I tried the taco salad, and meatball soup and they are amazeballs. I also love how 9w their tortas are so simple but they have aton of flavor. Will be going back for sure.

Hands down — theeeeee best Mexican food in SOCO. How this restaurant can be reviewed with less than 5 stars in a county with terrible Mexican food — I have no idea. Hillbillies haven’t a clue what a find this place is. Pancho Villa used to be my staple. Toyanan’s quality and flavor of food reminds me of the quality of PV. The restaurant is clean, staff could be friendlier and location is fantastic.

Food is always good but the wait staff on Saturday was so not friendly or nice. A smile wouldn’t kill them.

Great chicken quesadilla and really good chile verde. Salsa is above average and it has a full bar with reasonably priced drinks. The staff is friendly and does their best to keep the place nice and tidy. This place has a lot of potential. My only negative feedback is that I’m always hot in this place. Might just be me, but crank up the AC!

My favorite place !!! The staff and owners are so friendly. The food is good, but the salsa… Oh my god I LOVE their salsa. It’s so fresh and delicious and with the chips still warm and perfect… I seriously can come for the chips and salsa alone. It’s also very clean and you can tell they do their best to maintain the place. The bathrooms equally suitable. Honestly I come here so often that they pretty much know my order before I reach my seat. It’s also rarely overwhelmingly crowded and the whole feel is very relaxed and chill, you can choose where you would like to sit and I love that. Definitely recommend if your in search of a new homey feel and great Mexican food !

Food is decent and reasonably priced. This is a family owned business. The staff is friendly. You see the same staff in there all the time. It’s cool because I watched their son Carlos from from a little teenager to an adult. Good menu selection. But not so much stuff that yo u can not make a decision. It’s good if you have a large group because there is plenty of seating. This location also has a FULLBAR! Always a bonus. The food can take a while depending how busy they are.

My carnitas was like, a cut up pork chop, but it was ok. The water was gross. The chips are good and thick. House margarita(the standard) was only ok. 3 stars E’ry day!

One of our favorite places, hamburgers are still the best in town. Never been disappointed with anything else we have ordered. Friday early evenings are entertaining as the bar is crowded with«motivated» customers that provide a bit of middle age humor!

I have been here several times. The first two times, the food was good but the service was lacking and I waited a long time for a water refill. Because the food was good I went back a third time. The third time I went the food(I ordered the exact same chicken taco I have had previously) was bad. The taco was soggy and honestly tasted like reheated leftovers. The chips and salsa were never refilled. However the worst part, flan. My flan was served and it was totally rotten. It even smelled like spoiled milk. The flan didn’t even look normal. It looked like a moldy sponge and there is no way that when it left the kitchen it was something that they were proud of. I told the server the flan was old and rotten and he agreed. He then told me «oh that was the last one and yes it was old». I was pretty mad and asked that it be removed from the bill and wanted to leave. It took him almost 15 mins to walk to the register and get me my bill. However the bill still charged me for the rotten flan, so he had to do it again. It was a super disappointing meal and I have never been served something that disgusting at home or at a restaurant. No apology was ever issued for the problems, I was very nice to them. For these reasons I will never go back to this place, because clearly the kitchen needs to be managed better so rotten food isn’t stored and served. Update: I went back just to be nice and give them another chance. Service was lame and slow while place was empty. Salsa was watery. Never got a water refill while I waited for one and nobody stopped by to refill. Taco was again soggy and not flavorful. This place is horrible and it’s clear they’ve given up, would not be sad to see this place go out of business.

This is the worst mexican food I have had except from a place in south Lake Tahoe. The beans were a Liquid mess with no texture or flavor, the meat in the burrito which was supposed to be chicken, tasted and looked like canned cat food. Don’t be fooled by the nice looking building.

Let me start off saying I did not eat here, I drank .I had a tequila tasting of four different top shelf tequilas for 15 $.There were two different guys serving us drinks and they were both polite and knowledgable about what they were serving, The pours were very generous being more than half a shot for a taste, A relaxed place to sample many different types of tequila.

I have been coming here for years! This is my favorite local Mexican restaurant; the staff is awesome and remembers us and our orders, always happy to see us and get us exactly what we are looking for. A hidden gem in the rayleys shopping center. Dont forget to ask for their special salsa, yum!

Came in for an appetizer and drink. I had super nachos. Good food. Good Margarita. Nice bar. They have been open in this location for a long time. It was my first time here. 3.50 happy hour margaritas is a deal

The food is ok, the drinks are cheep, the people are nice, and the atmosphere is a little old. I rate this a 3 star because it is an average place and it’s quiet.

One of our favorite local spots. Not only is the family who runs the place always friendly and provides great service but the food is amazingly reasonable with their prices. Chimichanga a la carte is like $ 3.00 and is awesome. Who can beat a better price than that. The tequila bar is by far largest bar in Rohnert park. I prefer the nachos or the el jefe plate. But I ask to sub the chile with another taco. I hear the molcajete is amazing but haven’t tried it yet. They have Spanish karaōke which gets packed from people all over the bay who travel just to come to this place. It must be good! Taco salad is bomb dot com. Be prepared to eat because the servings are HUGE! But save room for desert. Sopapillas are a great way to end the meal! Makes me wanna go back just writing this review! lol

The food is uniformly delicious, albeit different from a lot of local Mexican restaurants. And the owners and servers are friendly, attentive, and helpful. I intend to go back soon! :-)
