From chicken to beef pork and try tip sandwiches everything you order is always just perfect you can’t go wrong.

Had the fried chicken wing special. 3 nice size wings, one side and bread. The chicken was great. Coating to chicken ratio perfect. Crunchy outside. Juicy inside. Sides fabulous. Sorry they were out of peach cobbler. Will be back!

So glad to see these guys back doing what they do best. We missed them. Best BBQ in the county and a great selection of sides. Don’t forget to try their family recipe peach cobbler

Really wonderful family owned business. Me and my gf ordered a 3 meal combo and it was enough to fill the both of us. It’s more affordable than most of the other BBQ joints I been to that have popped up around town. The gentleman who served us was very kind and attentative. i felt bad because every time he came around I was stuffing my face and couldn’t talk. The only reason I give them 4 stars is because the menu could use some pictures for those that haven’t been there before. Nonethless, whenever I want some nice BBQ I will definitely be coming here.

I had read a few good reviews about Terry’s and decided that I would try it out. I was waited on by a very attentive and friendly young waiter named Ben. I ordered the seafood combo with a side of collard greens and peach cobbler. Ben informed me that the Peach Cobbler wouldn’t be ready for a couple of hours and suggested the Sweet Potato Pie. Being a big fan of SBP I took him up on the suggestion. The food arrived in short order an and it looked very good. I started with the greens and they were ok. Honestly, they could have used a little more seasoning but they were not bad. The Catfish and the Shrimp, however, were GREAT! The catfish was seasoned and cooked to perfection as was the shrimp. I would definitely go back and order them. Later the SWP came and Ben warned me that this wasn’t the normal pie so it may not be that sweet. Again, he was spot on. I took a bite and sen it back. I really appreciate his honesty and I would go back just because of him and the catfish. I am looking forward to trying the peach cobbler. I wholeheartedly recommend this place! Give it a try if you are in the area.

Great portions this is absolutely the best BBQ I’ve had in a really long time. My tri-tip was tender I could cut it with a fork. The rib were juicy flavorful and tender yet not rubbery, I can’t say enough got things abut this place. Hope you get Ben as your server he was on it refilling our drinks before they were even half empty, The BBQ sauce wasn’t spivey it didn’t hide the flavor of the meat. Cudos to Terry !!! My new favorite BBQ!!!

We just made it in time for their lunch special. We got the pork ribs which came with a corn bread muffin and a side(we chose baked beans) The food was spectacular! The ribs were smoked to perfection and the barbecue sauce(made by mr. Terry himself) was truly delicious. The environment was clean and service was very friendly as well as speedy. I’m sad that this place is not packed full of bbq lovers but know that we will definitely be back and will bring all our family and friends.

On our visit we had pork spare ribs & chicken. Sides were potato salad, baked beans & cole slaw. I didn’t notice any actual smoker, or smell wood smoke outside. Hmmm. The ribs were nicely done, with what tasted like an east Texas type of sauce. Same with the chicken. The sauce was applied a bit too heavy, but had good flavor. I also detected a fair amount of «mole sauce» taste, which was a bit strange. Decent, but not outstanding sauce. Meat portions were in line with the price, for a good value. The potato salad was a bit mushy, and didn’t have a defined flavor. not bad, but not the best I’ve had. The cole slaw was good, again not great… Baked beans were good, in a sweet sauce/base. I would rate the beans to be the best of the sides we tried. The meals also included cornbread muffins. They were like the rest of the food: good but not superb. I tend to prefer Carolina style BBQ sauce, but Terry’s «Texas style» taste was a nice change. Good, authentic BBQ is difficult to find in the region, so I hope they make it.

We had a office lunch today. Group of 8. There was plenty of room to accommodate. the family friendly environment I loved. Food was wonderful. I had the catfish lunch with greens. Cooked perfectly. Not dry and flavorful. Everyone tried something different and all of us loved our food. I’m happy we decided to try it out and will definitely be back. Love supporting our small business owners.

Fried fish, fried shrimp, french fries! Ack, fried overload! Everything was a tad over cooked. Flavor was basic. The tarter sauce was excellent! The hush puppies would’ve been good but they also, were over cooked. The corn bread muffins were dry and yes, over cooked. We asked for butter and the waitress gave us one pat… for 2 muffins and a plate full of hush puppies. We asked for more, but not even a tub of butter could’ve saved these breads. My husband had the ribs and tri tip. The tri tip was good, the ribs were not the best cut and were pretty fatty. Everything was swimming in sauce(although a tasty sauce.) Not a cozy restaurant. This is a get-your-food-and-get-out kind of place. Nice server. $ 40 lunch was a bit much for 2. If you must have BBQ and you’re needing to stay in RP, then it’s fine. But if you can choose to head out of the city, I would. That being said, they are new, so maybe we’ll go back in 6 months and see if they can cure their«over cooking» problem.

Great lunch spot! Decided to stop in to this place while walking around town for a bit. Nothing special about the décor to start off with, but the moment you walk in you are hit with the smell of smoked bbq goodness(yum!). Was greeted with a friendly«hi!» and a smile and told to sit wherever. Took our seats and immediately started to drool over the menu. Fried catfish and hush puppies? My taste buds were in heaven. We ordered two entrees, two sides and a big plate of fries to split. As we had walked in around lunch time, things started to pick up and people came in for their to go orders. Things got a bit busy, but the waiter(son of the cook/owner, maybe?) was on top of things and everyone seemed happy. Our order finally arrived … Spare ribs, tri tip, baked beans, coleslaw, cornbread, fried catfish, and fries. YUM. I’ve spent 4 years of my life living in TN, and I’ve never once tried cat fish. This fried cat fish though, absolutely delicious! If all fried cat fish was like the ones that we ordered, then I want more! Tri tip was delicious! Baked beans and cornbread were good, nothing to write home about though. Ribs were fall-off-the-bone great. And the fries? Well, you just dont get fries like that hardly anywhere anymore. Skins left on, fried to a slightly crispy perfection … I even caught myself eating up with little scrap bits. My favorite items were easily the fried catfish and fries. I could eat those for lunch every day! Overall, great food and great experience! Would definitely recommend.

Lunch has me loaded up with some real BBQ goodness! Chose the ribs(admitting it is fun to eat them, hard to cool them) and delighted with the choice. Can’t speak highly enough about the hush puppies — thanks to Ben, a nice mix of spicy and regular(so I could try each). I found I prefer the spicy, a nice kick accompaniment to the sauce on the ribs. I’ll be back. BONUS: they take AMEX so I can indulge more and share the goodness with my colleagues!

Terry’s food is even better than it was(at the old Santa Rosa Ave location years ago). The fried shrimp is amazing and the catfish is mouth watering. Very friendly staff and Mr. Terry himself was very kind and hospitable. Prices are reasonable. I will definitely be back!

We just tried this today for a Saturday lunch and we really loved it! Now, this is not beer battered fish, this is southern style, which I like so much better. The combo fried catfish/shrimp platter was spot-on, with really good sides — fries, beans, and corn muffin(you only get 2 but we ordered 2 plates). I didn’t order the fries but kept stealing them from my son and I usually don’t even eat fries. We also had the a la carte jalapeño hushpuppies for an appetizer and dipped them in tartar sauce like we used to do in Louisiana, and they tasted just like home! I was so happy. The menu is limited but just try it. If you’ve ever had great fried catfish in Louisiana, it’s the same. The ribs were also a hit with my husband.

Stopped by for Lunch and was excited to see they had just opened up. My excitement turned into a bad taste in my wallet and mouth. Ordered a Trip-Tip Sand-which. Very plain bread was awful and very plain overall. A BBQ soul food Restaurant should have a Condiment Bar or at least offerings to enhance a plain Tri-Tip Sand-which. Over priced as well $ 15 with a soda. Last time going there.

Damn good barbecue. The sauce is authentic. Better than Lombardis. If the other barbecue items are as good as the ribs, I’m all in. I’ll be back for sure. Nothing fancy; just good

Driving by this place tought Yesss! Finally a soul food place eeerrrr wrong! Got the rib dinner payed 17 dollars for ribs and two sides to go when I got home one of my sides was missing! That’s not what bothered me the ribs were dry and the bbq sauce was too much like a mild mole ekkk. The fries were not fried all the way über disappointed! I don’t think I’ll be back not worth the money!

I’ve been waiting a long time for this moment — A soul food joint where I can get my fried catfish and ribs, without having to make it myself. This is one of the newest locations of the Terry Family, having locations in Santa Rosa in the past. It is nice to see the legacy continue. On my return I had the Seafood Combination plate, which had fried catfish, fried shrimp, a side and bread. I chose collard greens for my side and cornbread muffin for my bread. I sprung for a side of hushpuppies(who wouldn’t!). The greens are awesome. Wonderful savory flavor with just a slight sweet finish, which I really like. The catfish was well seasoned and so was the shrimp. I personally would have loved to see more of it on the plate, but good nonetheless. If you are seeking soul food this is the place to go. Check it out.

Went here today, got a 3 combo plate with hotlinks, pork ribs and fried catfish, with baked beans, potato salad and hush puppies. It was excellent, authentic BBQ. I am excited because there aren’t too many BBQ places in RP, let alone Sonoma County. BBQ can be pretty expensive but it all seemed reasonably priced. The hotlinks were very good, not too spicy. Pork ribs were fall off the bone, I personally am not too big a fan of catfish, but my wife loved it. Hush puppies were delicious as well as the baked beans and potato salad. We will definitely be coming back to try more soon.
