I can’t believe how amazing the food at this hotel was. We stayed the night and I’m so glad we stayed in to eat. My 2 year old loved his pasta. The bacon cheeseburger was amazing, and also the cheese steak sandwich. Serious perfection.

Good for big parties. Pretty expensive. Food was ok. It was pretty basic. We got a buffet for $ 17. They had eggs, pastries, juices, sausage and bacon, french toast, cereal, yogurt and oatmeal. So lots to choose from. The kids buffet price was $ 10, so that was not too bad.

Really great service and seating area, but everything else is not up to par, especially the food: I ordered the eggs freestyle dish; sunny side up, with bacon, and potatoes: The eggs are almost not cooked(the egg white was still very watery), and the potatoes had literally no taste. Even the bacon was tasteless! How can that be?! Well, anyway, my recommendation: eat somewhere else!

Stopped in for a drink, heard they made a really good blueberry mojito. The bar/restaurant is inside the main hotel off to the right hand side. We were greeted and informed that they no longer had that on the menu but they would whip something up. What was supposed to be a blueberry mojito ended up being a very strong regular mojito. Service was ok, pretty friendly but could have been better. Needless to say we went a little down the road to Mary’s Pizza Shack where they make an amazing raspberry mojito. That is all we had but other things may be good, we didn’t stick around to find out. They do have a cheap happy hour menu.

My husband and I just stayed at the Doubletree for 4 nights, and we ate here 5 times — 1 dinner, 4 breakfasts. Dinner is just barely 3 stars — I had a salad with cranberries, carrots, and fehnel, it was average. My husband had the seasonal pasta which he enjoyed, but there wasn’t a lot of it. Breakfasts were very good — a solid 4 stars! I ordered off the menu one morning — breakfast rice pudding(a huge serving, lightly sweet) — and the rest of the days we had the continental breakfast buffet. Everything was great, especially the steel cut oatmeal. $ 13.50 was a bit pricey but I was still pleased.

Nice people. Good service. I really wanted to give them a better review but … the WORST fish and chips I have ever had in my life. the«chips» were actually skinny fries and good but the fish was dry, chewy and rubbery. This restaurant is located in a hotel I stay at for business travel. Now I know why it is never particularly crowded. I’ll give it another shot because I really want to like it but fish and chips are pretty simple.

Just a salad: A business colleague ordered for me ahead of time, so I’m not sure the name of the salad. It was frisée lettuce with onions, tomatoes and avocado, but I was missing my protein. This was no fault of the restaurant, because I did tell my colleague«just a salad with lots of veggies.» Smiles in abundance: Staff was very friendly with lots of smiles. Walk this way: Most of the restaurant is a casual look. The other part of the restaurant is elegant in front of a fireplace. If given an option, ask to be seated near the fireplace. Awkward part is the walkway from the lobby to the banquet facilities walks right through the restaurant.

«Good Food, Great Bartender ! « My wife and I stayed for three nights at the Double Tree Hilton Sonoma Wine Country Hotel. We ate at the Bacchus Restaurant & Wine Bar all 3 nights. We loved the super friendly and great Bar Tender Jessica, as she made our stay in the Bar area a great one. We had the Chorizo Sausage Flatbread with crumbled goat cheese, spanish chorizo, and arugala. It was Delicious ! We also enjoyed the Loaded Smashed Potato Fries with Melted cheddar, bacon, and horseradish cream. It was Very different and Very good ! We also when for breakfast and had the Breakfast Rice Pudding with Fuji apples, almonds, warm brown rice and brown sugar. It was Fantastic ! The Bacchus Restaurant is a must visit if you are in Rohnert Park, CA.

I stayed at the Doubletree for 7 days and 6 nights for a training that was held in the hotel. On my first night, I needed just a small bite to eat. I encountered three staff members, all of whom were friendly. I ordered the chorizo flatbread with the promise to order more if I was still hungry. I thought it was a lovely presentation. The dish was described as having«goat cheese crumbles.» The execution was a thick smear of goat cheese all over the bread that unbalanced the entire dish. They refer to it as «chorizo flatbread.» I’m not sure how they can call it that with 5 razor thin slices of chorizo as garnish. It should have been called arugula goat cheese flatbread topped with chorizo. The server was very nice and offered to bring me something else. It was getting late and I wanted to get to my room so I ate as much as I could(which wasn’t much) and got ready to leave. The server gave me a discount that I was neither expecting nor asked for. I appreciated that. The second time I went by was to grab some breakfast. The training I was at provided fruit and pastry but that’s all carbs. I require protein. The server came to me and dropped the salt shaker on the floor. She put it right back on the table. Hmmmm. I ordered two eggs and a side order of pork. The server explained to me why I should order the breakfast plate which had what I wanted plus toast and potatoes(the carbs I wasn’t interested in eating). When I explained that to her she became annoyed. Then things got comical. She brought the bill, I set out $ 100 bill, she took it away. She brought back five $ 20 bills. She could have taken what I owed her but she decided to make a second trip for both of us. Nice. I had two more meals there and the service was really good — once for dinner and once for breakfast. The eggs, bacon, and sausage I ate over the course of two days were okay. The braised short ribs I ate for dinner was the best meal I had there. The short ribs were braised well, and fork tender. The root veggies they served with it were not great. Overall, if you’re staying at the Doubletree and don’t have a car, this is a good place to eat. If you can walk or find some other mode of transportation, I’d eat elsewhere.

I stay here often for work and I’ve eaten almost every item on the menu. Try these: Breakfast buffet(chef will do omlets too), Salmon Romesco, Shrimp cocktail, Mediterranean plate, Flatbread pizza, Petaluma Chicken or the Salumi board. They will also add the salmon or chicken to one of their salads or even to the roasted cauliflower dish. Avoid the Portobello turkey burger; it’s really awful. Staff is friendly. Outside patio during warm weather; sit by the fireplace on rainy nights.

Poor service. Tasteless meals. OK ambience. Got the Chicken Lemon something soup. It comes with two baguettes with a side of broth and large chunks of carrots. Nothing special in my opinion. I was expecting something a little more fresh and somewhat hearty. The soup was really just OK. If it weren’t for the large chunk of vegetables, I probably would have sent it back. They throw shredded chicken in there which made it messy to eat. I also finished my friends crème brûlée which wasn’t worth ordering.

Went here for breakfast after staying a night at the hotel. We had the choice of the buffet or menu… we chose the buffet. Everything was good, not great but better than average. The potatoes and bacon were amazing. The eggs kind of sucked… you could tell they don’t use real eggs, probably just carton mix or something. It was a little overpriced too. 17.00 a person, plus a server comes to bring u condiments so u have to tip them too. Next time, I’ll just go to a delicious breakfast spot in rohnert park and get my money’s worth!

Warning: breakfast buffet is TOO expensive. The only thing that sets it apart from any other typical breakfast spread is the fact that they have an omelet bar… But so what? I say $ 16.50 per person is ridiculous. I’ve been to other hotels less fancy than the Double Tree in Rohnert Park that have had a complimentary breakfast that is just as good as this one. If you’re willing to fork out the dough, you do get some pleasant breakfast options – scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, pastries, fresh fruit, oatmeal, granola, yogurt, and so forth. But everything is easily forgettable. Nothing worth $ 16.50 at least. My boyfriend’s omelette took forever, so he found himself standing there while I sat alone at our table for a significant amount of time. Service was incredibly slow, which was irritating since we didn’t order anything from their menu for a reason. We opted for the buffet because we thought it would be faster… We were so wrong. I saw at least 5 servers walking around, but it took half an hour for ours to give us the check, and then at least another 10 minutes to get it back. I asked our server to split the check, but she came back with one. I tried to make it more simple for her by charging half our check to the room, but she gave me an attitude(as if I was stupid and just should’ve asked to have it split to begin with) and ended up going back and splitting the check for us anyway. If the service had been a smidge better than the food, I would have given this place one more star. Seriously, I shouldn’t have to BEG for my server’s attention. Honestly, your best bet would be to order off of the a la carte menu or find a better breakfast spot in town. Unless they work on expanding their breakfast buffet or lowered the price, I probably won’t set foot in this restaurant again – for breakfast, lunch, OR dinner. Not sure what their lunch and dinner menu is like, but I’m not interested in finding out.

We came to Bacchus, well, because we had a gift card. Let’s be real here. We probably would have never eaten here if it wasn’t for that. My husband and I arrived at around 6PM on a Saturday night. The place was absolutely empty and they seated us in the front area which, honestly, felt like we were sitting in a large open hotel lobby. Which it was. Guests were coming and going and it was super uncomfortable sitting there eating our meal. We each ordered a glass of wine which came promptly. We got the artichoke and calamari fritto and the calamari were like rubber bands. My husband made eye contact with our waitress about four different times and finally had to physically flag her down for a second drink. We each got the flat iron steaks which were cooked to order, but the presentation on both of our plates as well as the appetizer was sloppy. My husband stated that our plates looked akin to airline food, if that let’s you know how appetizing it looked. This led me to feel like the chef could care less about the food he/she was putting out. Our steaks arrived with about a ¼ cup slab of ice cold butter on top of them that was not flavored well and honestly cooled down the rest of my food. The macaroni and cheese was the highlight of the meal. It was creamy and flavorful, but as I said there was cheese sauce all over the cast iron skillet that it was served in. Just sloppy. Our waitress must have gone on break halfway through our meal(though she didn’t say anything) as we had a different one for the last 2/3rds of our meal. We will not return to Bacchus. It is a shame that in Sonoma county where good food is so bountiful that many tourists will end up eating here and think that it is the best that our county has to offer. I hope that Bacchus steps up their service and food in the future because they have a beautiful central location in Rohnert Park. It seems they chose to live up to the stereotype of bland hotel food which is, as I said, a shame.

We had a free breakfast/brunch here included with the hotel room. The reviews in the past have been mixed, but it was much better than most other complimentary hotel breakfasts I’ve had. The cold section had regular yogurt, greek yogurt, various melons, oranges, apples, and fresh pineapples. There was also a cereal bar and then an oatmeal bar with all the essentials(walnuts, brown sugar, raisins, etc). The bakery section had various muffins, pound cakes, croissants, bagels. The heated trays had a nicely grilled canadian bacon, regular bacon, scrambled eggs, potatoes, and cinnamon buns. I’m a big fan of omelette bars, so I was happy to see they had one. They had the usual ingredients, and you can mix your own selection in a bowl and hand it to the chef, who will then whip up an omelette for you. My egg white one was super fluffy and was cooked just right. I think they also had crepes, but I didn’t try one. Overall, I thought it was really nice considering it came with our stay. Everything was fresh. Service was very friendly, coffee and juices are included. I added on a glass of champagne for $ 10. The vouchers take care of your non-alcoholic beverages and food.

Beautiful place, gorgeous delicious food. Too bad we had to fight for toast, needed a sieve to get the grounds out of our coffee, and to get anyone’s attention it took an act of congress. Google copy cat recipes and save the trauma of fighting your way through!

I have expected much more from a restaurant in the Double Tree. The breakfast was mediocre at best — bacon so overcooked that I mistook it at first for a piece of plastic spoon that fell on my plate. It tasted a bit like plastic too, so you can understand my mistake. Bacon being overcooked, I was expecting a similar fate with the fried egg. Fortunately, the egg was undercooked and instead of fried egg it was a wobbly egg. The whole breakfast was edible, but any greasy spoon can serve you breakfast much better for much less.

We tried Bacchus a little later in the evening on Saturday, and my only complaint is that they closed at 10pm. So plan accordingly if you’re only going for drinks like we did. Paul, the bartender, was really nice. He was friendly without being obnoxious — always had something funny to say at the right time and left us alone when we wanted it. He made us each a pear martini, which was super tasty and dangerously didn’t taste at all like alcohol. We also had some good house-made BBQ chips that were really crispy and thick. Also, the prices were pretty reasonable. I wouldn’t say it’s a destination, but if you live nearby, it’s definitely worth a shot.

Stayed at the DoubleTree here for a work function and we had a nice meal at Bracchus. It was a Wednesday night and at 6:30 pm they were out of the pork chops, so that was a bummer. I had a good salmon dish. They had okay service. It was pretty much just alright. With a table like ours that had appetizers, lots of wine, spirits, and entrees you would think that they would have been more attentive on a weeknight, but not so much. 5 stars for the girl working at the giftshop coffee stand– she was awesome!

4 ½ Stars I’ve been a Rohnert Park local forever and have tried this hotel restaurant ages ago when it was a Red Lion Hotel and also after it became a DoubleTree Hotel. The DoubleTree has evolved over the years and so has its restaurant now called Bacchus. I am impressed with the current Upscale setting and ambiance that Bacchus presents, especially for Rohnert Park. It is easily the nicest restaurant in the city since the Latitude restaurant is gone. It has been years since I’ve had dinner or lunch at Bacchus, but I did have breakfast today there. Breakfast is actually very important to me experientially and I’ve eaten at literally every breakfast place in the entire area multiple times. I have to say that Bacchus is probably the best breakfast place around here! I came in just after 11:00am when they end breakfast, but they seated me and served me breakfast anyway, that was very nice of them. The person who first helped me was Sarah and she turned out to be the Food & Beverage Supervisor for the hotel & restaurant. The best way for me to determine how good a breakfast is to first order the«vanilla» items like, eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, juice, tea and/or coffee. I have to say that every single one of these items were prepared and cooked to Perfection! I had a fabulous breakfast! The best in the Rohnert Park, Cotati, Sebastopol area! The only reason that I am not giving Bacchus(for breakfast) 5 stars is because my server Christine was not as warm and friendly as a server should be in a nice restaurant like Bacchus. Christine was very efficient and attentive, but also she appeared«appropriate» which means professional but a little distant. I can tell Christine was a nice person, but I am writing a critique here. A five star dining experience for me includes a wonderful interaction, no matter how fleeting, with my server. I did however have a very wonderful interaction with Sarah, the supervisor at Bacchus, and told her how pleased I was with the upscale décor, furnishings and delicious food! Sarah was quite warm, friendly was willing to be engaging during our short conversation. Sarah left me with a gift from the hotel and restaurant, a lovely tin of home made chocolate chip cookies! Thank You very much, Sarah! I rate Bacchus for breakfast with a solid 4 ½ stars and I have no doubt that they are capable of consistent 5 star experiences if/when the servers receive a small amount of interpersonal communication/interaction training(I am not talking about Sarah). Thank You Sarah and Bacchus for a wonderful breakfast today! Review 0032
