Tilda’s Bake Shop

Good bakery, probably a 4 star bakery based on their goods, but the staff needs to be trained. Got cookies some Napoleons and a couple of other things, all were very good and I would come back again, but seriously, train the staff.

When you walk in the doors you are immediately hit with an enticing smell which can put foodies into a food coma. By far the best bakery in Suffolk County.

5 Stars cause for a Eastern Long Island Bakery, you got great Cannoli’s, Cheese Cakes, Napoleons, etc. It’s not NYC great bakeries of all kind of backgrounds. But for a small and very popular place, credit is do.

Good local bakery with all the standard baked goods. There are several types of cakes, cheesecakes and breads and from what I ate, all were very good.
The only negative is that the line can be long, especially on weekend mornings but that just shows how much people are willing to wait for quality.

This place is awesome. I had them make a specialty item and it came out amazing. The taste was out of this world and Jon the baker was such a huge help. I spoke to him over the phone for about 45 minutes discussing my vision. Well, when I ever went to pick up my pastries they were perfect. He did such a great job. Thank you Jon.

When I got together with my husband and some of his friends to geek out with a star wars pen & paper role playing game we decided to have a pot luck dinner. The game manager got two pies from here for dessert.
The pies were okay. The apples in the apple pie had a cinnamon flavor to them, the crust reminded me of an apple pie from the grocery store though.
The chocolate crème pie was okay too. I liked the pudding but the whipped cream was just okay and I felt like there wasn’t a great balance between the ratio of whipped cream and chocolate pudding.
Not a bad bakery but I wouldn’t say it was extraordinary or spectacularly yummy.

I’ve been here numerous times since it’s a close by bakery in town and it doesn’t disappoint. They have plenty cakes, cookies and pastries. Always fresh and clean.

i think its the very best bake shop around we love everything we had so far. the only thing we donot like is the service they are a little slow.

My daughter joined Marines and i had then make cake for her and what great job they did. i supplied the Marines symbol for top and it was a great chocolate cake.

Cannot say enough great things about this bakery! Their cake for our party this past weekend exceeded my expectations– it was both beautiful and delicious! Their pastries and cookies are amazing too. When I found out from a previous reviewer that they donate to the homeless, that makes me like them even more!
The one girl who gave the review below me missed out! Clearly a diva judging by the things she got annoyed with. Sorry but that review made me laugh. Tildas is awesome and my new favorite bakery!!!

I saw the great reviews on here and decided to give this place a try as a possibility for my wedding cake. I walked in on a Saturday afternoon and there were no other customers. I proceeded to walk up to the counter and ask the girl if they offered wedding cake tastings. She looked at me like I had 3 heads.
She went and talked to someone else, came back to me and said ‘Yes’. Then just looked at me. I then said, «Can I set one up?». She asked when I wanted to do it and I asked well, what days do you offer it. Now, I had never been here before and so far was treated like I should have known all this information.
A few other customers walk in at this point and there are three people behind the counter. Still, only this girl is interacting with anyone and right now it’s with me. She then hands me a menu and says ‘Just tell me what you want to try’ and stands there with a pad of paper. Not a great way to make me feel happy and confident. What is supposed to be a joyous planning event is turning into something where i feel rushed and in not so capable hands. She also tells me she doesn’t know anything about this kind of thing and she keeps asking someone else behind the counter, that person doesn’t apparently want to come speak to me directly.
In the end I just left. I put the paper down, said no thanks, and left. I then drove to another bakery where I was welcomed and was told about all the items they offer and ways they can customize things for my big day. I’m sure the food here is amazing but the staff caused me to leave and look elsewhere. Bad experience and I wouldn’t recommend based on that alone.

They donate all of the left over bread to the homeless. Heart them! It doesn’t hurt that the mini cheese cakes are to die for.

Tilda’s has been around forever & everyone I know uses them. Very professional, high quality & popular for wedding cakes.

If I need Italian pastries in East Setauket, nothing comes to mind. We had a BBQ this weekend and I went to Tildas in Rocky Point for a box of love.
Mini cannolis that are fresh, cream puffs that are puffy with sweet cream and the best cakes in town.
I bought a «Yodel» cake that was just outstanding! This cake was straight out of the seventies. Yum, everytime we come here everything is fresh.
I’m a fan!

What wonderful pastries they have! My mother-​in-​law gets me a box of the miniature pastries for every special occasion, it’s the greatest present ever! I only know this place because of that, but they are so good that I ask for Tilda’s every time I see her!
I definitely recommend getting some bakery love from Tilda’s — you won’t regret it!

I always loved Tilda’s pastry’s and crumb cakes!
If you remember when the sugar bowl was next door then you remember Tilda baking it fresh and the sweet rolls on the back shelf.
Still the best cakes around! Order you special occasion cake at Tilda’s I am never disappointed!
