Great place in summer and spring in their courtyard dinning area. Food has always been good and staff always attentive and friendly

Just had a slice of cheese pizza, which is the ultimate litmus test for any pizzeria. It was definitely five stars amazing.

Just awful! Week old roadkill chicken, screwed up my order-used to be a fan of this place. Maybe née owners, whatever it is unedible! Too many other pizzerias around here to go back to sub par food!

Just a little above basic pizzeria food. This place use to have a great chief and we loved going there. Now the owner sits there in gym shorts and a Tshirt. The night we went was a Friday night at 630pm and the place was empty. The young waiter we had was very nice. We always loved sitting outside when we use to go there. We asked and they looked shocked. They took us out side and the outside eating area was dirty and not ready for us. What a disappointment. This was a favorite place for us.

Friendly staff, great food, and prices. I would highly recommend Caruso’s for adults and families with children.

This place confuses me. The food is good but the service is so sllloooow. Very out dated inside. I usually go with my parents when they have a Groupon. Huge portions but its basic itlaian fare. Things swimming in sauce, a little greasy etc. Noticed parents letting their kids run around and put their hands in the bowl of cheese that waiters would bring to the tables. Not the restaurants fault but still an awk experience. Very weird sound track was playing. Christmas music during the summer, Britney spears on repeat. Its just a very confusing place.

Was there two weeks ago at lunch. Food, service all excellent. We were in a rush and the server was very attentive to make sure we got out on time. Food was fresh, warm and tasty. Had Chicken dish with whole wheat pasta.

I stopped into Caruso’s in July for a home-cooked Italian meal because I had heard they serve good food. First of all, the fried calamari was terrible. It was greasy and had no flavor. I ordered grilled vegetables and what I got mushy, overcooked vegetables with a lot of grease and nothing more. I think the hint should have been when I saw piles and piles of pizza boxes all over the restaurant, all of them laying on the floor, close to the front door which brings in a lot of dirt, where people sit, and where people stand to order food. Not so healthy! I posted this once before but it seems somebody deleted it so, sorry, here I am again.

I don’t usually post negative reviews, but I am UTTERLY shocked anyone could even mention the pizza at Caruso’s in a 5 star review, or 4, or even 3 star. «Mediocre» is without question the only way to describe Caruso’s Pizzeria. I’ve been there about 6 or 7 times since it changed from Alfie’s to Caruso’s, and time and time again, it’s just outright bad — not standard, not«nothing special»; I mean BAD. Which is hard to comprehend, since they have such a fantastic brick oven in house, AND they(at least used to) own the Italian specialty deli *right next door.* The sauce is lacking in flavor, the cheese is mediocre, and it overall just isn’t prepared well at all. If you’re craving pizza, frankly, you’d be better off at a fast food chain. The only reason I give Caruso’s 2 stars instead of 1 is because I haven’t been to their restaurant(if they can’t get pizza right, you think I’m going to pay double to try their risotto or fish?). But giving them, neutrally, the benefit of the doubt of a middle-of-the-road restaurant, we average to 2. Fair enough.

Always amazing, always delicious. Excellent quality pizza, as well as great homemade dishes in the table service section. The dessert specials are also very yummy. They usually experiment with different desserts daily, and none have disappointed yet.

The food was good, not great. The prices were a little higher than similar places nearby. The service was the worst I’ve experienced in at least a decade. The waitress was pretty much completely indifferent to us. It took forever to order our food, she didn’t come back to see if anyone needed refills on drinks. The meals came out piecemeal, with the last dish not being served until the people who were served first were finished. We were not lingering but she didn’t get around to asking us if we wanted coffee or dessert until 2HOURS after we first sat down. Bottom line– there are much better Italian places within 15 minutes of this place.

The lunch menu here is phenomenal: Cheap and delicious Italian food. I always leave full and happy! I’m a big fan of their penne ala vodka!

After a long day of shopping and visiting old haunts, we stopped into Caruso’s for the first time. What a wonderful surprise. Our waiter was very friendly and informative and since it was early for a Saturday we picked our table. Started with very delicious house baked focaccia bread, light and crispy crust. We ordered the pizzette as a started not realizing how large it would be. Very delicious. The waiter boxed it up for us and kept it in the kitchen till we were done so we could bring it home. We ordered their family style mean, a great value. Caesar salad with great light croutons, rigatoni bolonese and Sunday gravy with meatball, braccole, and sausage all tender and delicious. The finale was a huge ice cream Sunday. Would return again if in the are.

Great $ 10 lunches. Order the shrimp with risotto. Amazing. Also the pasta with sausage and beans. Great. The service is always great, smiles and helpful. Genuinely interested in your experience. The pizza in the pizza parlor is good too. We come from wading river for their pie.

Liquor license now back, food as good as ever. Waitstaff did turn over, with some loss of experience, but still warm and friendly. Manager is welcoming and ever-present. Outdoor area in back is wonderful, makes you think of Italy; if you’re there on a warm summer evening ask to sit outside. Still best deal in area, and their fish dishes(go for specials) are outstanding. I’ve eaten at Michelin 3-star restaurants, and the seafood quality here is not far off. This is a hidden gem and should be more popular.
