I come here to see Bekka and I highly recommend her! She can nail whatever color you’re looking for and is so friendly! I live in Irving but drive 45 minutes just to get my hair done by Bekka. All of the staff are super friendly and accommodating. They’ll make you coffee or tea while you wait for your color to set and even occasionally have donuts!

I come in & see Becca to get a blond ombré done on my thin brown hair, & she has done an excellent job at not frying my very thin hair. I pay about $ 100 before tip, for my color & cut. The only downside about this place is this it is very difficult to get through & actually make an appointment because I don’t believe they have a receptionist, so you do have to keep calling at different times & hope you get through.

I have never been to mirror-mirror hair studio… simply because I can’t even get through to speak to a receptionist. The first time I called someone answered«hello?» in a rude tone and then hung up immediately. I tried again, someone picked up and hung up right away. Needless to say, I won’t be going there.

Rebekah is the go to girl for color. I’ve had a full set of highlights done by her plenty of times as well as root retouches — and they have always met up to my likings! Speed is fast but not as if you’re being rushed out and she’s always able to accommodate to my schedule. Considering that I also have asian hair, which is generally the hardest to go from black to blonde, she did it with no problems. Cutting may not be her forte, but I’ve only gotten trims from her that weren’t amazing but not terrible either. If you’re looking for a home to get your hair colored by a talented artist in the Rockwall area, please go see her! You won’t be disappointed.

I recommend never EVER going there. The staff was seemingly nice, but completely incompetent. Horrible Horrible Horrible! I called the salon a week prior to confirm the salon had stylists capable to provide the service I was seeking(dying my hair a vibrant burgundy with a violet base/undertone w/o damaging it with bleach, turning it black or a brassy color). I spoke first to the receptionist to CLEARLY define the service I wanted &EXACTLY the color I did not want. I was then passed on to a stylist, Gina, who apparently had the knowledge to confirm if it was possible to get my hair the color I wanted w/o damaging it & w/o turning it black or a brassy copper color. The answer was yes over & over again. My appointment was made at that point with a different stylist, & the receptionist stated I would just have to let the stylist know the service I am expecting to receive as well as my concerns the day of my appointment & everything will be fine. I then go into the salon & again CLEARLY define the color I want AGAIN with great specificity to my stylist, Krystal i.e. «I would like my hair a vibrant burgundy with a violet base/undertone w/o using bleach, & what I do not want & am afraid of is my hair to be any darker than it is now, especially NOT a black color with a tinge of burgundy in the right sunlight. I also do not want that copper, brassy, orangey color in my hair at all.» I explained specifically what I wanted & reiterated the fact that everyone continued to say it was possible w/o bleaching. I wanted to be certain we were not bleaching my hair & voice EXACTLY what I want & the color I don’t want… along with all of my concerns of how other stylists tend to go TOO dark & use chemicals that damage my hair. My stylist, Krystal also stated it would be no problem at all. After her first attempt, my hair was pitch-black. I held back the tears as she apologized repeatedly. I stated that this was exactly what I DIDNOT want & was afraid of. She apologized again & again. I was asked to pay now & make a second trip to the salon the following morning because she of her terrible mistake & the fact that new problems arise with such a dark color. With my hair black it makes its now harder to achieve what I was expecting let alone w/o damaging my hair. It was a lose-lose situation. Giving her the benefit of the doubt & assuming she could still salvage something, I agreed to pay now & return tomorrow as long as she was certain she could provide the service I am paying for, otherwise I am not paying for a service I did not receive. I went back, for yet again, another FAILED attempt. After I came back in she tells me we have no choice but to use bleach & strip my hair. I was horrified. If she had been honest after her first mistake, I would have left immediately w/o paying the first time & dealt with the miserable black hair & not be in the current situation. I told her that the ENTIRE reason I came to this salon is because I was told it had experienced stylists capable of providing the service I was seeking WITHOUT bleach. I decided against bleaching my entire head & opted for some low lights minimizing damage to my hair. However, at this point I am extremely upset since I would not be getting the all-over color I wanted. But thought, at least I would get some highlights of burgundy & hopefully it would lighten up this super dark hair of mine(still, this was a last resort since she messed up & was NOT what I originally wanted). The second time was again nowhere close to the color I wanted & a completely different result from the all over color I originally asked for. The stylist again apologized several times & consulted with another nearby stylist on how she could get this right. She was ready for round three when I finally had enough! Unfortunately for me, I didn’t have the luxury of spending my day sitting at the salon playing Russian roulette with my hair. Either she could do it or she can’t. I was only in town for business & leaving that day, I was out of time, completely frustrated & ultimately left after leaving her a $ 10 cash tip for her time. I asked to speak with a manager or the owner none of which were there. I asked if they could contact one. They chose not to try & contact either one. At that point, I explained to the stylist as well as the receptionist that this is the second time she has messed up my hair & that I am not going for round three, & honestly couldn’t even if I wanted to as I was leaving town immediately after my appt which she also knew. I felt taken advantage of. No amount of apologies can fix my hair now. I explained that I would not be paying for a service I did not receive & how I was completely inconvenienced because of her drastic mistake. I had to come out second time to the salon & waste my time & gas. Now that she dyed my hair so insanely dark, I will not have the chance to get the color I wanted w/o bleach until it grows out. BEWARE!
