Jour Salon and Spa

My stylist is Victoria and she is the most amazing stylist ever. I wanted something different and vibrant in color. She helped with putting teal In my hair, which I LOVED! Victoria is the sweetest person and lord only knows how she keeps all the secrets she hears from her clients. I used to skip around from person to person to have my hair done. But now that I actually have found someone (Victoria) that actually makes my hair beautiful I will always return to her.

I’ve been for bikini waxing a few times now, enough to say that my experience must be the norm. The entire experience takes too long because there is too much talking and, I’m sorry, I just don’t want to listen to the personal opinions of the technician when I’m in a compromising position. I am also very sore the next day because the technician kept going over the same spots over and over saying my hair was «stubborn,» I’ve since found out this is a no-​no and big cause for irritation and infection following a wax down there. She also took a lot more area than I asked for and, having extra sensitive skin, I wasn’t a happy camper, but she then had to «even it out.» The prices are good but with the above issues I don’t think I will return.

Love Jour Salon and Spa! My sister and I went there yesterday for a facial and massage! Shannon was able to accommodate us at last minute which was a blessing in disguise. She sat us up with Cathy (facial) and Carolyn (massage). Let me say this, both women were amazing! The minute we walked in we felt very welcomed. We will both be clients forever! Thank you Shannon, Cathy, and Carolyn!!!

Great eye brow wax and PAINLESS. She pays attention to shaping and doesn’t wax the top and bottom without thinking. Worth it. I never get red or irritated when Kathy does mine.

BY FAR, the best eyelash extensions I have ever had. The technician was super friendly and I received the most amazing full set of eyelashes I have ever had. The price was reasonable and the service was beyond compare (I have tried three other salons for eyelash extensions fills and no other salon can compare! See below.)
The only problem I had at Jour was that when I got my full set of extensions, I called back to make an appointment to get my eyelashes filled 2 – 3 weeks later (which is a requirement to keep your eyelashes looking good). I was told that the only eyelash technician they had was out of the country for at least a month! YIKES! So, I had to go elsewhere to get fills and the other salon didn’t do a very good job. That was a bummer since I paid quite a bit for a full set (still reasonable for our area I must say) and had no idea when I got them that I wouldn’t be able to get them filled 2 – 3 weeks later!
So, fast forward several months. I let my eyelashes grow out and again called to get another full set put on at Jour because they were just that fabulous. Again, the technician was super friendly and the results were FABULOUS. I was so excited! But then guess what happened? I called back to make an appointment for an eyelash fill 2 – 3 weeks later and again, the technician was out of town and I couldn’t get in for another 2 – 3 weeks for a fill. I ended up having to go somewhere else… again. Such a bummer! I finally had to give up. I love Jour but I couldn’t pay for a full set and then go elsewhere for fills all the time.
Unfortunately, as good as the tech was at doing eyelash extensions, I was always going elsewhere for a fill so I ended up having to find someone else to do my extensions. Overall, I would recommend Jour for eyelash extensions 100% but I would make sure that the tech will be available for fill appointments BEFORE you go in for a full set.

I got a pedicure, massage and a Brazilian wax. I loved the massage, it was awesome. The pedicure was good, they had a ver limited number of colors and I asked for just the white tips and she said she couldn’t do them. No biggy I just got pink. The wax wasn’t bad, the only thing that weirded me out was the same lady who did my pedicure did my waxing and she didn’t wash her hands before she started waxing. She also didn’t wear gloves. I will go back for a massage for sure, probably not for waxing though.
The salon is very nice and quiet and is decorated so pretty.

Michelle is THE BEST hair stylist. The salon is a house turned into a salon, but nice. I highly recommend it.

I followed my hair stylist to this salon. At the time of my last visit in early 2010, Most of the staff lacks a friendly, polite attitude. Parking is usually a nightmare. The place is nicely decorated, one plus.
I quit going to this salon because the lady I was using was always at least 20 minutes late, then it was 30, then 45, once an hour then one day she forgot the appointment and was rude as if it were my fault. After acting as though they were put out, the staff did talk another lady into keeping my appointment so that I didn’t have to come back. The result was not what I wanted. I wanted med. brown with golden highlights and what I got was more reddish brown, even after telling her my hair always tends to lean more on the red side. The highlights were not golden they were very very blonde, and perhaps that was due to her spending a great deal of time talking to her co-​workers, rather than watching how her clients hair was developing.
There are a few ladies that do a good job. One lady is named Cris I believe. She’s a white, approximately 30 years old, thin, approximately 5′ tall lady, has short black hair and tattoos. She is in the same area as the lady I used and her cuts and color ALWAYS looked good.
If you want snooty staff and spend a great deal of time in your chair, this is a good place to go. What took my ex hairdresser FOUR and a HALF hours takes the lady I use in McKinney 2 hours. That is a cut, color, highlights, wash and style.

I only went to Jour because I will follow my stylist anywhere but it is nice and the staff is friendly. The parking and location is a little complicated though, so I’m glad I won’t be going back since my girl was forced to quit because of a crazy situation. Also, I would suggest getting a facial somewhere else, bad experience with that.
