VB Nails got bought out last year and now has new owners and a new name. Annie is now at Mango salon, close to downtown Rockville.

Does ANYONE know where Annie works now? Apparently she doesn’t work here anymore and she is the ONLY reason why I ever went to VB and now I can’t find her. :’( If anyone knows, could you PLEASE let me know??! Thanks!

I have been going to VB Nails for almost 5 years now. I see Annie every time I go for my pink & white fill ins and eyebrow waxing. She is so nice, always remembers me, asks me about my family, etc. She did my nails, eyebrows and toenails for my wedding last year and they were perfect. I would recommend her to anyone :)

Uh, no. No way. The sign on the door says they open at 9am on Saturdays. I got there at 10:45am, after calling a few times to try and schedule an appointment to no avail, and the place was dark but the front door was unlocked. I walked in and there was a woman braiding someone’s hair behind a privacy screen and she rudely told me that no one was there. I asked when they really open and she said she didn’t know, maybe 10am. I asked why it says 9am on the door, she said no one was there! Uh, ok. So I said, thanks for the hot tip and left. Hey VB, figure it out. If you can’t open on time on Saturdays, maybe you need a good reality check. Another reviewer called this place a «hole in the wall». I don’t think that’s what you should be looking for in a nail salon. Just sayin…

If I could rate this salon a negative 5 I would. I asked about getting a gel manicure with some length. I’m used to calgel. The owner suggested I add tips to my nail and add gel over that. It sounded weird but she’s the professional. She also said that she does this all the time. Well first It took me FIVE hours to get a gel MANICURE because they have no staff. Then I get home and three of my nails start peeling and break. I returned the next day to have them rectify the situation. Clearly not wanting the same service with them breaking, but asked for a simple manicure instead. My service was $ 42. A manicure is $ 12. Wouldn’t make good business sense to give me a clear manicure and send me on my way? Nope. They wanted to charge me for the $ 12. I said I should be asking for the difference! So shocked. Needless to say I disputed this charge. Don’t even waste your time with this nail place if you value your nails, time, energy, money and good sense. $ 42 well spent for the experience. Will NEVER come back.

Went to this shop for first time tonight. Spur of the moment visit – super close to Shady Grove Metro. $ 32 for mani/pedi, decent polish selection – lots of OPI colors, very nice and friendly people who work here and seems very clean as well. I’ll definitely be returning!

This is a great place. It’s kind of a hole in the wall in an industrial section of Rockville right off 355. The prices are actually great, esp. for that area. It’s right near my work so I will return. It’s a little more than the salon near my house though. I love that they also do massages and facials and waxing. They offer various prices for their spa services depending on length which gives lots of options. Though it is not a professional salon i like that its not pretentious and overpriced. The people are nice. The guy who did my nails really took his time, like two hours for a mani/pedi and really cleaned up my cuticles which I needed. Very relaxing. Chairs do not massage though :(they did an excellent job on my eyebrows for $ 8. It is a great place!
