This was a bad experience. barely any service, the food was cold and the y didnt replace any of the empyt trays(we went arpind 2:30) we kept having to wait on our drinks as the waitress stood their conversing with her coworker.

Better than Fortune Star nearby. The furniture and décor are new, clean and upscale looking — sort of reminds of a cruise ship dining area. The variety of food is extensive and the items are very very

Good riddance, Tyson’s buffet. Your long awaited downfall is finally here! This restaurant was the epitome of everything wrong with American Chinese food, buffets, and food in general. A huge selection of horrible, crap food for the good, good, price of eight ninety something. Overly greasy, bland, chinese food topped with sushi and phở– they tried to do everything and they were bad at everything. People kept coming though because there’s something about buffets and the human capacity to challenge their poor guts and eat just about anything as long as they deem it as a «good deal.»(Enter miserly fob parents.) The fact that tour buses dropped off hordes of tourists here every evening did not help either. You were the CiCi’s Pizza of Chinese Buffets and we can’t get rid of places like this fast enough.

Very VERY surprised by Tysons Buffet! The place is clean & the options range from authentic Chinese to American Chinese food! Favorites: Honey Chicken, Dim sum dishes like Radish cake & Sui Mai, creamy ice cream for dessert, Sushi, Seafood, Mongolian fish, Salmon The reason this isn’t 5 stars is I preferred more authentic Chinese dishes over the Americanized ones(General tso, lo mein, etc). This is my personal bias being Chinese. Service is on point. Food is on point. Check it out.

This is an all you can eat chinese buffet. It is what it is: Clean, pretty decent décor, and nice staff. We used to go to Peter Pan’s(which had an awesome wintertime hot pot offering). This feels newer, but probably isn’t as good. Is an all you can eat buffet a place for gourmet chinese food? Mmm… did they remove«oxymoron» from the dictionary? Funny thing about the name of the place: in mandarin, it’s Tai-san(a county in the Pearl River delta where many Chinese in N America first came from), which sounds like«Tysons.» Sneaky.

They no longer have pineapple shrimp with cream sauce, BOOOOOOO!!! So I call the in to ask if they have it available as some days they didn’t. The woman on the phone said yes but when I arrived the guy at the front desk barely understood english to explain or hear my complaint!!!

This place is okay… I probably won’t be back. They have the usual Chinese buffet stuff… fried food(fries, wings, etc), soup station(egg drop, miso, and like 3 other kinds I can’t remember), beef broccoli, rice noodles, snails, lobsters(Chinese style so like I think it has MSG in it because I was really thirsty after eating this), sushi and pastries/fruit/ice cream. They have this phở station too, which is different from other chinese buffets but the flavor’s not very good. Service is good. Food is mediocre… flavor is kind of off, that is probably why I will not be back. I’m not saying it’s not good but I am not a fan of the way things are cooked here. It might taste good to someone else. I think this is one of those places you come once to never return.

Went there a couple of days ago. The food has improved since before. When I went last year, I didn’t want to eat any of the foods. it was your usual americanized Chinese foods. I only went because my friend brought me. Apparently, they just changed owners and this new owner actually knows how to run a restaurant. There’s been lots of new authentic and exotic dishes. i actually filled up my plate this time cuz i wanted to try them all. it’s looking more clean too. I would recommend people who didn’t like it before to come try again.

Not a good place. Expensive and the food isn’t very good. The service at the tables was ok. When they first opened it was much better, but appears that is over. Almost forgot. They have one of those pads on the counter in front where you pay… it has the American Express logo on it. They don’t take American Express. I pointed it out to the guy and he said«oh».

Okay, I’ve been going to Tyson’s for a few years now and I used to like this place. Now? Not so much. The quality of the food has gone down A LOT and that’s saying something for a buffet. The only good part that’s left, in my opinion, is the sushi bar and even then the rice was really mushy and the sushi didn’t hold it’s own. Soups didn’t look very appetizing, hot and sour soup was more warm and bland soup than anything. Phở was same as it used to be which was a relief because Phở is relatively hard to mess up. The other dishes were subpar at best, eventually they all tasted the same with different consistencies. What I was most upset about was the drunken noodles, which I admit I shouldn’t have expected Thai quality at Tyson’s but my god were they awful. It was all salt and mushy noodles and oil. Literally. Yuck. I really wish I could say something positive about them, but the food lacks seasoning(besides salt which is abundant) and it just… lacks. Sorry Tyson’s, I’m not coming back

Q. What would the meaning be if one said, «a restaurant was so gross it would make vomit vomit»? A. I guess it would mean vomit was personified and immune to its own disgusting attributes, but that immunity was powerless against the attributes of a certain restaurant. Q. What would that restaurant need to be like? A. Inadequate, crowded, dirty and broken bathrooms. Poor food quality. Dirty dining area. Poor service staff. Noisy dining space. Poor management. Poor refill of food troughs. Poorly prepared food. Q. Is someone saying that this particular restaurant is so gross that it would make vomit vomit? A. Oh, of course not, nobody is saying that this particular restaurant would make vomit vomit. That is not being said about this establishment. Q. What is being said in this particular review about this particular restaurant? A. «I do not plan on returning.» Q. Was there anything you enjoyed about eating here? A. Yes, I think the chance to eat braised pigs feet and stewed chicken feet is a great opportunity. I have not often seen these items on other menus. The pigs feet were actually quite flavorful if you are ok with the texture.

Been to this AYCE3 times many months apart and now I know why: it’s very cheap(AYCE lunch for $ 9.49 inc. tax!), and the food quality sucks! Every time I go there(for lunch), I eat and afterwards I tell myself: don’t come back… and I don’t … for 4 or 5 months until I find myself in the area and get suckered all over again! I read some of the other 3,4&5-star reviews and all I can say is u guys were luckyyyyy! Yes they have a great variety of food but if you don’t like fried food or cloying sauces, better stay away. The ONLY good thing(IMHO) is the duck and here’s the 411 on that: IF you get there early(like as SOON as they open for lunch), make a bee-line for the duck, since once they run out, they don’t bother to replace it FORANOTHERFRIGGINHOUR!!! I know, since the first time I went… I waited… and waited… asked the waitress… asked the manager… waited some more… You get the picture! The 2nd time I went … same thing… and the 3rd time. In fact, the only thing that’s new is the REDINK sign right below the word«duck» that says: «NOTFORTAKE-OUT» The thing that’s annoying is that was the ONLY thing I liked, which meant I had to eat fake crab/avocodo/Cali«sushi» rolls, REALLYFAKE eel & Salmon(I don’t know what it was) but it was COLORED like the real thing but was painfully obvious that it wasn’t! The«shark fin» soup? HAHAHAHA … yeah… right… that along with the«oysters» referred to in another review were last seen hanging out with the Loch Ness Monster as they were MIA! Again, I repeat if u got a good meal here, u were LUCKY! PS. The mussels were HUGE but bigger ain’t better: inedible.

*2.5 stars* Sadly, I’ve been to a fair amount of asian buffets(whether it’s in Asia, Bay Area, etc.). Yes, it looks«upscale» and décor could pass for a Vegas buffet if they added a ton of chandeliers, fancier foods, and more selections. But like any Chinese buffet, it’s great the first few weeks(or even months), then quality starts decreasing… etc. Didn’t trust the freshness of the sushi so I completely avoided it. Everything else ranged from decent to terrible tasting. Lots of oily and salty dishes. Price is just right though… guessing that’s why it’s popular.

We ate lunch there three days ago and it’s absolutely the best buffet we’ve ever been to. The selection was truly *astounding* and we probably only managed to try about half of the items(partly because we don’t eat meat — but even so, it would have been impossible). It was dim sum«heaven». Everything was really tasty, the staff were all *very* nice, the place is HUGE(plenty of seating) and the cost was really reasonable($ 16.95 plus tax, which is higher than on weekdays — but that was still a «steal». My mother got the senior discount, which I think was 10%). If you’re familiar with the area, it’s located in what was a formerly a(huge) Staples store.

Makes a loose fist with one hand, and pounds the palm of the other: «Salt! Dough! Oil! Shoot!» «Salt! Dough! Oil! Shoot!» «Salt! Dough! Oil! Shoot!» Ok, it’s a draw. I needed my little Chinese donuts *fry bread* to save my experience here, and they were nowhere to be found. I don’t do sushi in the buffet, and the most exciting part may have been the salad bar. It’s okay for the DMV area. For this Houstonian, it’s ‘meh’.

I think I’ve eaten here about twenty times, and somehow I don’t get tired of this place. This is probably the best Chinese buffet in MoCo for me. Yes, it gets really crowded during dinner especially when the Chinese tour buses pack them in. It is a very large place, and they got tons of food stations and variety. They constantly fill up the food when it’s low, so food never runs out. They have more authentic Chinese dishes than the Chinese Americanized dishes.

This is a somewhat expensive buffet but they have a HUGE selection of food. Obviously, with so many different items available to try, there will be lots of hits and lots of misses. There’s a lot of the typical«filler» Chinese food buffet items. Orange Chicken and the like. It’s okay but nothing amazing. I don’t think it’s worth the money if that’s all you’re planning to eat(if that sort of stuff is all you want, ordering Chinese carryout could be cheaper and tastier). They offer dim sum here too… it’s not bad but it’s by no means anywhere near the best I’ve had. And as for sushi here… don’t expect too much. However, what’s Tysons’ saving grace is that they serve some more authentic Chinese dishes too. I’m aware that not everybody will want to try these items(I’ve seen things like chicken feet, shark fin soup, etc…) but it’s all very exciting for me. :) So i’ll come by here if other people want to come here… but it certainly will not be my first choice of dining establishments to go to in the area.

I came here on a Sunday with my munchkin. The munchkin usually eats about 4 mouse-sized bites and declares herself full. The price for an adult was like $ 15 and for ages 2 and up $ 10. My kiddo is over 2, but tiny. I tell them it’s just us and technically she is over two– and he charges us $ 25. I gasp and say, are you kidding? She’ll eat like 2 dumplings and be done. Never mind, I’ll do elsewhere for a $ 25 meal. He says«next time just tell us she’s 2»… Riiiiiight. I don’t lie… and she doesn’t look 2. They need to change their age bracket to age 5 and up. Anyway, generally the dim sum was decent, and as all you an eat places go, it was pretty good. If you aren’t sure what kind of Asian food you’re in the mood for, this s a good place to pick at lots of things. If you are looking for really high quality, piping hot food, this isn’t the right venue. The kiddo did enjoy the ice cream and jello, and unlimited soda refills. I’d come again, but not often.

I joined 2 days tour to Washington, DC and tour bus stop there for dinner. We had no choice for anything else. The food was greasy and the place was dirty!
