This sushi is not authentic! Stay away. Even something as simple as the shrimp tempora was gross! I’ve had much better sushi

Ok, during my 8 years living in King Farm, how come I NEVER went to this fantastic little gem? I came here one time while Jason was next door busy climbing the rung towards a black belt at Kicks Karate. Easy way to eat and kill an hour as opposed to driving out somewhere else. You MUST come here on a Monday night for their«Sushi Happy Hour». It is ½ price for many of their fresh fish selections(no rolls). Good quick service and the size of the cut is HUGE. I’ll see you at the sushi bar on Monday…

This place is awesome. Everyone is friendly and nice. The sushi is the BOMB. You have to at least keep coming back and try the whole menu out.

Great food! Top sushi place with very fresh tasting fish. We were back from Japan for a few days and stumbled upon these folks, taste was very similar, that’s saying something. Eat here, be happy!

I’ve been searching for a good sushi place since moving here. Nagoya has hit the spot! The service is excellent. I was always greeted with a friendly smile. The lunch specials are excellent 2 rolls for $ 6.95 or 3 for $ 9.95…its a nice selection on sushi and its plentiful. The most important thing… the sushi is good! Yesssss! This will be my go-to restaurant for sushi.

Total fail this week with Nagoya Sushi. My office ordered sushi this week and was told it would be a 35 – 45 minute delivery time — no problem. When an hour passed and our food had not arrived I called and was told that they were busy it would be another 15 minutes. We weren’t happy but it was lunch time and Nagoya is popular. 15 minutes passed and no food so I called again for a second time and was told it would be another 15 minutes. So another 15 minutes came and went and no food. I called for a third time with the intention of cancelling and the woman said that she would call the driver to confirm his location and call me back. After waiting for another 10 minutes I called and was told my food would arrive«soon.» I cancelled. No one should wait an hour and 40 minutes for what was quoted as a 35 – 45 minute delivery time. This was the second time we had an extended delivery time with Nagoya. Between personal orders and work lunch orders I eat here at least once a week. Nagoya lost a loyal customer.

Been here a couple times now. The sushi has always been fresh and well made. Service is friendly and attentive. Definitely worth a try.

I had the volcano roll, deluxe California roll, and the lobster roll! They were really good and were very big rolls! They come with 6 in each roll and are 6 dollars each. Really filling with tons of toppings!

This was our third time here. Each time we arrived we were greeted with great customer service. The serving size was a lot for sashimi. They weren’t bit size. You could actually cut them in to 1⁄3 to make them bit size. The sushi was fresh and tasted very well. This is one of our favorite sushi places in Rockville, Maryland.

phenomenal sushi. Yoyogi’s has been closed for a little while now so finding sushi as a replacement was a struggle until I stopped by this place with my brothers, now I don’t think I want to go back to yoyogi’s :/ I have yet to have such creamy and fresh fish as I did at Nagoya, yes it’s a little bit pricey but do you know how hard it is to find brown rice sushi around here?! brown rice was an extra dollar per roll and it took them a while to get our order made for take out but I’m beyond impressed. Look out Yoyogi’s, there’s a new sushi place in this girls heart!

Went here for a coworker lunch. It was fine. Good service, decent food. The sushi was definitely not the best I’ve ever had. It just wasn’t as fresh or as flavorful or creative as what I can get even from somewhere like Wegman’s, much less the better sushi places in Virginia. Again, it’s good. Decent lunch for a fair price, but nothing that blew me away.

I’m a huge Yoyogi fan, but I gave this place a try after hearing good things. It’s a little nicer inside than Yoyogi and is definitely less crowded during meals, and you get waiter service. A friend and I had the 12 piece sashimi lunch($ 15.95) and the maki roll combo($ 11.50). Both were a good amount of food — I enjoyed the variety of sashimi and the presentation was cute. I think I still prefer Yoyogi for the cheaper prices and especially for their maki rolls. However, not a bad choice if you’re in the neighborhood looking for some sushi.

This is my first visit. Everything was fresh, but my favorite so far is the salmon/jalapeño/cilantro/ginger rolls. Literally melted in my mouth with a kick of heat. I’m going back again and again.

Service: Friendly and excellent, no complaints from the cook or waiter service. Food: Surprisingly good, the food was prepared quickly(since we were the only patrons in the restaurant) and it was a solid 4 out of 5. Having had a pick of various rolls and nigiri. There’s nothing terribly exciting about the restaurant but there’s nothing bad to write about it either.

First time trying this place and have lived near by for several years. Will definitely be going back. Today’s special was salmon jaw for 6.95 and it was delish! I’m a big fan of using all parts and not wasting and the salmon jaw was so flavorful! Never had it before today but will have it again. Also had spider roll with fresh, meaty, crispy soft shelled crab and California roll with REAL crab. Both with spicy mayo no roe. Everything was fresh and tasty and the service was fantastic! Going back Monday for the specials.

This is my sushi nirvana and I have been here too much now they know me like a patron at Cheers. Lucky for me the prices perfect for such great quality. My go to is the Chirashi bowl. They have some nice unusuals like Crunchy Spicy Lobster Roll(which I get non spicy) or Soft Shell Crab Tempura. My favorite desert they have is Mango Mochi but sadly it is only available Wednesday. I love Nagoya and the ONLY thing that upsets me is that I haven’t know about them sooner as they have been around for a decade.

I don’t know what it is about this place but I really wanted to like it. And I couldn’t even find a reason to not like it. It just didn’t get me. I have eaten here twice both for lunch. It’s located near my office and so a co-worker and I were craving sushi the last time. I thought I’d erase the first visit from my memory and try again. The first time wasn’t great nor bad. Second time, I ordered two special rolls — Dancing Tuna Roll and Crunchy Spicy Salmon Roll. The rolls were beautiful and looked great with the thin layer of rice. I loved that the rice ratio was perfect for the fish amount. But when it came down to taste, it was funny. The fish wasn’t bad. But it wasn’t the best. It didn’t have that fresh melt in your mouth taste. In fact, some of the pieces were kinda gummy and just not good. You can tell the fish quality isn’t the best, or even high. So because of that, I wouldn’t return. Again, looked great. Wanted to like it. Service was good. Prices were decent. But eh, don’t waste your calories or time on this place. There are better sushi spots in the area that aren’t too far away.

Good quality sushi and very quick service. Pricing is excellent; you get 6 pieces of sashimi for under $ 10 bucks and the level of freshness is stellar. One criticism is that for a sushi place, they really don’t have much in the way of sushi. Most of their offerings seemed to be soups, rice and noodle dishes, and protein based entrees. Wish they had more roll and sashimi options.

Located near Capital One Bank and Safeway in the King Farm Village Center, Nagoya offers sushi in a traditional atmosphere. Service was typical of any Asian restaurant… not very attentive. Sushi… eek! Came here for lunch one afternoon and ordered several rolls. The sushi didn’t taste as fresh and some of the rolls had rice that was semi-hard. The salmon/avocado and tuna/avocado weren’t bad. The amount of fish/avocado in each roll was pretty generous, although the roll pieces were cut unevenly. But the spicy tuna and yellow tail rolls were just horrible. The fish was so finely chopped and mashed together that it had the consistency of baby food. Yikes! Another roll with cooked salmon and avocado was just as disgusting. Uh uh. On the bright side, Nagoya does offer $ 1 nigiri on Mondays. They also have a loyalty card… for every $ 10 that you pay in cash, you get one stamp on the card. Once you get 10 stamps on the card(i.e. spend $ 100 and pay in cash), you get $ 10 off. Will I be back on a Monday to try out their nigiri? Maybe. Will I fill up a loyalty card one day? Most likely not.
