McDonald’s. You know what to expect here. I was desperately hungry and it did the job.

I ordered my meal and had to wait ten minutes before I got it because the staff was too busy goofing off with each other. Also, while I was waiting, I noticed that while one of the employees was mopping the floor behind the counter, the soap and dirt is being flown everywhere, possibly landing on the food and coffee. I would not recommend anybody eating there.

Pitiful service. Just walked in this morning and I was the only customer there, and it still took one of the three employees counter almost a minute to serve me. After repeating my order several times she still got it wrong. They don’t listen and they don’t hear. Management needs to work on better training.

I never thought i would ever leave a fast food review on Unilocal, but there’s a first time for everything ;). I love sweet and sour sauce, i’d go insane without it. When i ask for 2 sweet and sour sauces through the drive through speaker, i should expect 2 sauces, not 0. I’ve had this issue multiple times, i’ve complained to the workers i’ve been cheated on my sauces. NO improvement.

McDonald’s is usually super convenient for me, but this location has messed up my orders every single time when I order via drive thru. Unfortunately, it’s the closest McDonald’s with a drive thru to me. My kids are huge fans of the happy meals, and when they hear about a certain toy, they hope to get it. Other McDonald’s would have the«new» toys already, but somehow this location would give old toys that they didn’t manage to get rid of when those were in season. Once we asked if they had the«shopkins,» and they said yes, so we proceeded to order 2 happy meals, both with nuggets, fries, apple slices(and a yogurt on the side). When we got the happy meals, they put that ugly mummy from hotel transylvannia in there for both of them. WHAT? We told them they confirmed they had the shopkins, and then one lady went to the back and got them for us. So I guess they might have them, but they don’t always distribute them? Also, once we got nuggets in their happy meal and they put in those mozzarella sticks instead. Their buttermilk chicken sandwich is usually good, but somehow it is very inconsistent at this location. Once the chicken seemed a bit raw. Yuck. Their pick 2 isn’t a bad deal — 2 items from either a mcdouble, mcchicken, fries, mozzarella sticks, etc. The mozzarella sticks are quite new, and you get 3 plus a thingy of marinara sauce for a dollar. There has been complaints about receiving hallow ones, but luckily that hasn’t happened with me here before. One time the person rung us up for the wrong order and then gave us the wrong order. It was annoying holding up the line. UGHHHH!!!

I stay away from this McDonald´s because of one terrible experience my family had 19 years ago. The experience scarred my family and we still feel the reverberating effects 19 years later. As Bob Dylan sang: For the times they are a-changin´ The year was 1997. Rockville Pike was developing and becoming a bustling street flanked with shopping centers. Not only was the infrastructure of Rockville changing, but so was the demographics. Asians were migrating to the D.C. suburbs. They migrated for a multitude of reasons; some of which are economic prosperity, a better education for their children, escaping an increasingly communism régime, helping out other family members who previously migrated. With such an influx of Asian, the demographics of Rockville started to change. What was once dominated by White Americans, Rockville became increasingly diverse. Asians came. Jews came. Hispanics came. African came. Blacks came. All for the aforementioned reasons Anyways, what happened was this. It hurts to even speak of this. My dad took my brothers and me to McDonalds for a fast treat after a strenuous day helping my grandmother with her home improvements(she lives by her lonesome self and does not speak to a lick of English). The nanosecond we stepped into McDonalds, we were accosted by an older white lady, who was another customer. She aggressively berated us for no reason shouting obscenities and yelling at us to go back to China because we don´t belong here in Rockville. When my father chose to be the better man and better father not to respond, not to respond to this bigot with any dignity or notion, not to fuel her prejudicial views with anger, she exclaimed: ANDYOUDON´T EVENBOTHERTOLEARNENGLISH. She proceeded to walk out with her order in hand. She may have left, but the damage was already done. She was loud and clear with her views and already delivered a world of hurt unto my family. Afterwards, my dad stood there in disbelief. All he wanted to do was be a good father and reward his sons with a 69 cents hamburger. He immigrated to America for his unborn sons thinking they would be welcomed here… and in two minutes, this woman shattered that entire notion. My dad questioned why would he even come to a place like this if this was how people actually feel about us. I know now she represents only one person with one view, but at the time, her view instantaneously eclipsed every one else´s point of view. I started to become withdrawn and wearied of strangers thinking they all shared the same prejudicial views. It was my first experience with racism, when I realized that people are not going to accept me solely on my skin color… It was my loss of innocence when I learned that hate exists. God, it feels good to finally let this out. I have been bottling this harrowing experience for the past 19 years. Thanks for listening to my story.

Came to this location on a cold and rainy day to pick-up some Old Bay Filet-o-Fish sandwiches for my in-laws. The restaurant was very busy, but we got or order(accurately) within 15 minutes and the food was excellent. The cashier was sweet, the restaurant was clean and we were happy! The only negative is the crazy driving that happend the the parking lot.

This is an above average McDonalds. It’s open 24 hours. It’s pretty clean and they sell quarter pounders with cheese. Enough said.

Never had a problem with this location. I can’t give it 5 stars because I don’t eat here. I only come for coffee. The staff is always friendly and even when the line is long it seems to move quickly.

Consistently HORRIBLE food and service. Tonight, the line was very long, very slow, and when we got the chicken nuggets and fries, they were cold and tasted like VERYOLDOIL. Like when the management is too cheap to refresh the oil, food starts to get a nasty, bitter, acrid taste. God awful. Every time I come here it’s infuriating. Unfortunately, it’s one of the only drive throughs in my area. How bad can a McDonald’s be? You’ll see!

This place has fallen down, hard. It’s been here forever and use to embody the things that made Mickey D’s a success. Not today. It’s a pig sty. Trash everywhere on the floor and behind counter. Understaffed and no leadership. Thank goodness I only walked in to grab a coffee because I probably could not bring myself to eat anything. What the hell happened? If this were my store my managers would all be fired. Today.

I have ordered unsweeted tea and keep getting sweet tea. Ordered a double hamburger(that is what the outside order screen showed). What I got was a double cheeseburger. Frustrating.

I gave a little bit of flak to the other McDonald’s location, but this location showcases the wonders of updating the tired old designs of McDonald’s’ past. It is clean, bright, and service moves quickly… except for those occasions when the drive thru isn’t working, which seems to happen quite a bit. There have been some problems for me in the past, but nothing that seems endemic… then again, I don’t go to McDonalds every day, thus I have no larger perspective on this location’s employment and service policies and practices. At the end of the day, you’re getting the same McDonalds you’ll get everywhere else, and the lobby is also open 24 hours a day and has a drive thru as well. It’s cleaner than most, so Supersize® my self-loathing and help me satisfy that munchyesque craving with slabs of sizzling beef flesh covered in «cheese,» deep fried fries peppered with salt, and a near-bucket of almost-syrupy fizzy sugar water to wash it down. Goodbye, self-respect, hello gluttony! Ok, that was a little harsh. There is always a time and a place for McDonald’s, and fortunately with this location, that time is all the time.

I don’t even think at this point it’s worth writing a review on a franchise fast food restaurant unless it’s something negative. Anyways this Mc Danolds clean, fast and just like all other renovated Mc Danolds. Your in and your out.

The«manager» here on Tuesday evenings is a complete moron. If I order a milkshake you need to give me a straw with it you prat! On top of that the staff taking the orders don’t get the orders right and take a long time to get food to you. Definitely one McDonalds that we will no longer patronize.

Service at this location is terrible. My wife and I keep trying to get dipped cones there but the machine is always broken. Give me a break. There is often a line and the people at the register are not exactly the most friendly. The only reason we keep going is the location. If you have an option hit the Vir Mills location.

Finally, a high class McDonalds with a beautiful outdoor deck open 24⁄7. Coffee at 2AM, a paper and a cigar. Heaven.

Definitely not your average McDonald’s. I typically use the drive thru option, however the times I’ve been inside I’ve enjoyed the ambiance. They have flat screen tvs, a water fountain wall as well as restaurant style booths and high bar stool tables and chairs. There is also patio dining. The service is good. My food has always been correct and hot.

This review is 4 stars relatively speaking. By that I mean– it is a MCDONALD’S so let’s be real– the menu is the same nationwide essentially. And the food tastes about the same too. So why bother writing a Unilocal review right? Well, this one is pretty nice inside. Flat screen tv’s and stuff. And a water fountain wall. Outdoor seating on a patio that isn’t half bad for being a fast food joint. Why why didn’t I give it 5 stars? I wish it had an play area. Sigh. Since it doesn’t, I usually find myself down by the one near King Farm instead since they do have one. If you’re in the area and looking for a good indoor fastfood play area– the Burger King on Shady Grove road is a good mix of decent inside with a pretty great play area. It’s too bad I kid prefers McDonalds…
