Front desk unpleasant., long wait in dental chair. Dr. Schlactus doesn’t take responsibility for his work. Always trying to blame someone else for HIS poor dental work.

Dr. Schlactus has been my dentist for several years. I find him to be patient, knowledgable and thorough. He has never pushed a service on me, either, which I appreciate. I really liked my last dentist, but he was really slow and I got totally antsy in the chair. Dr. Schlactus moves along at a good pace. I like the dental assistants in the back as well. I feel well taken care of in this practice.

Our entire family – including kids – have been going to Dr. Schlactus for more than a decade. He was good with my young kids(as young as 4 or 5) as well, so we stopped using a pediatric dentist. He is great – thoughtful, nice, and very competent. He, listens to the patient, and doesn’t encourage unnecessary procedures. On the rare occasion that I have had a problem he was not comfortable treating himself(possible cracked root) he appropriately referred me to a specialist. Staff is all very nice too.

Dr Schlactus himself is fine. but he seems to always be fairly busy, and being a newer patient I didn’t really ever feel like I was getting a ton of personalized care. The dental assistants I’ve seen have all been great-very nice and personable. His front desk staff are THEWORST. Basically every time I’ve needed to talk to someone they’ve been rude, impatient, unwilling to work with me, and overall just very bitchy. Honestly if the front desk staff didn’t suck so hard I would probably give the office 5 stars, but they make the experience so insufferable I couldn’t do it(and really 2 stars feels generous…).

Dr. Schlactus is a caring, excellent dentist. He is gentle with kids and adults. His office is up to date, service is not cheap — but not outrageous and in his case you actually get a real professional, who cares about the quality of his work not some overpriced prima donna. He has done all of my work over the last year and is the best dentist I have found in about 15 years. They do accept and work with some insurances.
