I literally created an account just to take a minute to write an excellent review for this hidden gem of a shop. Not only were they friendly, curious, and professional, but I felt absolutely no pressure. And they were HONEST. Thank you Jay and the rest of staff. You guys made it so easy and I’ll be sure to recommend you to all my family/friends.

I had a strange experience after taking a gold medal to possibly sell. I was offered $ 4200. I waited a week and the price of gold went up, so when I went back, I was offered $ 3200 and the person working was not very nice. I got a strange vibe and decided to take my business elsewhere.

I am a complete layman when it comes to coins but when Christmas comes around you tend to go where gifts are, whether you’re in the know about them or not. After seeing Coins of the Realm while driving on Rockville Pike I figured I’d drop in and see what they were all about. What I got was a schooling on the buying and selling of silver and a new respect for the trade. Part of me always trusts a store that’s jam packed with stuff, even if unsightly. In many cases appearances can be deceiving. If a store can rest on its reputation despite it’s appearance, you know you’re in good hands. While Coins of the Realm is over crowded with goods, I had a feeling of legitimacy from the very start. A gentleman by the name of Greg offered to help me and despite my assurances I didn’t know anything about what was being sold in the store, he carefully walked me through the history of the store, the owners, and the product. I was able to handle the coins, pick out my selection, and put it on hold until the following day. A wonderful experience and someplace I hope to return to, as I’m now interested in buying for myself!
