I had the pleasure of walking into the Nine Lives Café in the sleepy town of Rockport, Ma. during my visit to photograph the beautiful scenery… The Fairtrade organic coffee was superb !! The owner was very welcoming and pleasant. And the cinnamon roll has serious street cred!!! It was out of this word! Once I commented to the owner how good the cinnamon roll was. She told me that all her desserts are made from scratch using organic ingredients. Being an artist(photographer) myself. I appreciate how she is supporting the local artist community by hanging their work on the wall to sell. 5 stars across the board! I’ll be back again for another cinnamon roll for sure!

Cute little shop. The owner was super sweet. She bakes most of the pasteries herself. The cinnamon roll was on point. But to chill and do work, might be little too small. Also, if you are big into coffee, there’s no pour over or chemex options(in case you are into those) ;)

My friends and I couldn’t get into Good Harbor Beach, so we spent a hot, sunny morning walking around Rockport, followed by a picnic in the center of town. What better way to cap that off with a medium iced fair trade coffee from Nine Lives? Judging from the other reviews, I must have met the owner, because she was as nice as everyone described.(Unless there are two people who work there who are exceptionally kind! Wouldn’t that be great?) The coffee was perfect! And it’s served in a compostable plastic cup, which made my conscience feel better since it’s «Plastic-Free July.» Lastly, it was very reasonably priced at $ 2.75. If you prefer Starbucks coffee or any of the smaller, local coffee places like JaHo in Salem or True North in Burlington, you will love Nine Lives.

This place is great! Eco thoughtful this place has fair trade, great tasting coffee and compostable products to go along with it. The owner Lisa is extremely nice and even remembered my name when I was leaving. I also really like the outdoor patio although I’m imagining it’s nicer later in the day while the sun is hitting it. For sure a wonderful place to sit have a coffee and scone!

Organic Fair Trade Coffee? And almond milk? And the owner who is so nice and welcoming? Who could ask for more? I wish I lived closer because I love everything about this coffee shop. There are chalkboard tables to draw on as well which is pretty cool.
