Esther Mathieu Photography

Esther photographed a maternity session for a friend and I fell in love with the pictures. I knew that I absolutely had to have her capture that special time in my life as well and she did so perfectly. Two of those pictures hang in my son’s nursery and he likes to touch the belly pictures and he smiles. It makes me so happy and so thankful that she was there to document my pregnancy.
Ten days after the maternity pictures were taken, my son arrived. A week later, Esther and her assistant came to my home to take newborn pictures. They spent four hours with us — FOUR! Being a mom herself, she understands the nursing and sleeping needs of a newborn and worked around that. She carefully positioned my nine-​day old baby and was so comfortable doing so. We used the photos from the newborn session on our birth announcement and everyone raved about how beautiful the pictures were.

We met Esther Mathieu through a Living Social deal and it was one of the best photo experiences we have ever had. Esther is patient when working with small children and did a great job prepping us for what we should bring to the photo shoot. She brought out the best in our son.
We had some difficulty and delays choosing our photos. She was extremely patient with us and was quick to resolve an issue we had with the photo CD well after we received the pictures, which were much better than we ever expected. The image and picture quality were phenomenal. We would definitely use Esther Mathieu Photography in the future and highly recommend her.

This was my first encounter with natural light photography and I have to say it was such a wonderful experience. Esther was very personal and attentive. She accommodated our requests and also brought her own ideas to the session. The pictures came out wonderful and I now have a new love for this type of photography. She photographed myself, husband, 4 year old, 2 year old and newborn. My 2 year old was not cooperating and I was really happy that Esther was so patient and understanding. She also was really patient during the newborn session.
