This was my first time here with kids. And I was not impressed. When you allow 20 year olds to run your business, it will look like it. Dirty tables, overpriced food, and no service at all to speak of. I decided to grab two beers from the Halftime side and I waited 20 minutes just to be acknowledged. The bartender was about 30, black hair, awful tatts, and slow as molasses. I did see a manager come take a look and then not bother to help the 5 or 6 patrons not being helped. I’d rather go to the older, crusty alley on the other side of town than overpay for a newer place. Kiss my business goodbye…

We ordered food and there was barely any cheese on out $ 14 Nachos and when I bought extra cheese for it they charged me 89 cents for a small ass cup! We also ordered fried green beans and their portions were SUPER small for the price! When I asked about the portion the cash register didn’t even respond! I had to REPEAT myself and Yes he heard me he just chose not to answer… Not liking it here ATALL

I take my son here with kidsbowlfree and its great. We also have our own bowling shoes and bought an adult pass(through ) so we can come bowl 100% free every day if we want beginning April 18th through the end of summer. They’re even open on Sundays for this so my husband can join in on the fun. The fries are awesome with good service, I like that they have an arcade, and my son loves coming here! However, they really do need more kids bowling balls for when it gets busy with this kidsbowlfree pass and sometimes have a long wait for lanes. But that’s nitpicking for free indoor summer entertainment.

I really enjoyed the place: clean, well-lighted, and selling good pizza. I recommend it.

It’s Friday night and they don’t have enough workers to serve their customers. Even at the main counters for the bowling lanes or at the bar. They even skipped me three times within 20 min of me standing at the bar. Then, the bartender had the nerve to tell me she had only been there 3 min. Which was definitely not true. So obviously they make excuses for bad customer service and work ethic. These are two parts of the business they definitely work on. I love coming here but their service really makes it hard. Especially since I come on the weekends. If you can’t handle the crowd… hire more people or at least diligent workers and not lazy asses.

We come to strikes often as a family and always have a good time. If you watch out for their groupon you can get 6 people in with shoes for an hour and a half with pizza and a pitcher of soda for about 45 $. You can’t beat that deal! They have a nice restaurant Halftime Grill inside that has really good food and a bar. They also have a walk up counter for munchies and such so you don’t have to go into the restaurant and can eat while you bowl. They have an arcade, another bar in the alley and a private room with pool tables. I like that they participate in the kids bowl free summer program. Only issue I have ever had is they do get busy sometimes but you can always wait at the bar until a lane opens up!

I bought a package from groupon and called ahead to make sure that we could bowl with no problems. They said, sure, no problem, we have plenty of space. We drove an hour to get to Strikes. When we arrived, I was informed that they had league coming in and other reserved lanes and we couldn’t bowl. I was very unhappy. I talked to a manager and they ended up giving us a special lane, we did not get our full 90 minutes, but they apologized and gave us a coupon for a free session for 6 of us another time. The customer service was great and saved the experience. I will come here again.

This is my first time here and I had a not so pleasant visit. I do not like writing bad reviews but I was irritated the entire time from the moment I was greeted at the front counter to the moment I asked for a refund for my money back. Good customer service is important and this place did not have any. I’m sorry but I’m a pretty patient person when it comes to places like this because yes I understand how you’re feeling, however if your going to give me a rude attitude and act like telling me what lane I was on again because I couldn’t hear you over the significantly LOUD music(which I kid you not is right next to the front counter) is too much to ask for then I’m going to take my money elsewhere. Like I’m sorry if you may have had a shitty day or night but your customer service is going to reflect on how well you can keep your customers coming back. Also the lanes and tables are soooo close to each other if someone rude sits at your designated table then you’re pretty much gonna have to find a table FARTHER than where your actual lane is. FIXTHATPLEASE. My friends and I also had a delay to which after being rudely told what lane we were on and having people sit at our table the lane still didn’t work. GREAT. Im sure it’s not always like this and it could’ve just been this night and the workers but because of it sadly I will not be returning.

Here we are, Saturday morning and heading to get some earlybird bowling in with the family, two dollar shoe rentals and two dollar games. It’s been years probably six or seven since I went bowling and now we have a two-year-old so that should be fun. As we got there the place was pretty full, bowling seems to be something people enjoy I guess… We got our Shoes, Lane and our balls and we were ready to attack the pins. I was up second and my first three frames were gutter balls(ha ha) so I’m sure there might be something wrong with the lane or the balls obviously not my fault. After I got the hang of it I can see why this is so much fun. We let the gentleman know that we had a two-year-old and Rightaway showed us where to get a lighter ball and put the bumpers up automatically every time it was his turn they also brought over a ramp thingamajig to help get the ball rolling which he thoroughly enjoyed and so did we. He loved that he could do it on his own and we really enjoyed watching the satisfaction he got from it. Some family were in the area and decided to meet us towards the end of the game in which they were added on and we had a larger party. This was still two dollars a game what a great deal. During the time there we had a great time and a couple of the lane attendance or people working there asked us if we needed anything and made us feel important even though the place was very full. This was Saturday morning and we had a great time we will be going back again for some Saturday or Sunday morning bowling and would really enjoy some of the nighttime glow bowling that they offer. Very good experience next time we will try some food too.

Went with our two young kids(5&2) we bowl and have a blast typically, but the counter guy here just wanted us gone. We had to go back to the counter twice and wait to get balls and the lane set up… kids balls are behind the counter, and their was a configuration issue. It is my expectation that they give me every thing I need when I am at the counter, how do I know what they have out for self service or behind the counter. The little arcade was good for our kids which is why I went for 2 stars. $ 10 got us lots of games and some prizes.

Beer, Pizza, & Bowling, what more could a girl want. My youngest son and I love strikes but its so far away we haven’t made many trips out to Rocklin or Elk Grove. The bowling joints in our neighborhood are older and they cost about the same. Actually Country Club lanes charges by the half hour vrs the game so it is normally more expensive than Strikes. Strikes has so much to offer for families as well as girls or guys night out events. The staff have always been very friendly & helpful, restrooms clean & well stocked! Draft beer is $ 13 for a pitcher, a large pepperoni pizza $ 20. My only tip is get there before 7pm on a Friday or Saturday or be prepared to wait for a lane to open up. If in the event you find yourself having wait, there is a pretty amazing video arcade to entertain, as well a bar area for the adults. Saw a review about drunk people passed out but I personally have never witnessed that. Strikes has always been more of a family friendly place. Would love for them to open up a location near me.

I like coming hear because they have NFL ticket. That being said, they have the shittiest service ever. I literally have not seen my server for 20 min… And it’s not even busy, and by not busy I mean 2 servers, one bar tender, one bar back and one manager waiting on 5 tables, and 2 people at the bar. Ugh

Where do I begin. First of all don’t let this place fool you by having a bar. If you actually want a drink, the bartender will have you wait at least 15 minutes just before speaking to her. After my group of 12 spending over $ 200 on food and drinks while waiting for lanes, we finally got two lanes. The older woman next to us ran into me and made my beer spill everywhere. She was then extremely rude to me about walking behind her. When her husband told me to clean it up and my fiancé told him to relax and he would clean it, the man shoved him and tried to punch him. After getting security the manager came over and apparently was confused about which story was true between the older drunk couple and the 15 people telling him what had happened. The manager then proceeded to tell my young, female friend verbatim to «shut the the fuck up and shut your fucking mouth» because he was overwhelmed by people trying to explain what happened. Never have I seen a manager handle a situation so poorly. As he treated us so poorly, we decided to leave. Many of us have worked in the service industry in much more frustrating conditions. We didn’t feel the need to give him anymore of our money. Sad because the rest of the staff and security were great. But needless to say, we won’t be back.

Strikes is a beautiful bowling alley… If you can get on a lane. A few years ago, I left Strikes after being told there was a two hour wait and drove to AMF and within the half hour was bowling for a cheaper price. Last week, I gave Strikes on a Saturday a second chance. There was a faintly written sign out front that apparently said no lanes were open, but I didn’t see it until we were leaving. The guy at the front desk casually said it was a 1.5 to 2 hour wait. I looked around and there were lanes open. More than HALF of the lanes were not being bowled on and yet there was a two hour wait? Totally unacceptable. We went to get some drinks at the bar which was full of people and yet only had one bar tender trying to probably figure out how the hell she would manage to make all these orders. I felt bad for being annoyed at how long it took to get our drinks. After pestering the guy at the desk for an update he finally said there was an event that was not over until 11pm. How the hell are you going to give all your lanes to an event on a Saturday and expect me to wait around to give you my money when I can’t even get a drink at the bar to bide my time? Add that to the fact that I counted ATLEAST30 lanes open and unused by what ever the hell event was happening… By the time I could get a lane I didn’t want to pay for more than one game… Oh yeah, forgot that it was called Strikes Unlimited but it was anything but unlimited. Limited lanes. Limited games for the price. Limited patience for that single bar tender. Save your time and money and drive to AMF. This was unacceptable. I truly hope that those people saving the lanes paid enough to make up for losing our business.

Bad bad bad bartender. Asked for a gin and tonic, got vodka/tonic and an argument. Second person asked for a scotch and soda, got bourbon and soda. and an argument. Bartender has not been to bartending school. She argued that«whiskey» is written on both the bourbon and scotch bottle and thinks they are interchangeable. Soooooo. Anything clear could be vodka or gin. Anything brown is whiskey, scotch or rye. When we very nicely tried to explain the difference she got indignant and blamed us, accused us of f___ing with her on purpose cause now she had two messed up drinks she has to explain to her«SUPERVISOR»
WOW. Where did they dig this person up? Cleary we have hit 3.7% unemployment. The pool table is not maintained and there is no chalk. Seriously don’t even thing of going here unless you want the wrong drink and a rip off pool table.

Bowling alley in Rocklin. Been here various times. It’s a mixed bag of service for various entertainment and beverages within the alley. Sometimes there is security late on the weekends. Instructions and information is not very clear on pricing. No sign other than the staff informing you of cover. They get you wrist band. If you are in the alley before, you will still need to pay the cover irregardless. Bartenders are okay at best. They have made some improvements where the staff is more aware then when they first opened. Drinks are okay. Nothing spectacular. Prices are on par with others. Bowling alley itself is mostly clean. Varying specials throughout week. Varying activities or changes through the days including glow bowl. Lanes are decently oiled. Plenty of balls. Snack bar is kept. Nothing spectacular. Okay mixed bag of experiences.

This place is smaller than the one in Elk Grove. The staff is a bit friendlier too. We went here with some friends just to pass the time. They found a groupon deal which was great because it came with food and drinks. It was for 6 people for an hour and a half. Great deal right? Right but of course there were some restrictions. You have to all be on one lane, the time goes by really fast especially since you have 6 people bowling. You won’t be able to have tournament style bowling where you would be changing lanes if you have rented both lanes side by side. Also, the person at the register has to be the one to input your names instead of you doing it yourself. Of course incorrect spellings are going to happen so don’t get all upset if it does. You can get over it or just tell the person the correct spelling and they can change it. It’s that simple. It’s not the end of the world. Oh yeah, if you want bumper bowling, you need to tell them that too, even if the game has already started. It’s still a good deal but there are way too many restrictions for my taste. Oh whatever, it came with food and drinks so it wasn’t too bad. The pizza was pretty good. My boys like their pizza plain jane so it was cheese pizza and the other half of the pizza was pepperoni. It was good for bowling alley pizza. Even the pizza dough and the crust was pretty tasty and I don’t normally eat crust. The workers were friendly and it was a busy Saturday early evening so it was refreshing that they were still friendly. We didn’t have to wait too long so they were pretty quick in getting people what they wanted and needed. Saturday nights are glow bowling on the left side of the alley. It was pretty fun but if you are someone who relies on the arrows, you are definitely not going to be able to see them.

OHMYGOD First: The exterior. They have a big sign that says no smoking within 50 feet of the building, but they have no ashtrays outside. So you have cigarette butts and trash… everywhere. In the planters, in the bushes, in the walkway. Disgusting. I’m all about no smoking, public building, etc. But have the resources in place so it doessnt become a pigsty. Second: Shoes. It’s time to replace the shoes… and I didnt see anyone treating them with anything before they were put back in stock or handed out to the next bowler. Disgusting again. Third: Lane condition. It is clear that the lanes are not well taken care of. I’m not a pro by any means(142 avg) but I can tell that they are not waxed and polished properly. When slow balls wander from one side to the other and back again, that’s a bad indicator. We won’t be back.
