They have lovely helpers all around the bookstore that are there to help you find the books you need, so you do not have to get the wrong ones. I purchased a combo pack(book&access code) needed for a statistics class– for an ALEKS program. For the first weeks we could use a temporary code, so didnt even open my packet yet. Just a few days ago I open it to input the code and it is INVALID. Apparently i was handed the wrong one. The girl who was helping me said there was only ONE stats book combo for the ALEKS program. So duh! I thought no brainer, It must be the one. Well when I found out it was the wrong one, I called the bookstore to see if a switch could be made. The lady informed me…“The people helping you are here for a courtesy, it’s not our responsibility to give you the correct books.” It’s not like i am trying to drop and want my $ back, i just need a code for the class, and to not have to pay $ 133 more dollars. Terrible customer service!!!

Staff if alright. Overpriced products just like any college bookstore. The manager’s stress and displeasure shows all over her face, but she is helpful nonetheless. Doors were shut on someone 2 minutes before closing. I have worked in retail and I have worked in restaurants, and I know employees want to leave as soon as possible, but you still are running a business, and your posted business hours still apply. She wasn’t rude about it, she was actually nice, and I felt bad for her, so we opened the door so she could get her scantrons within business hours.

If there was an option to select zero stars, that would’ve been my choice. This is the most poorly managed bookstore I have ever experienced. They charged my girlfriend for her textbooks once, lost the shipment, and refunded her money. She goes in again to pick them up in person. Customer service does not inform her that they already charged her, and then the cashiers charged her again AFTERLOOKINGATTHEINVOICEFROMTHE«CUSTOMERSERVICE» DEPARTMENT. Now they are refusing to refund the double charge and claiming that they have no way to view an itemized list of what was purchased in order to see if the same books were bought twice. Even if you have to pay double what the book costs at Sierra College Bookstore just to purchase it from another company(which you will probably not have to do because the Sierra College Bookstore has the most inflated prices I have been able to find), please save yourself the headache and buy from a store that has at least half a clue what they are doing. Could all this trouble be because the Sierra College Bookstore is actually ran by Barnes and Noble?
