I love this place. Portion is just right and food tastes just so yummy. Too bad i didn’t take pictures. I was too busy eating food. Perhaps next time i will take pictures. Service is good, location is in right front of sierra college. I will definitely come back later when i come back from my vacation!

Always a good meal and the staff are friendly. The rolls are a little bland — could use a little more spicy sauce but that’s just my preference. Beer is cold and the sushi is plentiful! One of our regular spots.

Really like this place. Very good food, good service and fairly fast. Not too busy during the day but can pick up in the evening. Great quick spot to get sushi.

I wanted a salad and sushi for lunch so I decided to come try this place. I ordered a salad and the portion was pretty big compared to other places. It was cheap as well. The dressing was okay. I think it tasted more like mayo than anything else. I also got a tempura roll which was pretty good. I probably won’t order the salad again but might come back to try other rolls since I did like the roll I got.

I came in at 11:30 on a Thursday and it was not busy whatsoever, especially since they have only been open 30 minutes. The first thing I noticed was how big the place was compared to what I originally expected. For take-out, I ordered the two-item combination with chicken teriyaki and saba shioyaki. I feel as if the mackerel fillet should have been a little more generous. It made me happy knowing they had included a big slice of lemon to drizzle over the fillet. The chicken teriyaki was delicious. I drizzled the teriyaki sauce they provided in a little container all over my rice and meats and, don’t get me wrong it was good teriyaki sauce, but perhaps prepared with a little too much sugar, as it was super sweet. This combination also came with a side salad, but there was nothing special about this salad– it was simply iceberg lettuce with red cabbage and sliced carrots, which were hidden below the lettuce– I guess it’s all going to my stomach anyway, right? I think for presentation purposes the carrots and red cabbage should have been topped not hidden underneath all the green. The sauce needed more to it, as it tasted plain to me, like one step down from regular ranch sauce. For $ 13.92, I could have received the same service and quality food as many other places. This was my first time trying Tokyo Dori food, and I would come back. Though there was not anything special about here, it is convenient as I drive by here quite a bit. I wonder how the sushi tastes in quality since I have yet to try it. Maybe next time!

Good place to stop by for sushi. I highly recommend the Ninja roll. It’s close to Sierra college. Very friendly staff. Reasonable prices and good teriyaki

Love this place. It’s always a good bet for cheap craft beer pitchers and soft shelled crab appetizers.

I have been going to ILT for longer than I can remember. Their bento boxes and pot stickers are the standard I use when I compare every other teriyaki place(it’s hard to find a place that even comes close). Tommy the owner is incredibly hospitable to all of his customers and does anything he can to help make their experience better. For all the drinkers out there make sure you order the«green monster cocktail» you won’t be disappointed!

For almost 10 years now, Tokyo Dori has been my friends and mine tradition restaurant. Whenever we’re all back in town this is the place that we go. They have a comparable menu to other sushi restaurants in the Rocklin/Roseville area and the food is pretty good quality. The thing that impresses me most is that the owner of the restaurant is there daily and always goes the extra mile to converse with customers and be a good host. We may be spoiled because we’ve been returning to the restaurant for 10 years, but the owner, managers and wait staff are always friendly, quick and helpful. This is a great restaurant where you can get good sushi or teriyaki for a much better price than you would at Mikuni or Blue Nami.

Top notch Teriyaki. My favorite is the spicy pork plate. Fantastic flavor. Served with rice, broccoli and salad. The sushi is above average and they will make just about anything you can think of. Gyoza are tasty too.

Great quick sushi place! I came here between my classes just because I was hungry and craving sushi. It satisfies me! The atmosphere is pretty neat! My favorite part was the fish bowl in the wall with the beta fish! The menu looked great, lots of different option for all sushi eaters. You can even create your own roll, which is pretty awesome! Whenever I go to a new sushi place I always try a California roll, because if a sushi place can’t make a good California roll, odds are their sushi isn’t any good. It was pretty great! The quality was fresh, and the roll was nice. This isn’t a five star review because they didn’t wow me. I don’t feel the need to make special trips out there. But, If I’m in the area I’ll be sure to stop by. The rolls are 25% off of the posted prices, which helps make the bill a little less expensive. Overall, not a bad sushi place! Give it a shot if your in the area.

Located in the perfect location in a corner across from Sierra College, this place is your go to place for sushi in the Rocklin area(they also have a TV to catch all your sports games). The food is fresh and the service is on point and consistent every time we come here. I used to come here all the time with my family and then they moved so I come here with my boyfriend’s family. The rolls are 25% off so that’s a plus and you can definitely tell the difference in the freshness of the fish as well as the other foods compared to other sushi restaurants. The servers are so attentive and stay consistent in delivering great service. The owner is always hanging out and working as well. My boyfriend’s family comes in so often, he knows what we all order and he makes sure to make his rounds saying«hello» to you and make sure you’re taken care of. If you’re going to have a place be your«go-to» sushi spot, choose Tokyo Dori.

Hadn’t been here in over a year, but was in the neighborhood and decided to drop in for dinner. Food was good and the servers were very attentive, which was great. Unfortunately, it was much pricier than when we were last in. Our youngest daughter ordered the Bento box with 4 pcs sashimi dinner. When received the bill we saw that the Bento Box was $ 17.95! Good grief! We’ll need to save up awhile before we can afford to return.

Ok place, honestly, once you’ve tried one of these places, you’ve tried them all. I went there after my finals because it’s across the street. The service honestly sucked. They wouldn’t let us in because we were early by 5 minutes.

Well whatta ya know! Another overpriced teriyaki place. Gee, let me guess — could this one be so expensive for what you get because they’re a couple of inches away from La Granite Bay? Hmm, perhaps… Whatever, this little college area strip mall is most certainly not worth paying $ 22 for one meal! My lord, who do they think they are, Mikuni?! In their dreams…

When we went they weren’t very busy but I like how spacious it is inside and well decorated. The bathrooms were very clean, which is a big thing in my book! I got the Lion King roll and it was easily the best I’ve ever had! Unfortunately I gave it four instead of five stars cause it was kind of pricey /: there are a lot better/cheaper deals around for sushi. But the quality was great!

I get that there are a lack of authentic Asian restaurants in the Rocklin/Roseville area. So it’s no surprise to me that this restaurant would be serving Americanized-Japanese food. I have been here 2 times before(a best friend’s favorite), however my experience from last night has rendered me to write a one star review. It was the aforementioned friend’s 30th bday dinner. Why she chose this restaurant to celebrate such a milestone is still beside me, but let me get to the reasons for the low rating: –Waited 15 minutes for a glass of water. Wouldn’t have been a big deal only it was an especially warm night and it was the bday girl’s water. The waiter claims they were out of cups. 6 tables full of dirty cups and dishes and no one bothered to clear the tables. They had beer steins and pint glasses, but because they were out of plastic Pepsi cups, she couldn’t get water?! After asking for the third time, a waitress finally uses a styrofoam cup. –Not only did they forget to give us utensils but it took 40 minutes to get our food… well at least three of the 10 of us. So by the time everyone else was practically done with their food, we got ours. But let me point out that it took 40MINUTES to prepare nigiri. The thing where you slice a piece of fish and slap it on top of a small ball of rice. –I ordered the Sunshine roll $ 10.95. The experience was far from it. The roll was covered with their mayonnaise sauce and the slices of salmon were so thin that the roll just tasted like a imitation crab mush of rice-mayo. And all the while trying to ingest something(anything) to prepare for a night of drinking I came across a crunch… a salmon bone! Not once, but 3 times. The waiter claimed they lost our order. Even the owner came around to apologize and said they were short staffed and the computer didn’t print out our tickets for some reason or another. He treated us all to a shot of «premium» sake(retail at $ 9.99 a bottle according to the owner). While i understand the restaurant business is hard, the major lack of service for less than mediocre food was just unacceptable.
