I was reminded of why I should go to Lowe’s instead of Home Depot for my home repair needs. I needed a replacement part for my home’s well pump, and it took me more time to be provided service than it took my brother time to find the pump on his own. I first searched for an associate for about 10 minutes, and I was ostensibly being avoided, as were other wandering customers. I don’t care if your store was preparing for Black Friday. You need to schedule people to have a sufficient number of them to assist customers. The only reason this review has 2 stars and not 1, is that I found one associate by the name of Doug in the paint department who directed me to the service desk in a courteous manner. I then waited for what seemed for at least another 8 minutes while my brother went to find the part we needed. He found it with no help from Home Depots associates, and before I was helped by the service desk associates, who, in their defense, we’re busy assisting other customers. Overall, what should’ve been a simple trip to the store ended up being a very frustrating and exacerbating experience.

The delivery service of T.E.D. TRANSIT is phenomenal and he usually offers same day or next day guaranteed. He can do a lot with his delivery truck. Highly recommended

The Home Depot Customer Service Nightmares Ended!
After many frustrating trips to HD over the last few weeks and encountering incompetent, indifferent, or just plain willful disregard from HD employees… there is a light — or rather two!
Please seek out Matt in at the Pro Desk or Mike in Electrical. These guys saved my morning. Matt helped me navigate throught other departments (lumber, millwork and electrical), hunted down every last item on my list for me. Here, he and Mike worked together to finish my electrical list (more than $ 950.) and then Matt volunteeered to check me out at the Pro Desk rather than push the carts to the dreaded check-​out area.
You guys are the best, too bad all of the staff can’t be like Matt or Mike.

This review is for their advertising of Water Heaters «Same Day Service» they offer. I went to Home Depot to replace my Water Heater due to their same day service. Luckily they don’t have you pay for the water heater until the service people call you. They could not tell us how much it would be for service at Home Depot. We picked out a water heater and they called service who was busy so service was supposed to call us back within 15 minutes. A couple hours later their service company called us back and first of all said since it was a Sunday, they don’t do service on Sunday’s. O.k. … That I might understand IF they said that in their advertising or even if the Home Depot worker would have told us that. After all that is the only reason we went there in the first place. Then the lady on the phone for service said they could do it tomorrow. So we set up a time and they gave us the price. Water heater was around $ 500. that we had picked out. With service it would be close to $ 1,1000. WHAT? Around $ 600. for installation??? We immediately canceled our order and ended up getting another company to install their water heater (compatible brand) for $ 450. less. Buyer beware with Home Depots installation prices.

a week and no refund yet they take it and u pay hell getting your money back dig this now they say it’ll take another week to get my money after i paid in cash so it’ll be a whole 2 ½ weeks to get my money

I’d like to say I’m handy, but trips here are a little daunting. A giant warehouse filled with awesome gadgets and tools, wood, tiles, carpeting, painting supplies, and plants, Home Depot is similar to most other huge hardware stores.
This location is just behind the Hooters and IHOP off Perryville, has a ridiculously large parking lot and is a little difficult to get to when maneuvering through the intersection by Best Buy.
My most recent trip included a search for sand paper and painters tape. Though I do get overwhelmed, the employees are generally pretty helpful, walking me to an aisle and finding the right brand/​kind of product I need for my project. Without much for price comparison (not my usual purchase and didn’t do research), the tape and paper were reasonable. I really appreciate the self-​checkout options available and all four kiosks were able to be used.
