My boyfriend and I came here the other night for dinner and the food was fantastic! It was a nice, relaxing place to eat meanwhile the service was great. Our server was so nice and the entire atmosphere of the restaurant was just relaxed. I would go back again soon!

The Garden Grille and Bar is Rockaway Townsquare’s hidden gem. This establishment, located in the open lobby of The Rockaway Hilton Garden Inn is open to all patronage, not just hotel guests. This contemporary casual dining spot proposes a variety of culinary and beverage options in a lounge-like setting accented by candlelight. The menu is approachable and offers vegetarian and gluten free options as well as comfort food and light fare. If you are looking for a quick snack they also have several appetizers including a BBQ chicken flat bread, wings, and Asian dumplings to name a few. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and prompt. I was informed that the specials menu is updated monthly and February’s menu was indeed impressive. I was recommended the poached pear for dessert and it was heaven on Earth! Whether you are looking for a place to go for appetizers and drinks, a romantic dinner before seeing a movie at the theater located in the same shopping center, or a quiet place to sip coffee and work on your lap top, The Garden Grille and Bar is the perfect place.

The Garden Grille & Bar is a quiet place to enjoy a few cocktails after work. Sometimes I’ll grab a its to eat. The menu always has a creative spin on classic dishes with monthly specials that will knock your socks off. The servers are friendly and the bartenders will always keep the conversation going!

We were the only folks at the restaurant that night. The bartender/waiter advised us we can sit wherever we’d like, fine. There are four of us, and the well intentioned waiter comes by with 2 menus. We promptly asked for two more menus. The salad i ordered with my meal was cold and lifeless, The fish entrée i received was dull, lacking in flavor and freshness. My wife’s salmon was less than desirable, again lacking flavor and freshness. It is very clear to me that management should hire a real chef and professional waiter staff. Simply put, this was truly an embarrassment. I didn’t have the heart to tell the waiter that everything was awful. Oh, by the way the service was poor, despite being the only patrons in the restaurant. It took at least a couple of hours to leave the restaurant.
