The Sandbar

Was kinda hesitant to eat here just by looks, not that it dirty or anything, just didn’t look that nice of a place. But I’m glad I stopped in and ate! The staff is awesome and the food is great!

Lights too bright and music too loud. However, we love the food! Great wings and loaded baked potatoes. The windows are darkened really well so those outside can’t see in. They have entertainment most nights — but we are early birds and have never experienced it.

New in town and went here on a whim. LOVED IT! Wings were meh but the menu is huge! Mac was perfect with a little hot sauce. And they have trivia and karaōke!

We went to Sandbar for trivia. The trivia host Tiny, is awesome and puts on a good show. The service was very slow, took 10 minutes to get a beer. As we tried to order, we found out they were out of French fries and boneless wings. I got a build you own chicken sandwich with a sweet potato. The sandwich was good, but they brought out chips. 10 minutes later my sweet potato finally came out with no butter or brown sugar. I know it is a small place and more of a local hangout, but I expected better than this.

Been there a couple of times.
Aged steaks are good. Tender. Flavorful. Best in area.
Owner personable. Greeted us first time. Haven’t seen since then.
Wait staff does good job. Make sure your drinks are full & fresh.

Love this place!!! Food is great and the owner and staff are wonderful! It’s nice to have a great place for dinner and drinks in the neighborhood! They are also karaōke and live bands!

Great food and good prices! Way better than the last restaurant that was there. Place was much cleaner too. They also had a free pool table that kept the kids entertained. Would definitely recommend.

So I guess this place just opened and I went expecting one of my former neighborhood hotspots that used to inhabit this building. After waiting 15 minutes to even be acknowledged in a less than crowded atmosphere I was finally able to get a peek at this super disappointing menu! Overpriced barfood and three kinds of overpriced steaks Of which half the menu they were completely out of already. So I had one beer and was completely over the whole place… Even onto the receipt for my one beer Which had no place to Tip and was from a sketchy place called airport auto-​sales On the other side of town not even near the restaurant where I was sitting. With hours from only 11 AM to 9 PM This place is a far cry from the Awesome neighborhood Establishment I so desperately hoped it would be. Good luck to the Sandbar… they are definitely going to need it! I miss Hooper’s!

This bar use to be called Hoopers and now it’s under new ownership. They remodeled the place well and it isn’t as nasty as it use to be. Service was ok and the food was decent. Small menu. Check out DJ Paco Friday nights for Karaōke.
