Came here for a quick breakfast after running some errands. Outstanding service, both of the workers were very accommodating. The atmosphere is that of a small New York café, and I highly recommend the Broadway(a tuna melt). And they will honor their free coffee or soda with a check in, with any beverage! Highly recommend checking this place out.

I’m on a mission to try every sandwich on the menu. Seriously, this place is so good. Fast service and excellent food, plus the owner(Ted) is so friendly! I’ve had the Charlotte, the poplar(bomb 3 cheese grilled cheese, comes with hearty tomato soup). However, the Caroline(unsure of the name) is by far my favorite. It has grilled artichoke and basil Ricotta– and the basil ricotta is amazing. Today I finally tried to plate wrap! Update: the plate wrap is out of this world. Will possibly gain 100 pounds after discovering this.

Tedwards, like many other Unilocaler’s have already said, is a hidden gem in a really boring part of downtown. I stop by all the time for a breakfast sandwich and coffee. Their cookies by the register are the bomb, be sure to get one if you stop in. Ted is such a nice guy too, I love that he is always there and so hands on with his business, you can tell he has put a lot of passion into Tedward’s. Him and the rest of his staff are all lovely. Prices are good and the lunch options are great as well, I love that they have vegetarian options that aren’t just grilled cheese or random veggies on bread. I only wish they were open on Sunday’s!

So if you don’t work downtown within walking distance it’s tricky. I literally spent 5 minutes driving in circles. Park at the South Ave garage and walk over. I had the soup and sandwich combo with the tomato basil soup. OMG I love soup, it’s kinda my thing. This soup with the crunchy pumpernickel croutons was so fresh tasting. Seriously one of the best soups I’ve had in the city!

Came by here twice, great little local shop. The owner is very nice, and they have a good selection of sandwiches. I came by for breakfast twice, the coffee is locally roasted and quite good.

Awesome sandwiches, muffins, coffee, and soups. They have something brand new every time I eat here — today I got the chicken burger for the first time, and just like everything else it was fantastic. Ted is also a great guy — very friendly, helpful, and always remembers you when you come in. If you want a delicious, unique sandwich come to Tedwards.

I LOVE tedwards. For one, the staff is great. From the moment you walk in, you are greeted, and then remember your face each visit, which makes me feel so welcomed! Secondly, I think I could eat their Broadway melt basically every day. The bread is fantastic and really compliments everything on it! It’s a cute little café/deli that I really recommend going to! Never a long wait either!

Looking for a big sandwich to fill your stomach with?! You need to go to Tedwards. The BLT is so good. Sometimes you may need to ask for that because it may not be on the menu. One day it was a special with alfalfa sprouts and it made a classic sandwich that much better! I also get the Charlotte if I need to be in and out. They offer sides and soup. It is a good price for the amount of food you get.

Red wards is your average sandwich shop, and prices are reasonable. Reuben sandwich a good choice, cookies pricy.

I love coming to Tedwards in the morning right before I go to work! They make delicious breakfast sandwiches and the coffee is always hot and fresh! I like that the atmosphere is so laid back. It is really a nice place to relax and have breakfast and watch the news before I go in for a busy day. Plus, Josh is always so friendly and knows my order right when I walk up to the counter.

So this is my second time here and it is super cute if you come during lunch the atmosphere is pretty casual some people are dressed up some aren’t! It’s pretty chill the lady at the front is so nice and does a good job customer servicing it is kinda small but it’s cozy the furniture is nice! But they definitely have my vote the food is also affordable! If you haven’t give them a try.

Solid downtown eatery! Quality sammiches at an average of $ 6.50 a pop. Walking distance from the Chase tower and steps from the Hilton. This is a hidden gem as it is located in the corner of Stone and Main. They have a wide range of sandwiches, wraps and paninis… and delishiz soups! They even offer to press regular cold sandwiches to give it that extra yum finish. They have daily specials, so I suggest you follow them on FB for the day to day options. This week they started a «Neighbor Appreciation Day» promotion for downtown businesses. Just show your work badge on the participating day and receive 10% off your order! They have a small seating area with about 5 tables for 4. Very neat and clean place to go on break with the coworkers or meet up your downtown buddies. I will update my review when I try their breakfast :)

I tasted why this place is highly rated. They take their work seriously as I take my eating. Why waste about 500 calories of your daily allotment in a mediocre sandwich? I will return for the Cuban sandwich. I wish these folks the best of success. They deserve it. I am hoping that as the new Hilton hotel opens across the street it will give them steady business. One suggestion: Chef jackets will give this place a classier air.

I ordered take out from here yesterday. I tried finding a menu on line and couldn’t find one. I called and asked for a turkey club style sandwich. Normally turkey clubs are a hot sandwich and it happened to be cold. I ended up getting a turkey, bacon and provolone sandwich. The sandwich was bigger than my face. It was huge. I could only a third of it. No complaints on the taste of the sandwich. The place is small and does get busy. If I go there again, I will just get it to go.

This is a small«mom and pop» shop. It’s not a sit-down meal restaurant; it has more of a coffee shop feel. The owners are super-friendly, clearly trying to build/run the business. Independents are so the way to go(over the big chains, of course). I got a basic breakfast sandwich; good taste and not greasy(!)(as so many of these places can be) Overheard: «People are so excited, they’re actually calling in their sandwiches!» It’s smack downtown with a friendly relaxed atmosphere and good food cooked to order. I’ll be back.

Went for a late lunch on a Friday. Staff was friendly and helpful. Food was hot and delicious. Had The Broadway(tuna melt on rye with Pepperjack) and a cup of Clam Chowder. Would definitely go again. Close to work in downtown

Had a bit of time to spare before class, so checked Unilocal and came here on a whim. This shop is not located in the most happening part of town, but it’s definitely making a bit of a detour for. I ordered the hot sandwich with the pulled pork, swiss cheese, pickle, and mustard. All of the sandwiches available are shown in a display case on the inside(complete with info about ingredients and whether it comes hot or cold), which makes it really easy to order. Plus, if you don’t see anything you like, you can ask them to create something for you. The sandwiches are all around the range of $ 6.50. There was one woman manning the counter when I went — it’s a pretty small place, so I would imagine this is usually the case. As a result(and the fact that the hot sandwiches are made in front of you on the stove), there can be a bit of a wait during lunch. There is plenty of seating available towards the back. No wifi though so this won’t be my new study space. :([Edit: There is now wifi! Woo!] The sandwich I got was absolutely delicious. No complaints whatsoever. Granted I may have just moved to Rochester, but I would say this was the best meal I’ve had here to date! Their chocolate chip /raisin cookies are okay, but nothing special, so I would pass on those unless you’re really feeling that sweet tooth. The line can get quite intense around lunch hour. Other sandwiches I’ve since tried: Chipotle Chicken — comes on a crispy flatbread. Just the right about of spice so that you feel it, but it’s not overbearing. Would recommend!

Tedward’s Café and Catering is a small breakfast and lunch café in the Alliance Building in downtown Rochester. Their lunch menu features premium hot and cold sandwiches. I tried their hot Cordon Bleu sandwich which was outstanding. The antipasto salad was also impressive and freshly made. Tedward’s is a wonderful addition to the local lunch scene, and I will be returning to try it again.
