Hesitant to go based on reviews, however my daughter really wanted to go. Glad we did. Had the nicest server, he was very friendly and attentive to my family. Good was good, all came out at the same time. According to other reviews maybe they are stepping up their customer service. Plus they have new food on the menu, we tried the cheese fondue and it was really good. I would go back.

Horrible service. We waited 15 from the time we sat until we finally got something to drink. And the place was nearly empty. So irritated but didn’t have time to go somewhere else before my kid had to be to work so I only got a house salad.

I’m so done. I haven’t been to this location in quite a while due to their terrible service and the inability to decipher between rare and medium rare steak. The broccoli was not cook or streamed, and I received exactly ten fries. Yes, I counted them. Outback executives need to go undercover and investigate their restaurants. Good service and good food is all most customers desired. Are we really asking too much? Look at photo of my steak and tell me is this cooked, medium rare.

Did call ahead seating… Still had to wait a half hour. They were on a 50 minute wait but had about five tables sitting empty. Guest were getting really angry, asking if they could just have the table and the host explained how they didn’t have enough servers to accommodate how busy they were. So of course our service was mediocre. Not her fault, she was just really busy. I am giving them three stars because despite the bad service and long wait, the food was absolutely perfect! Had the 9 oz filet cooked medium rare with garlic butter, a loaded baked potato, & blue cheese wedge!

I’m not sure what the clever idea of making someone who made a reservation wait an hour to be seated. We were told our«wait time» would begin at the time of our reservation. So I guess I have to recommend not making a reservation. You’ll get in earlier. When seated we noted a lot of open tables, yet many people were still waiting. The dishes were sticky dirty. Disappointing.

Been waiting here over an hour after call in said 10 mins. Plenty of empty tables. Place is in complete chaos. Whoever shouts loudest gets seated I like outback but this is just hopeless. Manager or… Is there one. Front staff are untrained and hopeless. The waitress was excellent as was the food

We avoid chain restaurants at all costs but we also have two small children. Occasionally, we like to dine out with them but that’s somewhat like dining with drunken shrunken folk so chains are our best bet. We never expect anything great when we do this. But this, this was by far one of the worst dining experiences we’ve ever had. We checked in online beforehand because we like to stack the deck in our favor as much as possible. We did this at 5pm. FIVE. No one is dining at 5 except seniors and desperate fools like us. Still, we checked in. When we walked in there had to be about 30 people waiting. It was crazy. Crazier than that? There were about 12 – 15 open tables. And yet, everyone sat there waiting. We were finally seated after about 20 min. Service was sloooooow. We’re pretty tolerant people but this was especially bad. Our food was okay, but after waiting so long, our kids were getting all drunken shrunken like and we were simply trying to survive. They could have served it on the floor and it would have worked. Bottom line, if you’re thinking about this place, ABORT! ABORTTHEMISSION!!!

Went here for my little brothers birthday dinner, the restaurant had very few customers. Service was very slow and got worse as the evening progressed. Once we received our food after waiting a while and the food was Luke warm as if it was sitting out for 10 minutes. Services continued to be terrible. And to top it all off, the next day my dad’s girlfriend could not eat anything with out throwing it up.

I typically try to avoid these types of chain restaurants, but unfortunately I lost the vote and this trip was unavoidable. It has been at least 3 years since I was last at this Outback, and it seems as if I’m not the only one. This place was as empty as I’ve ever seen it(there were empty booths in nearly ever section of the restaurant) and yet there was a 35 – 45 minute wait. Riddle me that. The background music that they played was entirely too loud, and quite possibly the strangest mix of what seemed to be music from the Disney Channel circa the early 2000’s. Our waitress was friendly, but was so hard to get a hold of. She handed us the menus, and we didn’t see her again for probably 15 minutes. At this point I was starting to get hangry :( We flagged down every waitress we could to get our waitress, so that we could order. Once we finally did, our food didn’t come out for nearly 30 minutes. For how empty this place was, that is absolutely unacceptable. I tried to tell myself that maybe all that pain and suffering would be worth it when the food finally got there, but again, I was sadly mistaken. I ordered a California chicken sandwich, and there was absolutely no seasoning on it. It was AWFUL. Perhaps that was my fault– ordering something other than a cheap steak at a «steakhouse», but it was almost as if they didn’t even try. I very much regret coming here, and I honestly cannot recommend it.

Very slow service, food was overcooked and took forever to come, and was almost impossible to get a refill. Save your money and especially your time and go elsewhere. Food and service is not worth it!

I was in disbelief when I read all the bad reviews about this Outback location, and I wanted to give them a chance and see for myself. Plus, I was craving a steak so I went there. I wish I hadn’t, this was the single worst restaurant experience ever! As my visit progressed I started looking for the hidden camera, but I was not on TV… But let’s start at the beginning. I entered the place on Sunday at 6:45. I’d say only 30−40% of the tables were occupied. I was greeted by the friendly Maitre’d and my table would soon be ready. Seriously? There were at least a dozen free tables, but since I was alone he wanted to seat me at the bar or a table for two. And apparently these were scarce and not cleaned yet. Dirty dishes, yuck! But a server quickly showed up, cleared the table and I was seated. Now I was in the mood for steak, and the Maitre’d pointed out their no worries three course special. I get my sirloin, plus soup or salad and a dessert for a good price. So I order this meal with an 8oz. sirloin. Guess what happens next? «I think we’re out of 8oz sirloin» Seriously? He goes to double check, and alas, only 6oz sirloins. He continues to list which steaks are sold out and which aren’t, but since I want sirloin, I settle for the 6oz and choose to invest the $ 4 I saved in coconut shrimps for starters. I also order the French onion soup, and get the obligatory bread which I love. He takes the specials menu with him and leaves(this will become important later on). After a short while, the shrimps show up. They should be golden but are dark brown in some places. Taste a bit burnt too, but when I removed the dark parts of the crust, the rest was okay, so no complaints here. Next the soup shows up. I used to love the creamy onion soup, but now you get this insult to the palate. The onion soup is average, on top of the soup floats a gob of cheese that evades my attempts to part it with my spoon by submerging. Who comes up with these recipes? Each time I submerge the cheese I get a spoonful of soup, and as the soup level falls, I manage to finally part the cheese into pieces that fit the spoon. Ok, this is something I’ll never order again, but this is not the restaurant’s fault. Now my steak shows up. A small 3″ piece, which I ordered medium. Oh well. I start off with my baked potato with sour cream, which tastes ok. Next I cut the steak, only to find it’s raw, with only the outer 1/20″ browned. So I ask the Maitre’d, who stands behind me, if he thinks this is medium. «Oh, I don’t know anything about steaks, you’d have to ask the manager about this». Seriously??? He works as Maitre’d in a steakhouse and doesn’t know his steaks? So I get the manager, she apologizes and takes my steak with her. A few minutes later she shows up with my steak and a new baked potato. «I don’t know what you had, so I put butter on it». Well, she could have asked or asked my waiter, but I didn’t want any more delays, so I told her it was okay. The steak was acceptable now, not as tender as I’m used to, but meat can vary, so that’s ok. Now the waiter shows up again asking me if I want desert. I ask for the menu again(!), but am pointed to the desert menu. I ask that the desert is part of the no worries menu, right? He confirms this. So I pick cheesecake and tell him to make that to go, since I’m full. No problem, he says. Why it takes 10 minutes to cut a piece of cake is beyond me, but he shows up eventually with the cake and the check. And now I’m in for a surprise! There’s an inexplicable $ 1 surcharge, and another $ 1.99 for the cheesecake. What the??? I ask the new Maitre’d(the other guy was gone) what the surcharge was, but she had no idea either, so I had her get me the no worries menu and got me my waiter. He explains that the onion soup was not available as part of the menu. I double checked the menu. It only lists the choice of salads, not the soups, so naturally you assume you can pick any soup. He offers to take the $ 1 off the check. I proceed to tell him that he should have advised me of the $ 1.99 surcharge for cheesecake, since I specifically asked him if that was part of the menu and he didn’t bring back the no worries menu so that I would have seen this coming. He apologized again, but didn’t take the $ 1.99 off the check. Oh well. I was so fed up at this point that I didn’t want the cheesecake anymore. I took it anyway since I paid for it. Will I return? Definitely not! The only reason this place doesn’t get one star is that they had a waitress going around offering samples, which I thought was nice.

Outback is my favorite chain restaurant for steaks. I was a little annoyed recently that the steak I usually get(6 oz. Outback Special, now called Outback Sirloin), went from $ 9.99 to $ 11.99, but it’s always a tasty meal. {side note: they also need to bring back their sweet potato fries! Those were so good. Though the new garlic parmesan fries are also very good, with the aioli dipping sauce too.} I had never been to this location before, but the one closest to me, Madison Heights, isn’t that great, and I was meeting friends here. The layout of this one is a little unusual but I liked it, it’s on the end of a shopping plaza. I got to the restaurant before the 5 others in my party and the waitress brought fresh bread and waters for everyone. There was a little confusion on if happy hour was still happening or not, when I asked, but indeed it was(I think it’s like 4−6pm weekdays), and we got HUGE beers for the price of a regular-sized one. I ordered my usual 6 oz. Outback sirloin but what I was unimpressed with is that the salad it came with came with the whole meal — this may have been because no one else in my party had ordered a steak /a side salad, but usually the salad comes out first, which not only left me with 3 big plates(and 6 of us at the table, so it was a little squished) but me feeling like I had to scarf down my salad. One of the ladies with us had a blue cheese allergy, and apparently the dish she ordered came without blue cheese(at her request) but ALSO came with a blue cheese dressing, so kudos on the server(not the waitress, but server) for catching that in time … that would not have been good. Overall this location was fine — not fantastic, but definitely not bad either. I would come here over the MH location since I haven’t had good experiences at that one.

I have been here twice and both times my experience was bad. The service was poor and the food wasn’t very good. I am in no way faulting the outback chain. It was only this location that was bad. Try the one near Hall Rd. The service and food there have always been great.

Had $ 90 worth of gift cards to use, so myself(with three others) went to this Outback and had a great time! The wait was only about 10 minutes on a Saturday night. The service was amazing, the food was all good, and we had a good time in the hour we were there from walking in to walking out.

We placed a curbside pickup for Saturday evening. When we got home one of our dinners were missing. Luckily we don’t leave too far away and we drove back to get the other entrée. We had to wait for them to prepare the entrée all the while the rest of our dinner was getting cold. The only thing they offered for our trouble was a coupon for a free appetizer on our next visit. I don’t think we will be returning and using the coupon.

The absolute worst experience I’ve ever had. I understand this is outback, but this was below even their standards… From the simple bread and water taking 10 minutes, to our appetizers being all burnt to crisp, steaks being hard to cut/eat at medium temp. The staff was overwhelmed and not helpful whatsoever… Worst over all experience I’ve ever had.

We have been disappointed by this location in the past, but the service had always made up for the issues. It has been quite some time since we have gone to this location, we had to do shopping in the area so we thought we would give it another try. We should not have bothered. We waited 10 minutes to be seated in a half empty restaurant. Once seated we waited another 10 minutes for the server to come by to take our drink order. At this time we gave him our appetizer order: Aussie Cheese Fries. After 15 additional minutes, we had yet to actually order, our appetizer arrives. When the server set down the plate we had to ask if it was a full order. There are more fries in a large fast food order of fries than the amount of fries that were in the $ 8.99 appetizer that arrived at our table. At this point we decided that when the waiter arrived we would just ask for the bill and be done. After another 5 minutes passed the waiter came, we told him we were done and asked for the check. He told us to wait a moment… couple minutes more passed and a manager arrived stating they would comp the drinks and appetizer and asked if we would like to stay for dinner. We declined the offer, thanking her for the offer. She put us on a list to receive a complimentary meal but i doubt we will take them up on the generous offer.

I give them 4 stars for value. While they are nowhere close to something like a Ruth Chris, their steak is hard to beat for the price. We have gone to this location many times in the last 10 years — and while they are not always perfect, their steak is consistently good. And when they have made mistakes they have done good at correcting it.
