Move With A Smile

Very professional crew and timely. All my items were moved with care and efficiently packed into the POD storage container that I rented. I only wish that they were able to provide rates per hour instead of the mandatory 2hr rate since my move was completed in 30 minutes. Other than that, I have no complaints.

Showed up on time, worked hard, and were pleasant to deal with. Robb was the main contact and all communication we had was over email, which I prefer. If you don’t have a check, they can send you the bill via PayPal, which is a nice feature. I would definitely recommend them to everyone.

I cannot say enough about the service. Booking was easy and I had to change the move time last minute and they were more than willing. Robb and Spencer were on time, very professional and took great care of the furniture and made sure we were completely satisfied when done. I highly reccomend.

I’d like to start by saying that we’ve moved every two years for the past two decades or so, so we have quite a bit of experience with all types of movers… and I mean all types…
We contacted SML movers because we had a number of very heavy items that we needed help moving into a rental truck and pack rat container. The guys from Move With a Smile were the agents assigned to us. In reading the previous review, I’m unsure of the nature of the communication issue, but it may be because both of the movers are hearing impaired. Which may be why the follow up was all done via text and email. That said, we had absolutely no problems communicating with them at all.
Both men showed up earlier than expected and were ready to get started right away. Our move was complicated because we were dividing one household into two. They took time to speak with us about what items were going into what container, then got to work.
Between the two of them, they were able to move a king sized Tempurpedic like it was nothing, without dragging it on the ground once. They even dismantled our bed frame for us which I wasn’t expecting but was pleasantly surprised about. Once it was loaded they ran back into the house to get to the next item, literally… they worked with a sense of urgency and energy that we found incredibly refreshing. We’ve never had movers that were so delightful to be around and worked so hard. Within the three hours we booked they had moved ¾ of the items in hour house. All that was left was the small stuff we could load ourselves.
We were also blown away that the two of them simply lifted and moved our front loading Electrolux washer and dryer set (which is EXTREMELY heavy and cumbersome) down the stairs, through the house, and into our container with no issues whatsoever.
These two definitely took a lot of the work out of our move, and we were grateful to have them. My husband and I are really hoping to book them again to help us unload our container in August.

Before we actually connected I wrote a less positive review due to difficulty reaching them by phone. When it was actually time for me to move though I used the Uhaul reference again and I ended up booking Movewithasmile anyway because they were the best price. Since no telephone contact was necessary the booking, and all follow up questions were easily accomplished via email and texting.
On the day of the move the two assistants that I had contracted for were there and on time (actually early). They immediately got to work, first staging my things by the elevator and then once there was enough to load on they split up and one man began getting things into the elevator and onto the truck while the other continued to stage. Basically we finished the move out way ahead of schedule.
They followed me to my new location in their own vehicle and were just as efficient moving me in to the new place as they had been previously.
Overall, It was a great experience and I would totally recommend Move with a smile to any of my friends who are moving.
