Martind has closed after summer 2014. Cumberland farms bought the property and is expanding. Martins will be missed. Great slaw, onion rings and fried scallops.

Excellent road side find. Great burgers and fries. The onion rings were some of the best I’ve eaten. I had a pastrami sandwich, with special sauce. The pastrami was tasty and not too fatty. The kids meals had generous portions of fries, and a special round tuit.

The baby ice cream was HUMONGOUS! and for $ 1.00 !! I could not eat a small(which is bigger) The«baby» one was too big, but I made due… haha. Coffee ice cream. Real ice cream, not soft serve, not fake crap. De-lish! Before the ice cream, of course I had to have some fried clams. sooo yummy. Small whole belly clams. Not huge disgusting ones, but the small ipswich clams that they are famous for serving. I have never had a bad meal here(but I only order the clams and onion rings-nothing else… oh, except ice cream)

I lived in Rochester for 20 years, and this place is a landmark… to put it lightly. Their onion rings are amazing, and that is being very, very modest. I could just eat them all day. Their burgers are spectacular. Not too greasy, great amount of sauce, the lettuce is always crunchy. in other words: perfect: At least for me. I would recommend this to everyone and anyone who visits the area. If you are heading up north, stop in here for lunch. I promise that you will not be disappointed.

this place feels all old-timey and awesome. the menu has your standard fried foods and sandwiches and they do everything exactly how you’d want/expect from a drive-in restaurant. it reminds me of the 1950s even though i was born 30 years later. the burgers are delicious and the location is great, especially for campers(there are at least two campgrounds in the area). it’s all retro and cute here. i want to pinch martin’s drive-in’s cheeks.

After a long shop up the road, at Stonewall Kitchens, Dennis and I stopped in for a late lunch. A cute old fashioned drive-in with outside picnic tables, under cover. All types of fried goodness are available. Fried fish and seafood, clams, shrimps, scallops. Burgers and fries, onion rings. I had a lobster roll basket for $ 12.00. Dennis had a burger n fries. Lobster roll come in a buttered hot dog bun w/lettuce in mild mayo sauce. The sandwiches come in a cute waxed paper bag with«Martin’s Drive-In» logo. Very old fashioned. Service was fast and friendly, to us, however pets not allowed on the grounds. Poor Jack had to stay in the car. :-(
