I am definitely not impressed. Starting with that, there are certain positive points. If you often go to Wegmans’s for Sushi then this place is the place to go. More so if you are a person that loves a good price deal then you will be impressed. Dollar wise this is a 5STAR deal. For $ 20 per person you can not lose. First of all you have the choice of what you order in this ‘All you can eat’ deal. This is rare, really rare. More so when I have been on an all you can eat deal they can be very, very slow, so slow that you may lose a birthday while waiting for more ‘all you can eat’ food. At this place there was no long time for more food when you asked. Not only can you decide what sushi you want, you also have appetizers, soups and salads to choose from. And YES, you also can order as much of those items too. BUT, do not over order. Just like your parents may have been mad if your eye’s were bigger then your stomach, this place MAY charge you extra if you over order. Seems fair to me. It is possible that the short wait when asking for more food is a result of slow business. I was here last Saturday night at 7 o’clock. That time is so called restaurant PRIME time. There was only one other table filled, and it was a woman and a child. They left almost immediately when my table of 4 came in. A few negative points: I did not notice but the other three people all smelled rotten eggs. Then there was the 50ish year old woman I believe is the owner/sushi chef, certainly not a charmer. Not one smile the entire time we were there, and we were the only people… None the less she was quick with the sushi and the rolls were very tight. The sushi rice was much more rice, not so much sushi vinegar taste. Then, finally there was the temperature. We all were frozen; we all left our winter coats on most of the time. I am almost certain we will come here again. But don’t be too generous with the tip; I gave the woman a 30% tip. Don’t you think she might have smiled? If you do go, Please tell me if it’s in my mind or if it’s her with that special warmth…-not. I have to know ;)

All the sushi places in Rochester look yucky from the outside and I haven’t trusted any of them while living here. Tonight I finally decided to try a place for sushi delivery, and this place had good reviews. I am satisfied with my order because the food is very fresh and good quality. I ordered their gyoza which was great, shrimp tempura which was OK, and a california roll which was great too. The sushi is much fresher than wegmans and so well priced! If you’re iffy about trying sushi places like I was, order from here!

I saw great reviews for this place and decided to check it out. It did not disappoint. The sushi was amazing and fresh. The sushi chef was very friendly and offered us a lot of advice and different types to try. The«From the Grill» section of the menu is perfect for those who don’t like sushi. I ordered the chicken from the grill and it came with fried rice and seasonal vegetables. Everything was fresh, tasty and cooked to perfection. I would definitely recommend this place.

Best sushi in town! I always order the all you can eat for $ 20 every time I go. Great sushi, great service and the all you can eat menu is delicious!

The only place I’ll go for sushi! I have been going here since they first opened. Nancy the sushi chef is amazing! She really does it all! The fish is always fresh tasting and they have many unique rolls. I definitely recommend ordering the chef maki and/or Mexican roll. All the sashimi is good. If you go for lunch they have very affordable roll and sashimi specials. Another plus is if someone in your party wants Chinese instead you can order that as well. I really can’t say enough good things about this place.

Accidentally rated this place instead of the one down the road. Didn’t actually eat here but based on the ratings seems like it’d be good.

The olive tuna sashimi is beyond amazing. Fresh and good quality olive oil is used. Fresh shrimp spring rolls? Yes please. Keep em coming. Spicy combo roll? Best I’ve ever had. nancy the sushi chef is amazing. Ask for any kind of chef special and you WONT be disappointed. Grab some grub from next door for take out for lunch tomorrow. Also won’t be disappointed. This place is a hidden gem and spot on!!!

I had my eyes on this place for a while and after reading a couple of positive reviewed for my fellow Unilocalers… I finally got my husband to agree to give this place a try. We stopped by for a Saturday lunch. Surprisingly shocked by the emptiest of the restaurant. I think it is mostly due to the location that they are in and also the sushi told us that they do a lot of take out. Anyhow, we set down and ordered. Our sushi lunch was delicious and fish were very fresh. I highly recommend this place. They also offer AYCE deal for $ 20. I didn’t ask much about it, but would give this try next time I am in the mood for sushi.

Good food, great service. My son and I got and assortment of rolls, all delicious. The plain rolls, like salmon, come with a bit of scallion in them, which really gives them a boost. Look, we live a long way from the ocean, so none of the fish around here is all that fresh. It could use a little help. The service was top notch. We were treated like family sitting there at the sushi bar. They gave us the lunch special prices even though it was past the official lunch time, and it was an absolute steal. Six rolls for $ 20. Tea was on the house. The location is not great, but it’s worth a couple extra minutes of driving. Especially if you find yourself about to eat at one of the many absolute food toilets in the area(mall food court, ihop, moe’s, etc.)

This was my first time going to this restaurant. As a self– proclaimed sushi lover, I am always trying new places. I also love a good deal and love the concept of All You Can Eat sushi for 20.00! First, you need not be scared away by the empty atmosphere. My husband and I were the only patrons there for awhile. More people shuffled in later. But I never once felt uncomfortable. It was quiet, peaceful and very clean. We ordered several items off the starters menu, including the Chef’s Salad that was so delicious I ordered another(AYCE, right?) the seaweed salad was perfect and the seafood was cooked just right! Very tasty!!! We had the calamari, goyza, and sashimi. Quality of the fish was great. Very comparable to other high end restaurants. We ordered several rolls, all were delicious, with fresh ingredients. The underground dragon roll was yummy with seaweed salad on top– different and great texture! There were large pieces of fish in each roll and I was most surprised when the Spicy Tuna was hand mashed, thick chunks of tuna with spicy mayo! You do not see that kind of quality at a lot of places. The owner was very nice, offered us free beverages and explained what each roll was. I didn’t feel rushed or overwhelmed by waitstaff. Over all great experience and food! If you’re in the area try them out!

Okay, first thing: Don’t let the atmosphere scare you off! Try it! My boyfriend and I love sushi and decided to venture into here. I stepped in and automatically wanted to run. It was dark, had awful décor, no other customers, and you could hear a pin drop. I kept whispering«We can ask to do take-out instead». So glad we didn’t! Rolls were delicious. Not the best I’ve ever had, but pretty dang tasty given what I was expecting. Also, they are very cheap, which appeals to me. Great value. The best part was the service. Both the waitress and who I believed to be the owner were the sweetest people! The owner came over to check in on us and chatted for a bit. Then he returned with a free appetizer of wasabi & pork shumai on the house – just because. He either made too many or felt like cooking, but it was so very sweet and DELICIOUS! Take out on the Chinese side is great too – they give you free rolls with certain priced orders.

I crave sushi at least once or twice a week but it’s tough to go when you have little ones, so I decided to try this place for take out this week. I had the lunch roll special-salad with 3 rolls for $ 10. You can’t beat the price and it was excellent! Very fresh and the staff were very friendly. So happy to have found a sushi place close to home when I am craving it. Will definitely be back soon.

Give this place a shot. I went to this place when only a few customers inside. There was one chef who pretty much ran everything. I heard about their $ 20 All-You-Can-Eat menu. After skeptical, I gave it a shot. Everything was great and presentation was beautiful. After making lots of conversation with the chef, I then find out I’m speaking to Nancy, the former head chef of Tokyo Japanese Restaurant which was a real pleasure. The rolls were crafted beautifully and tasted great. Everything from the sashimi, nigiri, and maki rolls. Keep in mind, it’s $ 20 dollars for AYCE and for that price and what you get, I would give this place a chance. Cheers Friends!

Just got some take out and I have to say this is among the worst sushi I have had. The rice is mushy, the tuna doesn’t taste fresh and the salmon roll has cucumber in that tastes days old. As a huge sushi fan this was a big let down. In fact I couldn’t even finish my meal and I I could eat sushi every day. I would not recommend this sushi to anyone.

Fantastic. Hubby and I randomly stopped in awhile back for a quick lunch. We shared a sushi roll — delicious. We each had salmon teriyaki. You could tell the ingredients were fresh, and they were quality. And were seasoned perfectly. We enjoyed every bite. Pair that with a sweetheart of a server, and quick lunch service… success.

Henrietta has delish Korean food, a good steak joint, but they have horrible Japanese restaurants in that area. My experiences have made me steer clear from sushi joints in Henni and this was the last nail in the coffin. Also, do they all use the same landscaper, or rather, lack of? These Japanese restaurants in Henni look rundown on the outside, which doesn’t entice me to go and risk getting less than sushi grade raw fish. I should’ve known when I saw a cat looking pretty comfortable rolling around next to the entrance. No pun intended here. I really have to pay more attention of the location on these Groupons. The dining area is small and they have a karaōke set up near the entrance, but it would be more fitting for a private party unless you don’t get stage-fright. They have two menus, Chinese and Japanese because they also own Mandarin Court right next door. Browsing through the Japanese menu, they have typical sushi, sashimi, and rolls. I’ve heard of a majority of them and there were just a few that I would consider as the restaurant’s special rolls. There’s a small selection of appetizers consisting of edamame, gyoza, tempura, and fried ika. For sushi virgins, it’s helpful that they categorize cooked from raw sushi and rolls on the menu. We ordered the sushi/sashimi combo which consisted of 6 pieces of sushi, 10 pieces of sashimi, and we substituted the cali roll for a spicy tuna roll. The dinner came with one miso soup and salad. The server was very nice and gave us each a soup and salad since we were sharing. The miso soup was bland, but they give more tofu and seaweed than other places. The salad dressing was a sweet, watery mayo with grated carrots and cabbage, similar to coleslaw, but as a dressing. The portion of each piece of fish was good, but the sushi was unimpressive. Their spicy tuna roll was mushy and not spicy at all. I prefer chunks of tuna mixed with the spicy mayo sauce. We also ordered the chef maki roll. This was the best thing I had. It had good flavor with the eel wrapped inside, eel and mayo sauce drizzled on the bottom, and topped with white tuna and colorful fish eggs. My review would’ve been less harsh if it wasn’t for the good sized strand of hair twisted in the rice of one of our sushi pieces. At that point, I was disgusted and force fed myself the rest of my dinner after thorough checks. Sayonara.

Top line review: good for takeout, decent/average food that will do the job when some simple sushi is craved. First time left alone with my newborn and toddler, so it was no time to venture to the stove. Time for delivery. Easy clean-up, healthy, appetizing, and no utensils necessary were on the list of requirements for me. I ordered salmon teriyaki, eel and avocado roll, ikura sushi, and tamago sushi. The order fit the bill, and my girl and I ate and enjoyed everything ordered. The sushi and sushi roll met expectations for a no-frills type of sushi — freshly made with good ingredients. The salmon teriyaki was about average — nicely pan-fried and not dry or over-cooked. Downsides were the half inch of watery teriyaki sauce with a variety of slightly over and undercooked onions, carrots, mushrooms, broccoli and green bell peppers swimming in it. It came with fried rice(edible but nothing special) and a side salad(I ordered, miso soup, but whatever!).

I enjoyed this place. My family and i travel a lot and we love to get sushi. We came across this place and went in. Staff was friendly, service was quick and attentive. Food was yummy but portions on sushimi and some rolls where a bit small. I really enjoyed the new york roll jalapeño substitute for cucumber. Dragon roll was good, but small. Sashimi salmon and tuna sashimi were delicious, full of flavor and so fresh. All you can eat sushi for 20 $, we should have done this, it was about the same as our check ended up anyway.

Went here with friends the other night after some games of ultimate frisbee because we knew it was new-ish and had sushi, and overall I’d say we had a pretty pleasant experience. To summarize the whole shebang pretty quickly, here goes nothing! + Karaōke machine! Friendliness, great service, easily the most inexpensive sushi and sashimi in all of Rochester, some different rolls than your standard rolls, very tightly wrapped maki rolls — Flavorless sushi rice(missing that vinegar and basic seasoning), off-cuts of some fish, general blandness of sauce and some of the fish I think I’ll definitely be back for sure if only for the prices, but if you’re expecting to be blown away by the fish, you’re probably better off lowering your expectations

First time here. Great service and food was excellent. Everything was decently priced as well so for a family dining, it was a great deal. I recommend this to anyone!
