I have been going here for a loong time.. Came all the way from berwick maine tonight to get food. well unfortunately tonight will be the LAST time we come here! I ordered the 7a plate me and my daughter split it and a sm lo mein. I ordered egg foo young and my daughter hates it so I asked if they could put it in separate container at first they said SURE. I paid. as I was waiting a man came from out back and told the kid working the kitchen will not package it separately.. The kid called me over told me that they can’t do that I said I was fine if they threw it in a sm rice container or another container if it was a cost thing I will pay extra.. I didn’t want the grease and it mixed with the other food. They said no the kitchen doesn’t have time to do that anymore! I coldnt believe it and I told them I thought that was absolutely RIDICULOUS! Well I hope taking that two extea seconds it woulda taken to throw it on a different container was worth a costumer that has been going there for years nevwr returning and I will let my friends and family that all go there how absurd this visit was and how they obviously don’t care about their customers! ! Really disappointed.

The old building was horrible. New building is much nicer and the food better. A lot better than most of the Chinese restaurants in the area. Boneless pork ribs never seem to be too big of a hit but everything else is good. Best Mai tai I’ve ever had but the bar is awkward as there is nobody else ever sitting at it and the staff is always hanging around you waiting for you to leave

Tried the new location in Rochester. Food is better then before but not worth a return trip. No flavor. Beef & broccoli blah. Egg roll ok. Fried rice blah. Nothing to get excited about but better than it was

I’ve gone a few times and liked them but tonight I found plastic in my food. I called to notify them and the girl on the phone didn’t seem phased one bit. No sorry, nothing, she just kept asking for my name and number to give me a credit. I don’t even care about a credit, I care that you have plastic in your food and that’s not a big deal to you. I don’t think I’ll be going back, even if it is free.

My first visit to Liu’s restaurant, called in my order to go. It was fantastic! The fried shrimp was cooked just right and sweet n sour chicken, delicious. Lots of fried rice. Everything was very good. Will be visiting there again soon.

Way better than Dynasty, that’s for sure. Clean restaurant inside. Wish they had a lunch special, but the food was good.

This used to be my favorite place but I think it’s going downhill. I called take-out order and went to pick up at the new location in the crab Rangoon’s which are our favorite have hardly any filling in them now and their chicken fingers were crunchy overcooked even though The new place looks a lot better and cleaner but maybe they’re slacking on the food to help pay for the new location

We went to their new location tonight and i asked them for a substitution of chop suey from rice. They told me no(even though they are the same price) so i said i cant eat rice so could i just pay a little extra and get all chopsuey and no rice. She again said no. So my husband said he would eat the rice. When we got the order she completly ommitted the rice(even though i paid for it). She said so sorry. Wtf ! I paid for it.

The food was great but the customer service and atmosphere was bad. Dirty restaurant and the older woman is rude. Doesn’t provide napkins and can’t get sauces on the side or very many special requests. The hand written signs by the front counter are a bit offensive. I will be getting Chinese elsewhere from now on.

We ordered from here on a night we were too lazy to go out and pick up from our usual Chinese place. Food was okay, like 50⁄50 on what was good and what was blah. First though, delivery took quite some time. We ordered and received our food about an hour later; this place is a 5 minute drive and we didn’t order a whole lot, nor was it prime dining hours. Lemon chicken was a little bland, but the sweet and sour chicken was great. The crab rangoon was a disappointment. We were given extra beef teriyaki, which was delicious and the rice and egg rolls were alright. All in all, we’d give them another chance. The food was still satisfying and the price was right.

NEVERAGAIN Poor quality food. Rice was overcooked, pork was all fat and gristle, and a staple? really? I was afraid to eat the rice after that. The only think I felt was good was the Terriaki. I dont care if they are moving across the street. Their lack of quality scared me off forever. Friend of mine tried them again the other day, and it was terrible she said. I said ‘told you so’. I will not be ordering from them again.

I’ve been going to Liu’s Garden for years now and they never disappoint. I think it’s the best Chinese food around. The combos are a great price and you get a lot of food on the regular menu. Food is always hot and they are always quick with it. Their chicken teriyaki is the best. Love their Chicken Lo Mien also.

Our family has ordered take out from Lius for many years, probably since the day they opened(we have lived down the street for 30+ years). I have NEVER had such a bad experience as we did tonight. We will never order from this restaurant again. Tonight’s order included extremely dry pork fried rice, the chewiest general tso’s chicken ever tasted and freezer burned premade/frozen crab ragoons. After contacting the restaurant and told there was nothing they could do, we found a bone in the chicken. Husband is now bringing the bone to them and demanding a refund.

YUM! What I was looking for in Chinese food! I grew up in the seacoast area but have lived in the mid west for 13 years. I can not get Chinese food like what I grew up with any where else! Liu’s Garden hit the spot on a recent visit to the area! Thanks!

Liu’s Garden is a classic greasy Chinese restaurant. They give nice big portions with your order, but you may pay for those large portions in the end(if you know what I mean). If you’re in the mood for large amounts of really tasty and greasy Chinese food, then go for it! Just don’t expect anything more.

Yuck. If you want a ton of greasy food, this is your kinda place. You can smell the grease from 100 yards. My dog can smell it from a quarter-mile, more than once she was found lurking at the dumpster there.

We order from here once in a while when we’re too lazy to get dressed enough to go out. They deliver, which helps too, though I’ve only used that convenience once. My girlfriend doesn’t mind this place, but I’m usually pretty leery of ordering from them. For some reason, I always feel a little sickly after eating their food. Several of the sauces taste pretty much the same(Sesame chicken, General T’s, orange chicken, etc.). They use the typical cheap, fatty cuts of meat you’ll find at any cheap Chinese joint. And come to think of it, they’re not really all that cheap either. We’re lucky if we get food for under $ 30 bucks, which isn’t bad, if you don’t take into account the quality of the food. Still, our neighbors swear by it, so take my opinion with a grain of salt.

When we walked in to order, we found the staff(of 3) playing cards in the kitchen prep table(visible just behind the front counter). They were nice enough, and there weren’t any other customers but it took them awhile to notice us. and on a kitchen table? come on, that’s not best practice. «Meh» is right. Although they were very fast to compile our order, you could tell(at 7pm) that most of the food had been sitting out. Egg rolls were tough and the lo mien and rice were very dark, hinting they they’ve been sitting for awhile. The sauces used were a little tart. My first impression was that there was something wrong, but sucked it up and accepted it. Maybe i’m just not use to it — but it did taste much different than anything i’ve had before — in an off sort of way. Overall, I think I will check out the other Asian restaurants in town before I re-try this one. Nothing caught my attention to make a mental note to come back.
