Kind wait staff, comfortable surroundings, a little on the loud side, with uneven quality of pastries and coffee drinks. My two Americanos were on the lukewarm and weak side. The apple crisp was fresh and delicious, an improvement over previous purchases.

This place is comfortable and purposeful. Good selection of food, fresh coffee, wifi, and plenty of open seating. Unlike other coffee shops, the music here isn’t excessively loud. Good study/work spot.

Best coffee I can find in Rochester. Place is spacious. Friendly. Furniture by the fireplace is comfy. Lots of seating in general. A little nook for those serious about work or studying. Outside table/chairs for the Minnesota nice days. Thanks DUNN! Keep it up.

This is my go-to for breakfast. Their omelets are terrific, and they offer scones(the raspberry white chocolate is great) and quiche, oatmeal and more. Coffee is great, atmosphere is cozy and comfortable with a seating area that has couches and arm chairs in addition to tables and chairs. Wonderful spot to meet friends, bring the family, or stop for a quick drink/snack.

This is for the service. Food was good coffee was good but I feel very uncomfortable coming here now because I had the audacity to suggest hey label their sauces correctly. I had a nice order of biscuits and gravy, eggs done great coffee great. Here’s the rub. I like hot sauce, they have two bottles, labeled franks red hot. It is in squeeze bottles not the original franks bottle. I put a dab on and noticed it was very bright orange and thicker than franks as I know it. It was buffalo hot wing sauce. That was fine but I assumed regular franks as it that was what it was labeled. Not really a problem but went up to tell them that it wasn’t franks or if it was it was a buffalo style. The employee assured me it was franks and so I said that’s fine but it isn’t normal. Not really a big deal and I went to sit down. The employee came out a few minutes later with the big jar of franks they use to fill squeeze bottles. She wanted to tell me that I was right and she was right. The bottle was franks buffalo style sauce. I said thanks, but they should label it that way then since there is a difference. For anyone that likes hot sauce, it’s a big difference. She walked away and said it was fine the way it was. I felt very uncomfortable at that point, and now will never go back. I wasn’t trying to be mean or rude, i was just telling them it was mislabeled or wrong. I was polite when I said it I thought. Clearly that annoyed this woman, she felt the need to make sure I knew she was right, and then chastised me for suggesting that they properly label it. Franks seems to think they should label it, so you know wha you are getting, seems this woman doesn’t agree. Ruined the experience, all the other times people have been kind, and they had regular franks, so I was surprised by the change. Had i slathered the plate with it I would have been very unhappy. If I ever went back I would be worried she would serve me and I do t want that.

Rochester is deprived of the locally owned independent coffee shop vibe of the cities, luckily Dunns fills that role nicely. I’ve never had a bad coffee from here, and the staff is very friendly. They have a full menu too with tons of delicious options. I think the best part of this Dunns is the relaxed, cozy atmosphere. It’s a perfect place to get work done, and a laid back hangout spot. I highly recommend the steamed chocolate nirvana, and chicken salad.

They roast their own beans and the Ethiopian coffee is incredible. They also serve a pretty full menu, hot foods like eggs and pastry too. Staff is super nice. It does have a weird vibe depending on time of day. Earlier, it seems like a place where old folks hang out. Later in the day, young people tend to hang out here. In fact yesterday I was between two different young couples who seemed to be meeting the first time, maybe an date? They have free wi-fi and plenty of room to sit and work. Plus, I can get my coffee in a mug and I like that. I shall return.

One pretentious person after another commonly takes up a booth or four top for hours to use the wifi while patrons stand. Other than that, love the place! Good quality coffee and knowledgeable staff. For food they offer the usual pastries and snacks one would expect at any coffee shop and they are average but the lunch menu has more options than expected.

Came here to study on the weekend. They have plenty of tables, a few of them with outlets, and free wifi. There are a few comfortable couches in front of a fireplace and the decorations are very coffee related. I got the cappuccino which was pretty decent and strong, but not the best I’ve had. They have a selection of many pastries, sandwiches, salads, quiches, and soup. The breakfast menu looks great even though I didn’t order any. The drink selection seems great too.

not all coffee shops are created equal and not all chains are actually chains. This dunn Bros is a cut above the rest because it has quite a bit of good food to eat. My favorite is the creamy tomato soup and grilled cheese… they have a big selection of breakfast favorites too and they cook them on the spot so they are hot fresh and delicious. They have chicken salad and tuna sandwiches, and various rolls, muffins, and such. I love that they have little nooks to sit in with tables, booths, chairs, couches. They also have a free computer set up so you can swing in and access the internet… Excellent place to meet up with a friend, or kill some time while waiting to pick up a child, or grab a bite after a day of shopping… they have some local talent doing music some nights too…

The cinnamon roll was wonderful. Perfect softness and amazing frosting. My friend had a white mocha and liked it, but I had a mocha and thought the texture was dry and chalky, not creamy as I like my milk to be. It made me wonder if they use powder to flavor it or syrup. But the staff was nice and attentive, so overall, I was pleased to find this in the area.

The fireplace is VERY nice in winter, however their drinks and service are uneven. I’ve had my espresso burnt, my chai underspiced, and my omelet uninspired. When things go right, though, their drinks are very tasty — try the mocha affogato(ice cream, mocha & whipped cream). The service is lacking — the baristas will barely smile at you, and look like they’ve been coached to make poor eye contact. I’ve given it a try a few times, and I’m not all that impressed.

Probably the best place to hang out for a few hours near the Rochester Rec Center. Variety of comfortable seating with tables, couches, comfy chairs. Energetic and caring staff. Good regular and«fancy» coffees. If you’ve never had Dunn Brothers coffee, it is sort of halfway between a Caribou Coffee and a Starbucks. Stronger and richer than Caribou, which I think is often watered down tasting, and Starbucks, which I prefer but I know a lot of people find it to be too strong. They’re wrong, of course. :-)
