Mandala Tea

I just started getting into teas and I am really having fun learning about and tasting the different types. This place is great, huge selection and very helpful staff and info. I recommend giving them a try.

I went in to Mandala Tea to buy a gift for someone who knows tea. They were so patient with me and taught me a lot about tea and asked the right questions to identify the perfect gift. Very friendly and helpful with a great variety of teas. (And it turned out they pointed me to just the right gift!)

Since moving to Minneapolis I’ve tried almost every tea shop up here and nothing comes close to what Mandala offers in Rochester (formally Winona). Every tea there is so much higher quality than any other tea shop I’ve tried and their customer service is next to none. I learned so much from Garret when I was first getting into tea. It’s because of all this that I try to stop in whenever I’m in the area and continue to buy from them online as well. Speaking of which, their shipping is incredibly fast and cheap.

If you like tea, then you need to try Mandala Tea. They are very passionate about their tea and you know you are getting a high quality product every sip you take. Its easy to purchase their tea as well, by stopping into their cute shop or ordering online. This is the only place we get our tea from.

Perfect place for high quality loose leaf tea without the pretentious attitude. I went here with a friend to check out the tea options. We ended up staying over an hour tasting tea, learning about tea history, and asking questions galore. Jamie was extremely knowledgeable and so fun to talk to. $ 30 got me two loose leaf teas (2 oz each), small tea pot, & 2 sippers. I will absolutely return here again and recommend tea lovers check it out!

I couldn’t be more impressed with a tea shop. The owners are tea importers and actually travel to China to source their teas. They only purchase teas which are high quality and are grown in areas without air pollution. I’ve purchased or sampled several of their teas, and all are delicious. When you consider how many times you can steep tea leaves before disposing of them, the price-​per-​cup is also quite reasonable. The owners are both very knowledgeable and very helpful & friendly. As a side note, Mandala is the supplier for several coffee/​tea houses in Rochester.
All other things equal, I always prefer a local business over a chain business, just because I want to support my community. In this case, I can’t imagine another business being their equal. I’m proud to have a business like this in my city. I wish everyone at all businesses had this level of enthusiasm and attention to quality in their work – the world would be an amazing place.

Mandala Tea is the BEST. If you want excellent tea and excellent customer service, this is the place to go (or order from). The staff are always kind and helpful, and their selection of tea is outstanding. They have a huge selection of puerh with great prices as well.

I have been a customer of Mandala Tea for years. I have since moved away from Minnesota and have had no luck finding a match for quality of tea, expertise from the owners, AND price. They are truly amazing and have a customer for life.
