Chef King

Whenever I’m in the mood for Chinese food, ill come here. They have good service and good food. Never had a single problem with them.

I ordered the chicken with broccoli and sesame chicken. The good news was that the chicken broccoli tasted great. The bad news was the sesame chicken was raw. I had them deliver a new order of sesame chicken but again the chicken was raw. Honestly, when I cut open a piece it didn’t even look like chicken. The man who dropped off the food was questioning me about which piece was raw. I thought that the customer was always right.
Unfortunately I will not be ordering from Chef King again and it’s a shame because if I had just stuck to the chicken broccoli the rating would have been higher. But due to the unappetizing sesame chicken and the poor customer service, Chef King will not being getting anymore business from me.

Food’s pretty generic American Chinese, a good option for takeout in the area especially considering some of the more lackluster options around. Delivery takes awhile, considering how close they are to my place.

The positives about Chef King is their vegetables: they always appear to be fresh and they taste clean. The rest of their food is inconsistent.
The hot and sour soup can be wonderful: spicy and porky with silky slivers of tofu and mushrooms. Other times it’s greasy, too hot, and a waste of the Styrofoam container its in. Each time I order it, I am hoping desperately for the former, but recently, more times than not, it’s the latter.
I find their pork fried rice typically a bit too tasteless.
The boneless spare ribs can be good, but again, inconsistent. The last time we had them they were 80% fat. Fat that tasted as if they had been doused in pepper and bathed in syrup. Gross!
The delivery guy is not friendly, which is a complete disservice to the restaurant. He has delivered to our home nearly a dozen times, we always tip well, yet he just shoves the food and receipt in my hand, and zooms off.
I would say they have about an 90% order accuracy rate. I don’t recommend attempting to customize an order over too much over the telephone. Either language barrier or indifference can create a mess.
We will continue to order form Chef King simply because they are nearby, deliver, and are reasonably priced. My hope is that they raise their standards and maintain a level of quality so that frequent customers are not disappointed.

Always delicious food, always tastes fresh. I’m a big fan of their broccoli and always steal some of my gf’s from her dish ;) We never eat there though, too small. Always best to take out. They also cook to your order, and don’t complain. For example, my gf likes her General Tso’s chicken non-​spicy, and it’s not an issue for them altering their recipes.
