Hawthorne Home Appliance & Electronics

I’ve read some negative reviews on the Hawthorne’s in Birmingham, and I just want to say that those don’t apply to the Rochester Hawthorne at all! So please don’t pass this place up based on their other location’s downfalls.
First, our experience in the store was very pleasant. The salespeople are not overbearing or pushy at all. They wait for you to make the first move, which for me is a huge plus. Once we decided to ask questions, Kurt was very helpful. He was knowledgeable on all the appliances we were looking for (refrigerator, stove, microwave, and dishwasher), and he got us great prices on all of them. We had been to a few other big-​box stores prior to Hawthorne, and I felt like they were a bit «sales-​y». I know you have to have a pitch in this business, but sometimes the «buy in the next half hour and we can install today» pitch seems icky. Hawthorne’s is nothing like that! Kurt was very laid-​back and let us go at our own pace.
The thing that really got my onto Unilocal to write a review was the installation. Kevin was so pleasant to work with! He was punctual, professional, and quick. He kept me in the loop the whole time he was installing, and went above and beyond to show me all the cool features of my new appliances. I felt very comfortable having him in my home, and being a female that is a huge plus. If you do buy from Hawthorne, definitely ask for Kevin to install!
The delivery was prompt. They called me and gave me an hour window, which is great so I didn’t have to wait for 3 – 4 hours. They were on time and quick.
That’s all I have to say! Believe me, the other Hawthorne’s might have it issues, but those definitely don’t apply to the Rochester location. It’d be worth it to make the trip out here and buy from the professionals! :)

I love shopping here! The salesmen are really friendly and will work to get you a great price! I have bought two tv’s here and will keep going back for future appliance and electronic purchases.
