CJ Mahoney’s

They’ve made some nice updates to the menu recently. We enjoy going here, as its close to our house and has good specials. Lots of TVs for watching the game.

Food is great! Prices not bad. The only bad thing about this place, is many of the waitresses wear way TOO MUCH perfume! It’s hard to breathe when they come by. Even sitting outside doesn’t help! Kind of ruins your meal!

Not too shabby. Good prices on drinks and decent selection of beers on tap. The menu has all kinds of choices and the prices are pretty right on.
Most of the staff is friendly and on the right day you might score a bowl of pretzels while you drink at the bar. It’s nice to see some salty bar snacks being handed out without having to ask.
Overall, this place is a good choice and beats out the nearby competition. If you are deciding on place to drink in this area CJ’s is definitely worth hitting.

C.J. Mahoney’s is by far my FAVORITE local restaurant. They never fail at bringing us the best in sports on every television. Not to mention wall to wall TV’s and a TV at every table, including television viewing on exterior patio’s. Definitely check out the NEW patio! A great place to catch a game.
Weather you are grabbing a MUCHO Nacho or a Pretzel Bun (Bavarian) sandwich, they never disappoint. ALL the items on the menu are pretty amazing. Not to mention the daily specials and happy hour specials. The beer is always cold and the food is always DELICIOUS. Not to mention their quick, awesomely friendly waitstaff that is always on point and very helpful with making dining/​menu decisions.
Two thumbs up and definitely recommend giving them a try.

Great service. The new outdoor patio is baller! Tvs outside are the shit along with the fire. They do serve one of the best Moscow mules I’ve had, the food is pretty amazing! Barvarian is on point

As far as a sports bar goes, this place has it all! TVs everywhere, Good food, great drinks, and beautiful girls! Couldn’t ask for more! I clearly remember the first time I went in there, it was during a red wings playoff game, and I was overwhelmed by the heat my waitress was radiating. Being slightly flustered I ordered the first draft beer I saw. When I received the beer, it was slightly flat, so I kindly mentioned that to the smoke show of a waitress next time she made her rounds. Before I knew it, the stud of a manager came over with a fresh beer and insisted on buying the round… for the table!!! At that moment I knew this place had my heart. Now that’s what I call customer service!!! You don’t even want me to get started on the food. Chicken quesadilla –bomb. Cheeseburgers — bomb. Buffalo wings — bomb. You can’t go wrong ordering anything on the menu. I would highly recommend this place for anybody looking for a great meal or an awesome environment to enjoy any event.

Good local sports bar. They have great daily lunch specials so you don’t get bored with the menu, even when you eat there 3 times a week!

Love the food. Jackie, our bartender, is wonderful! We had been there 5 weeks earlier & not only did she remember us but she remembered I didn’t like orange juice in my margarita. We asked if we could order fish tacos with grilled not battered fish (which isn’t listed as an option) & Jackie made it happen. Great food but more impressed by Jackie.

This is one of the best bars I have ever been to. The waitresses are really friendly and the drinks are reasonably priced. I come here about 3 – 4 times a month!

I don’t drink alcohol and I love this place! The food is what it should be, traditional bar food. But it’s GREAT. I’ve come in a few times with my husband and I actually crave their food days later.
The staff is very friendly and work quickly. The atmosphere is fun, and it’s a great place to just pop into if you don’t have plans for the night. Or it’s fun to plan for. Either way it works!

I’ve been coming here for years. The waitresses and servers are great! Their food is very good I love their chicken wings!

Love this sports bar! There are tons of tvs for your sports viewing pleasure. The staff is always accommodating to get the game on that you would like to see.
They always have a great special on domestic beers and some great local craft beer selections on tap. Love seeing a bar supporting local brewing companies.
The menu has a lot of options and they run daily food specials. The servers always have good recommendations on their menu items.
The servers and bartenders are always friendly and outgoing. That always makes for a great atmosphere in a bar!

C.J. Mahoneys… what a treat! Terrific light beer specials, served in frozen mugs that gives them the edge on their local competitors. Their specially made grilled cheese sandwiches really put an enticing twist on some Kraft Singles. Oh and were those Lay’s wavy chips on the plate as well?! DELECTABLE!
Things to avoid here are the angry hoard of retired KGB members arguing at their 9 person party table. They will be there everynight just divert your eyes elsewhere.
Things we miss… Tommy.
Things we won’t miss… the DJ booth. This is an Irish pub through and through no need to have Beyoncé’s Drunk in Love remix to be any louder.

AMAZING!!! The food is awesome! Completely changed my view of «bar food». The staff is warm and friendly, the staff makes suggestions and stands by it, you never have to look around for anyone… Someone is always making sure everything is up to par. Make sure you go in on MNF for great giveaways and specials too! The amount of TVs they have makes it a great place to watch any sports event!

WARNING: THIS REVIEW IS LONG AND THE BAR HAS BEEN LOWERED BY THE OWNER REPLY. It’s with a heavy heart that I write this review. First let me start with the good things. The wait staff is great. The girls are fast and attentive. Bartenders are good and the manager TC is great !!! Now for the food !!! The Ribs are some of the best in the Detroit area. I told people that these Ribs belong in an area BBQ cook off, they are that good !!! I’ve been eating there for three years when I’m in town and I’ve had almost everything on the menu. Keeping in mind this is a sports bar. Here goes. Soups are good but they’re stuck on chicken !!! Appetizers forget it except spinach and artichoke dip. Sandwiches are so so at best. Hamburgers are CRAP !!! (dry and no flavor) I’ve had better burgers in a dive bar in Africa (no kidding !!!) Pizza, It’s filling !!! Chicken /​Fish (salmon) plane (no toppings) dull with rice (no baked potatoes, only on the weekends) WTH !!! What’s it take to store potatoes in the back !!! Now for the Mexican food. Can you picture Mexican food with no beans (only refried crap out of a can) Having said that, they have one of the best Mexican Chef I know of outside of Mexican Town in Detroit but given no spices, ingredients and no creative input what can you expect !!! I know this man can cook because he’s made me and others dishes not on the menu that are great !!! I’ve talked to the owner about the menu and about letting Marco (the Chef) cook some of the best Mexican around. After being told for seven months by the owner that the menu will change in two months but nothing has changed. I gave up, I’ll never help an owner again who doesn’t care about food. After all they do well with just the bar tabs .I hope Marco gets a better job (he’s under paid, over worked and is better then this place. If you want drink it’s a good bar. If you want to eat, go elsewhere !!! Like Alex’s Restaurant (next door) The good reviews are from bar friends or they’ve been drinking too much or they think fast food is great !!! Update: The owner did change the serving dishes, nice touch !!!

Came here again today after a long time away and it was great to see the difference a new owner can make! Good service, good food. No complaints at all and we will definitely be back.

Love the black bean burger on the pretzel bun with the bar potato chips. Pizza is great and I’m a fan of their flatbreads. Service is good, bar atmosphere, very casual.

The Best barfood I ever had, it’s not really bar food it’s great food, pizza and salads are awesome and most of the waitresses and all of the Barmaids are gorgeous 10’s. Many look like they come from Hooter Heaven. Lake perch and fish fry great also. Club wrap my fav.
The atmosphere is wonderful I’ve met so many nice people at the bar and it is my go to place from now on. The owner Brandon, appreciates his customers and you’ll know it once he sees you in there a few times. He teaches his girls very well, they are the most respectable likable friendly funny girls that I have ever ever seen in a restaurant or bar not to mention super looking babes.
I’m there every football night Thursday night football Monday night football Sunday football it’s the place to be, it’s got a patio and everything what a great place where everybody knows your name, and they care about you and make sure you get home safely if you’re there too late or too long. Let’s all support a local place that does well and takes care of its people and knows what customer service and great food is all about as well as fun times. Keep up the great work Brandon!!! And all the great staff at CJ Mahoney’s.
