Service was very very bad. Our server was extremely rude and was demanding. Food is subpar and very over priced. Most likely wouldn’t return

This place is an average sports bar. A friend and I came here around 7:00 on a Tuesday night while two big sports teams were playing(Red Wings vs Tampa Bay Lightning playoff game and Detroit Tigers vs. the NY Yankees) and the bar area had plenty of seats available. We immediately found chairs by the bar and the bartender seemed to be talking to her friend the entire time. It took her 20 minutes just to give us the bill after she cleared our area. The food was average and bland besides the JJ sticks which was awesome. They sounded like a heart-attack waiting to happen but it was well worth it. It was a calzone pizza cut into mini pizza sticks with mozzarella sticks, chicken tenders, Italian sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms and fries, all cut up and mixed up inside. Other then for the JJ sticks, I wouldn’t come back to this place.

I like this place. I installed the TV’S and Audio system when they were building. So I have special place in my heart for it. $ 5 Bloody Mary Sunday mornings, piedmontese burgers. Yummy

We recently bought a groupon for this restaurant, and we were really impressed. Great food, very friendly staff, and a great location! We will be back many more times!

I love this place! They have good food and always good drink specials, sometimes the service isn’t that great but I always go back!

Horrible, only had a salad and it was nasty. Also very loud construction going on during lunch time. No sign or anything letting you know they were under construction. The waitress was great, and we gave our gratitude to her. Never going back though!

This is the most poorly run establishment in the area, and possibly the universe. The atmosphere is average, and the management is atrocious.

Good lunch place. Nothing out of the ordinary, nothing fancy. This is also a good place to take kids for dinner. It was a very loud restaurant so kids wouldn’t be a big deal at dinner.

The hills is nice bar/restaurant located just outside of downtown Rochester in the same plaza as papa Joe’s. With bar Louie conveniently located across the street, the Hills is easily the better choice of bars. The menu is very diverse anything from Asian to american and everything in between but that might just be the problem. The food is good but not great. I appreciate the choices however mastering each choice is the hard part about having so many options. The chicken noodle soup is great. So are the Piedmontese burgers. The Asian stir fry is ok. The choices are plentiful and you’re sure to be satisfied and full after eating here. Saturday nights are loud and fun at the hills. A lot of people gather for drinks and maybe an app before heading out to enjoy the night. I do love coming here especially when the only other neighboring choice is bar Louie. Try this place out!

The mushroom soup is amazing. Their food is ridiculously over priced, and there is not enough seating. I like it but can’t say I love it. I’d go back, especially on half off nacho night. I’d pay well for a good meal, but definitely not here.

Stay away from here if you want to eat. Very bad food. French dip had meat on it from last week. Fries were just as old and nasty. My mom ordered fish and macaroni and it looked old and nasty. She said it tasted bad. And they charged $ 14 bucks for her meal, one piece of fish and some old stale macaroni. I refused to pay for my food. Just nasty.

I used to come here all the time when it first opened. It was a lot of fun, great service, great drink specials, and decent food. I don’t know if they got new management but the place has turned for the worse in the last few years. Biggest problem: horrible service. If you get a guy waiter your service will be on a decent time, but not what you ordered. If you get a girl, you will see her talking at the bar, but never do her job or get your order right. Every time I’ve gone in the last few years(every 6 months) to see if they have gotten back to how they used to be and I’m only disappointed. The waitresses seem to only get more snobbish each visit. As for drink specials, it’s a joke. They hardly have any good drinks or at least they don’t know how to make one, and if they do its still over priced. This isn’t new york people! Food: don’t bother since they never get an order right or its served cold because the waitress is busy talking. If they try to bait you in with a coupon, don’t bother. they will say it won’t apply to your food or drinks and say a lazy excuse that they were not participating with that promotion. The only thing nice about this place is the building. If your looking for fun, great drinks, food, and services.. Don’t come here. I’m not a picky person, but it’s not hard for people to do their jobs.

I like the Hills. I love the Piedmontese burger. I really, really hate the late-night crowd here. I have such polarized views of this place. Good things: — Piedmontese burger. — Cocktails — Huge space for groups Not so good things: — Service is shotty — 21 year-olds infiltrating this place after 9PM every night of the week, being their usual obnoxious selves — It’s basically a glorified Bar Louie. Nothing on the menu is original or creative. This is the place to take your picky, traditional Aunt for lunch who orders a club sandwich everywhere she goes. The food is standard, boring, and although it tastes good, it’s just so… unexciting.

Had a coupon for the Hills Express and brought it to the Rochester Hills location because their address was on it. Originally, they told me it was only for the Orion location but honored it because they saw the confusion in what was listed. I got one of their legendary pizza sticks and I LOVED it. Real good. Very friendly wait staff as well. Will be back.

I have been to The Hills several times, and it’s(as Meredith says) average at best. We stopped in for a happy hour on a blustery blustery Friday evening, and sat close to the fireplace. That was nice. The happy hour specials are great. Half off wine(as well as other drink specials), and all appetizers. I had the Margherita pizza, which was okay… large for the price, which was half off the regular $ 14 sticker, I’m happy I didn’t have to pay that! I don’t know what else to say about it, as nothing is making my eyes flicker with excitement as I write this… no phenom memory(except my good company) that will make me come running back here if only for another quickie happy hour on my way home… so there you have it.

I have been here a few times and I am not sure why people keep returning? Trivia and drinks, sure but not for the food/service. I had chicken stir-fry. The sauce was plain, no kick– the rice was over cooked. Did not come with a salad($ 12). The person I was with got a burger, nothing to write home about. The waiter messed up the salad and something else with the dinners. It looks nice but way over priced. Once I got a carry out and the caesar salad and chicken fingers were horrible.

It’s been 3 years since my last review and things seem to have changed. I come here every Thursday for trivia and it’s the best around. It isn’t too busy and the drinks are relatively cheap for this hoity-toity shopping center. The food is really good. The pizza is great I highly suggest it. Don’t get the fry brick(a brick of fries smothered in cheese). It might seem like a ridiculously awesome idea, but it is not. They do have a seasonal BBQ menu which is great. The staff is very nice and attentive, even when I’m screaming out answers to trivia or making an ass of myself with the prizes we win. I don’t have any plans to come here on a weekend to see if it’s still too clubby, but weekday nights suit me just fine here.

A new friend wanted to take me out for lunch & this is his regular spot. Loved the building layout & interior, it is a cool place with a sweet vibe. Although I did not ever catch our servers name, she was always there & ready with a refill & a constant smile. My pal highly recommended the Highlander Wild mushrooms, apple wood bacon, American and Swiss cheese. And it came with a side of fries, that were cooked perfectly $ 12.00 The burger arrived fairly soon after ordering it, and it was very VERY Moist, tender & loaded with flavor, and the bun was unique, had flavor & a light crunch . I must give a positive shout out to the fresh brewed iced tea. as some places it is just NOT good, but here it was perfect lemony blend, with plenty of refills & a go cup for my departure. I can honestly say, I do not understand why it does not get barely any UnilocalLOVE ? I just now saw as I was posting this, that they have a rewards program, which i did not know about that day. but will join when I return
